About the home

'Las Floritas' is a family complex in an enviable location between the resorts of Las Americas and Los Cristianos. The complex is central, but peaceful. Our apartment is situated in an excellent area of the complex, not on the block facing the road and it should not be confused with commercially rented units. The complex has an attractive pool which runs through the complex - there are sun beds, a pool/snack bar, pool tables, mini-market, internet access and a reception area. There is 24 hour security and a lifeguard round the pool during the day. It is a ten minute walk to the lively centre of Playa de Las Americas, but there are bars, restaurants, shops etc. outside the complex. The beaches of both resorts are also a ten minute walk away. Free parking opposite. CAR HIRE CAN BE ARRANGED AT A COST OF 90 EUROS PW but not neccessary

The kitchen has an array of units with granite worktops. It also has a full oven with 4 ring ceramic hobs with an extractor fan, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and pots pans etc. The appartment also provides a 4 sandwich toastie maker, iron and ironing board, washing machine on the back balcony. The apartment itself is In an ideal position in the centre of the complex. The front bedroom has a king size bed with bedside tables, a set of drawers and an alarm clock, plus a tripple wardrobe which houses the safe and a set of drawers,there is also a fold up bed in this room, there is a patio door leading onto the front balcony, the 2nd bedroom has 3 single beds and a double wardrobe, also a set of drawers and a bed side table.
The bathroom has a corner shower, with toilet, sink with mirror and lighting over it, also bidet and shelving for your toiletries. The spacious living room has a large wall unit with books, DVDs, 32 inch flat screen tv, with 5 English channels and 1 movie channel, dvd player and stereo. There is a large leather corner sofa with seating for 7 people with another patio door leading onto the front balcony, which houses a marble effect patio table with Rattan chairs.

Patio doors that lead from either the bedroom or the living room lead straight on to the sunny balcony, which over looks the pool and houses 2 sun canopies and a patio table and 6 chairs, also running the length of the apartment at the back is another small balcony where you can catch the last of the sun, the apartment also provides two airers.

The Tenerife region

Tenerife enjoys glorious sunshine all year round with the average temperature been 25c. There is the new Siam park that opened its doors at the end of this summer it is said to be the biggest water park in Europe, it is out of this world. There is a market in Los Cristiano's every Sunday, also near to the market is a Iceland supermarket so anything you cant get in the other supermarkets be sure you can get it in there. You can go out to eat and there is every type of restaurant imaginable, from Chinese to Indian, Italian, Mexican, Americana oh and my favourite the Greek corner which is a short walk away but the food is absolutely lovely and Raymond 1 is the best for paella which is between Las America's and Los Cristiano's. I Personally like Las Vistas beach the sand isn't so dark. The whales and dolphin trip is a must we saw absolutely loads.

The Playa de Las Americas / Central Playa de Las Americas area

A whole host of excursions are available and within 10 minutes walk you are on the beach where you can lounge in the sun or take part in numerous water sports. If you just want to walk along the beach front you can head for Los Cristiano's which was once a old fishing port. here you can take trips to see the whales and dolphins or you can charter your own boat and cruise at your leisure.. for the more adventurous, try a hike up Mount Teide or take the cable car up to the summit, this old volcano, which has been dormant for many hundred of years, is a huge attraction for all visitors to the island and on a clear day you can see right across the island. other activities in the area include cycling, diving, snorkeling, fishing, golf, sailing, surfing, swimming, walking, water skiing and wind surfing

“Brillant” We are just back from Tracy and Richards apartment it is our second year staying here.We loved every minute of it.The apartment has everything you need to make your holiday complete. Thank you Tracy and Richard for a great holiday.

“fatastic” we staid aug 2012 for two weeks at tracey and ricahrds apt. We just love tenerife,playa de las americas and las floritas. The apt was well equiped with everything you would need for self catering. It was clean, tidy . The double balcony was great for the evenings and we used this all the time.Air conditioning in each bedroom came in handy as it was in the 30s most days. Wasnt too much noise from the younger people there,occasional swimming in the pool in the early hours of the morning but hay they are young and on holiday too. as for las floritas, its basic but got everything you need and a great swimming pool. near to shops, pubs etc. what more do you want. Would we got to the apt again.HELL YES

“Home from Home!!” Me and my sister came to Tenerife to spend New Years with friends who live and work here, so we decided to book a private apartment (holiday lettings 58551) We've been to the Reef numerous times and have to admit we've stayed at some awful places, we kind of knew about Las Floritas as a few friends actually lived there and said it was nice, so we decided to book up. I was quite surprised how nice the apartment was!! It felt like we was just at home, it was cosy, and all the facilities, even a toastie maker etc. location was brill as you had the nightlife only 10mins away but at the same time far enough so you wouldnt hear all the noise, and funnily enough our friends who worked there were our neighbours!! Like i said before I've been to Tenerife for about 3 years now and i've been to some nice places and really crap ones but i've got to admit, it has probably been one of the best, if not the best apartment we've stayed at, so thank you for making our time in Tenerife enjoyable Tracy!!!

“Fantastic Private Apartment” We stayed in Tracy's apartment (holiday lettings no. 58551) in November. This really is a home from home, so comfortable with all the facilities you have at home. Excellent location with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars etc. nearby if you didn't want to go into the centre of Las Americas. Also only a 10/15 min walk to Los Cristianos. Las Floritas complex was very clean and the staff were friendly. I would definitely stay here again - thanks Tracy.

“Families beware” The privately owned apartment (holiday lettings 58551) could not be faulted. It was very well appointed, clean and had all home comforts. It was in a brilliant position in the resort. Ideal for access to all amenities. But beware; the complex does suffer from an identity problem. Privately owned apartments are generally filled by families whereas the complex management allow young 18-30 type groups to fill the rest. This does not mix well. It's unfair for both groups. We struggled to sleep for the whole of our stay, except one night which we think was changeover day. The Management had signs up to say no noise after 10pm, no music after 12pm, no glass around the pool, no swimming fully clothed, no naked bodies etc. It wasn't worth the paper it was written on. During our stay we observed • Items thrown from one balcony to another and down to the pool (to include clothes dryers), • Between 7 & 8 in the morning youths staggering around the pool area waving glass bottles of vodka and beer on their return from a night out. • Music starting up at 2.00 in the morning • Naked youths on balconies waving 'their bits' at others • All night long parties with no let up The lone security guard was fighting a losing battle and inevitably retreated to his desk to allow the evening's festivities to continue. I would suggest light sleepers should consider elsewhere.
