A delightful one bedroom apartment in the heart of Playa del Ingles Fully air-conditioned.

The bedroom has 2 single beds and there is also a sofa bed in the lounge for a 3rd person. The apartment has a american kitchen, tiled bathroom with corner shower.

It is to be found on the 1st floor and the apartment block has a swimming pool

only 2mins walk from Cita shopping centre and 7 mins walk from the Yumbo centre

the famous dunes of Maspalomas only 15 mins walk and maspalomas beach about 20 mins walk

The Gran Canaria region

The amazing island of Gran Canaria is located in the Atlantic Ocean, 130 miles from the African coast. It is the third largest of the Canary Islands and has Fuerteventura and Tenerife as it neighbours. Las Palmas, situated in the north east of the island is its capital.

From the north to the south, this perfect holiday island has everything a traveller could wish for; the great diversity of climate, flora and fauna has led to this island being dubbed "The Miniature Continent". Where else can one find acres of sand dunes with a backdrop of verdant mountains within easy reach of some of the best restaurants, clubs, bars and cafés in Europe.

Gran Canaria has diversity of things to offer a tourist. The south is the most popular containing such delights as Puerto de Mogán (a picturesque village also known as Little Venice), Puerto Rico, Maspalomas and the famous Playa del Ingles where this property is located.

The Playa Del Ingles area

'The Englishman's beach' is how Playa del Ingles translates - those naming the resort had great foresight as today thousands of Brits flock here for sun, sea and San Miguels.

Situated at the south of Gran Canaria island, the resort is one of the largest and busiest in Europe and its main attractions are the wide sandy beaches that stretch from the Maspalomas dunes to San Agustin in the north. The seafront is lined by the lovely pedestrian promenade, the Paseo Costa Canaria, planted with lush gardens. It is great for everybody from the younger market, families to older visitors who are attracted by the glorious year-round climate and endless beach.

Shopping:
There is many shops in Playa del Ingles where visitors can buy in some duty free delights, including cheap electrical shops and stalls selling imitation designer wear and African curios.

Yumbo is the biggest and most popular and also houses the Tourist Information Centre. Five minutes away are the Kasbah and Metro centres, but the widest selection of quality designer wear is in nearby Plaza Maspalomas. The San Fernando Market is held every Wednesday and Saturday morning and the Atlantico Shopping Centre is just a 15mins bus ride.

Restaurants:
There is a wide choice of places to eat in Playa del Ingles, from fast food (including McDonalds), Chinese, Italian and local cuisine, and rows of restaurants with international cuisine. One of the favourites is an English bar/restaurant called BRITANNIA which can be found in the Gran Chaparal Centre along with Kim's Bar where a warm welcome is assured to people of all ages.

There are a selection of restaurants on the Avenida de Tirajana and Avenida de Tenerife, those looking for some authentic local cuisine should try Casa Vieja in Calle de Fataga.

Night-life:
Playa del Ingles is packed with bars, pubs and clubs, especially in the Kasbah centre, which is home to the famous Cream and Pascha nightclubs, both of which pump out the best in dance music until the early hours. Chinawhites is also immensely popular. Also in the Kasbah is the Hippodrome, Havana and, next door, Sugar a small cocktail bar that is a good place to start the evening.

The English and Irish centres are also lively and entertaining. The Yumbo centre is orientated towards the gay scene at night and Rickys Cabaret Bar and SPARKLES has regular drag shows; the centre is also popular with families looking for a less hectic evening. There are quieter bars along the promenade and a casino on the edge of town.

Activities:
For those who have had enough of the beach there is loads of entertainment and activities for all ages, including amusement arcades, mini-golf, tennis, golf, scuba diving, skydiving, water parks, go-carting, horse riding and camel riding. Water sports in Playa del Ingles include jet-skiing, windsurfing and banana boat rides.

“Good quality apartment in great location” A very well equipped apartment with a delightful shares pool (nice view). Very conveniently located with shops, bars and restaurants in close proximity. Owners are very helpful with local information. Not a typical holiday apartment, feels very homely.

“Good value” Very good location at a very good price. You get what you see in the photos. It's half way between the dunes and the Yumbo centre.....perfect.

“Excellent Apartment in a Excellent Location.” Stayed for one week in December. The apartment was exceptional for my needs. very comfortable indeed and most things thought of. Everything in apartment you will need. The only thing it was missing for me, was use of Wifi, most bars in Gran Canaria have free wifi so it wasn't a major problem, it would have just been nice to have. The owner, Neil was very nice, and every email I sent him prior to visit was answered quickly. You are a 5 minutes walk to the Yumbo Centre or the Beach. And round the corner is the Cita Centre - so excellent location. They allow smoking inside the apartment which was a bit of a worry for me (none Smoker), but Neil had opened all the windows and aired the place out well prior to me arriving, and the only sign smoking was allowed was an ashtray. I highly recommend this apartment, and I hope to use it again.

“excellent choice” i have just returned from 1 week stay at this perfect apartment. the location is spot on close to beach/dunes and shopping centres the complex is safe ,quiet and very well maintained.the apartment is spacious ( the balcony has been incorperated into the living area), well furnished and equipped andbooking was very straight foreward .Neil was very helpful answering any queries i had about the ares and also allowing me a late checkout . I would highly recommend this apartment for your stay in PDI

“unbeatable quality/price ratio” Unlike other flats in GC, this is well furnished. We specially enjoyed the garden view and the SAT TV. It was a perfect location for us, halfway of the dunes and the night clubs
