Home description

A private complex with excellent facilities which is ideal for couples or families. Large comfortable accommodation. One of our most popular properties. Accommodation available is 1 bedroom sleeps 4. It is well situated in the popular area of Playa de las Americas called Torviscus about 10 minutes walk to the sea.

This is an ideal base for couples and families. It features no less than six swimming pools, four restaurants, a snack bar, a playground and a large reception area. The linked villa is extremely well equipped and are ideal for families as they can accommodate either four. If you are looking for plenty of activities and facilities then the Island Village will suit you very well indeed. We have many returning clients every year.

The Tenerife region

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and touristically Tenerife is split into two, with a lush more tropical northern part with Puerto de la Cruz being the major tourist centre and the sunnier south which is where all our holidays in Tenerife are located.

Playa de las Americas has everything you could need for superb holidays in Tenerife including several beaches of black or gold sand, a water park and plenty of bars, restaurants and night clubs. Torviscus is the newer area with a pleasant harbour area. Los Cristianos is also a great base when choosing a holiday in Tenerife with its long curving beach and a harbour area scattered with bars and restaurants. Its town centre is pedestrianised and it is only minutes from its busier neighbour Playa de las Americas.

For those seeking quieter holidays in Tenerife Callao Salvaje has a relaxed atmosphere and is situated about 15 minutes ride from Playa de las Americas and is an ideal base for touring the island and retreating back to afterwards.

Puerto De Santiago has a fishing village charm and is dwarfed by the impressive backdrop of the high cliffs at Los Gigantes. This up market resort has some shops and bars and is visited by those wanting a more relaxed and peaceful holiday in Tenerife.

Playa de Las Americas / Torviscas area

Torviscus is a nice area of Playa de Las Americas. It has a nice promenade and many shops and bars.
The Island Village is on a incline about 10 minutes walk from the front.

Interesting visits can be made to the high mountains in central Tenerife and to many coastal villages nearby.

The Island Village Club is near the Water park on a slope in a quieter area of Playa De Las Americas. From here the walk to the sea front is about 15 minutes. Some bars and restaurants are close by but there are many more nearer the sea front. We do not recommend this property to those with walking difficulties or pushing prams due to the slope and steps.

Island Village is built on plenty of land. It comprises of pleasant alleys lined with apartments. It is not high rise but instead gives a feel of space and relaxation. The complex is secure and the feeling is that of a quality
holiday village.

This is a large complex with attractive grounds built on a slight slope. It has nice gardens and a playground. From the complex are pleasant views towards the sea. It is on a slope so clients with walking difficulties may find this a little difficult.

"I stayed at the Island Village in November and before that 3 years ago. To be fair It is not a plush complex but an older and well established one built on plenty of land. I like the lanes and pathways and the feeling of space. It is not high rise and more like a nice holiday village than a new high rise block.
The main swimming pool is excellent and the adjoining club house and restaurant serves good value meals.
During our stay the staff organised several themed evenings which were good fun.
The apartments ( or villas as they call them ) are clean and comfortable. Fixtures and fittings are very adequate Overall I give it 4 stars for comfort and value and the feeling of being in a nice safe and secure environment."

"Really enjoyed our stay. large apartments and we had a splash pool almost outside. The main pool is excellent also. The walk down to the sea front and promenade takes about 15-20. Some bars are near by and so to is the water park.

My wife and my children just feel very safe and comfortable here and we shall return again soon."
