The Tenerife region
Tenerife has all-the-year round sunshine, approx 20*C in Winter & 28*C in the summer months, plus it is on the same time zone as the U.K. There are many, many Restaurants, bars, shops, theme parks (including the new Siam Park - reckoned to be the largest in Europe). With golf courses just a short distance away in Costa Adeje, Las Americas & Los Cristanos. Of course no visit would be complete without an Island sightseeing tour and/or a visit to the famous Mount Teide volcano.

Lots of shopping opportunities with a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars (live Sky Sport covering all the big football matches etc), supermarkets, ten pin bowling & crazy golf, to name just a few of the facilities available. Their are also opportunities to hire a car or a bike or just to take one of the many coach tours on offer & of course in the evening there are plenty of night clubs to while the night away.
If you are feeling very fit, Tenerife is ideal for walking or jogging - the paved promenade along the seafront, stretches all the way from Los Cristanos to La Caleta, about 2 hours walking. If it is shopping with a difference that you want, then every Thursday & Saturday mornings you have the 'street markets' in Costa Adeje or one at Los Cristanos on a Sunday morning.
How to get there
A number of low cost airlines, such as Jet2, Monarch, Ryanair & Aer Lingus, fly direct to Tenerife (Sur) South, as do a number of the well-known charter companies.
Just over 10 minutes by car (mostly motorway), private car transfers are available if required, approx 25 euros each way, payable to the driver.

There are various lifts in the Aparthotel, but access to the apartment still requires a small number of steps.
