The Tenerife region
There is plenty to do in Tenerife in all seasons as all leisure activities can be enjoyed 365 days a year due to its sunny climate & its very pleasant temperatures.
Sporting facilities close by are fishing, scuba diving, whale & dolphin watching, sailing, surfing, waterskiing, windsurfing, swimming, paragliding, tennis, roller blading, jogging, walking & golfing.
The aquapark, adventure parks / zoo are within easy access.
There are plenty of golf courses to choose from, most of which are within a short taxi drive except for 2 that are up in the north of the island which are approx. one hours drive away. There's also another course on the island of La Gomera where you can catch a ferry to daily from Los Christianos (approx. half an hour crossing)
Playa de Las Americas / Parque Santiago 3 area
Los Christianos is a popular fishing port which has lots of shops, restaurants & local markets.
Frequent ferries go over from there to the neighbouring island of "La Gomera".
Other day trips to various places can be arranged from the port.
How to get there
Fly to Tenerife Sur Reina Sofia airport - Parque Santiago III is approx 15 kms from the airport which is around a 20mins taxi drive - approx. €20. There are plenty of taxis at the airport. Some of the available flights are Monarch (daily), Thomson Flights & First Choice amongst many from the UK. Aer Lingus (Tues, Sat) from Dublin, Ireland. From the northern airport, which is less used, is an approximate 1hr journey to Parque Santiago III. Plenty of car hires are available, C.I.cars (Canary Island Cars) & Niza car hire are just 2 of them. Tip - if you are going to hire a car do it from the airport as it saves the taxi fare there & back from the Villa. There are always local taxis available around the Parque Santiago III & IV complexes that are reasonably priced.

Further details indoors: THE VILLA comprises of 4 bedrooms and 3 large shower rooms (2 of which are en-suite). Downstairs there is a large open plan lounge / dining area that leads out through patio doors onto sun terraces which are surrounded by the garden - ideal for dining "al fresco" . The interior of this Villa is finished to a very high standard & includes leather sofas, modern furnishings, TV & DVD player with ceiling fans throughout. There is a good-sized, modern & very well equipped kitchen with a USA fridge/freezer + icemaker, dishwasher, microwave, hob & oven & a separate utility room with washing machine & tumble dryer. Also downstairs there is a large bedroom en-suite with twin beds which also leads through patio doors to another covered veranda & the garden beyond. Upstairs are the rest of the bedrooms - 1st with twin beds together & a very large balcony (ideal for watching the world go by or getting a peaceful 5 minutes away from the family !) , another being a twin bedded room with a balcony & an en-suite & the 3rd room having twin beds. The 3rd good-sized shower room is also situated upstairs. The walled garden is very secure for roaming kiddies and has a large retractable canopy to provide adaquate shade over some of the area. There are sunbeds & mattresses provided in the garden & under the pergola is a large outdoor table & chairs for dining out or sipping those pre-dinner cocktails! The balconies & verandas are where we ask any smokers to indulge as we do encourage a non-smoking policy inside the actual Villa.
Further details outdoors: PARQUE SANTIAGO 3 is situated on the sea front & our Villa is right at the front of the complex overlooking the palm tree lined walkway & the soft, white sandy beach - which is kept to a very high standard. Sunbeds, sunshades & various watersports are all available to hire on the beach & the sea is clean & safe with a gradual slope into it. The pedestrian promenade takes you for a lovely stroll in both directions along the coastline either to Los Christianos (a pleasant 10mins. or so) or to Las Americas & beyond. In both directions there is plenty to see & enough "watering holes" if required !!! The walkway in the evening is very peaceful.
The extremely attractive complex has beautifully landscaped tropical gardens & is well known for its splendid large sea water pools (1 being heated) with its well maintained sun terraces -- all of which provide a tranquil & romantic setting in the evening. There are plenty of amenities here: numerous shops (many duty free), restaurants of all kinds (with their own home-made ice-cream), bars, supermarket (with its own bakery), laundry & dry cleaners, hairdressers to name but a few. Also there is a kiddies play area, paddling pool & for the slightly older - pool tables & mini golf. The popular pool restaurant does a very good, inexpensive breakfast & lunch - converting well into a lovely, appealing restaurant in the evening. The whole complex & its surrounding areas at night are peaceful, quiet & safe. If you fancy a bit of pampering "The Mare Nostrum Resort" next door has a spa & treatment facilities you can book into. At the reception on Parque Santiago III there is a full business centre service available - internet, email & fax facilities.
As many regular visitors will know, once you have been to Parque Santiago 3 or 4, few other complexes can match its quality, location & value.
Conditions
Changeover day is flexable but Friday to friday is preferred. Day of departure to vacate by 10am. Day of arrival 16.00hrs but bags can be dropped off. Linen & bathroom towels are provided but are to be kept in the Villa. Beach towels are also available, although we do ask you to please wash/dry them at the end of your stay if they are used. This facility is there to save you bringing them with you. We have a weekly linen / cleaning service. If you require more it can be arranged privately with our management team with prior notice.
