About the home

Lovely apartment in Laguna Park II resort near Playa de las Americas and Playa Fanabe. The apartment is only 10 minutes walk from the seafront, shops and restaurants. The complex includes swimming pool, bar, restaurant, supermarket, taxi service, free entertainment, tennis, football...

The apartment contains a kitchenette, TV and DVD player and a balcony to have dinner alfresco. It also has a sofa bed that converts into two single beds for two children or two adults.

The complex has internet access and self-service laundry service. We can only do rentals of one month or longer

The Tenerife region

The largest of the seven Canary Islands, Tenerife is known internationally as the "Island of Eternal Spring" (Isla de la Eterna Primavera). The island, being on a latitude of the Sahara Desert, enjoys a warm, all year round climate with an average of 22° - 24°C in the winter and 26° - 28°C in the summer and sunshine all year round. On Tenerife, there are no periods, even during the winter months, of cold, but neither are there periods during the summer of unbearable heat as there are in some of the islands of the Mediterranean.

Off the beaten track one can expect to find deserted, volcanic beaches of great beauty, leafy jungle-like forests with millions of years of life or cobbled streets lined with old colonial houses. Getting to these places is easy, in Tenerife distances are short and moving around the island, by car or bus is simple. Your discovery may be a local family restaurant, also called a "guachinche" or one of many cafés where locals have their morning "barraquito" (coffee with normal and condensed milk and a drop of liqueur).

Tenerife has something for everyone, plenty of activities such as diving, whale and dolphin watching, surfing, windsurfing, golfing, horse and camel riding, hiking, mounting biking, countless excursions and excellent international and local cuisine. Las Americas is ideally situated for water sports, animal parks, fun parks, water parks, shopping, walking, relaxing on one of the many sandy beaches. -Golf – If you have a car there are two courses within ten minutes drive and a further three elsewhere on the island. I believe that Golf Adeje is the best and also the least expensive.
-Diving- The island and its surrounding waters offer some of the most popular dive sites in the world. www.buceotenerife.com
-Fishing- Big game fishing is also popular along the West Coast – boats may be hired and trips organised from Los Gigantes, Playa San Juan and Los Cristianos.
-Windsurfing- El Medano on the South coast provides the best conditions for windsurfing on the Island and is considered to be one of the world’s top ten venues for the sport. Equipment may be hired from the Playa Sur Tenerife Hotel.
-Hang gliding- Courses are available for beginners and the more experienced.
-Whale and Dolphin watching- There’s no shortage of companies on the South and West coasts offering whale and dolphin watching trips. For the more adventurous, some will arrange for you to swim from the boat and snorkel.
-Loro Parque is another wildlife park but is supposed to have some of the best animal shows in the world. A little further out – it is located near Puerto de la Cruz but apparently well worth the trip. http://www.loroparque.com/
-Parque Las Aguilas – A Jungle Park that offers all the usual attractions of a wildlife park and can be found just outside Los Cristianos. The bird show is fantastic.
-Horse and Camel rides- There are a number of centres offering Horse, Camel and Donkey rides at reasonable prices catering for all ages. Golf- There are five championship golf courses all within 20 minutes drive. Green fees range from €50 to €110 for 18 holes dependent on time and season.
-La Gomera- Fred Olsen ferries travel daily to the gorgeous island of La Gomera.

The Playa de Las Americas / Torviscas area

This beautiful apartment is situated in the Torviscas area of Costa Adeje. The beach is a 15 min walk and a couple more to the marina, Puerto Colon. It is ideally situated for shopping in the San Eugenio Centre and if you are a bargain hunter, the market is on twice weekly and is about a 10 min walk. Costa Adeje is the ideal location for all types of holidaymaker. You can laze on the long sandy beaches such as Fanabe or Las Americas, shop until you drop or party all night long. It is unique, for if you prefer a quieter time there are many different areas to visit and relax in, but will also cater for those who wish a livelier holiday.

Laguna Park II is a pleasant resort far enough out of Las Americas to be peaceful but close enough to it to enjoy its excitement and vibrancy if you wish to experience it. The resort has now matured enough for it to have its own community including shop, restaurant and daily entertainment. Within 10 to 15min walk is the shopping centre Plaza Bahia del Duque with a large supermarket Mercadona, a good American style restaurant and many cafes, shops, etc…The Aqualand is only 5 minute walk from the complex and behind the park there is a street with a selection of restaurants including quite a good pizza place.

If you are happy to explore a little further on foot there are many more shops the other side of the TF1. If you walk down the hill and over the bridge you will come to a traffic Island outside Parque Royale apartments – go straight on heading towards Las Americas and the streets are lined with small shops selling electrical goods and clothes. We love the little surfing hut in Playa de Las Americas where you can either, have a beer while watching the sunset or take a surfing lesson. For more upmarket shopping turn right and head towards Fanabe with its 5* hotels, fine shops and boutiques.
