The Tenerife region
Tenerife offers a temperate climate all year round which makes the Canary islands the nearest place from the UK for a winter sun break. In fact the temperature remains constant for most of the year.
Ther is plenty to see and do with a full range of water sports, golf, horse riding, quad biking - in fact every activity you could wish.
Playa de Las Americas / San Eugenio area
Playa las Americas is the top holiday spot in Tenerife and offers everything for young and old alike. There's plenty to do and see. Garden City is a quiet well run complex ideal for families and couples - with everything you could want on your doorstep.
There are two sandy beaches within a 5 minute walk and a full range of water sports.
The San Eugenio Shopping Centre with its hypermarket and banks, pavements cafes and shops is only a 2 minute walk. There is als a weekly market within walking distance.
There is the well know Aqua Park just a short distance away (free bus).
Fishing, boat rides to watch the whales and dolphins from the nearby Puerto Colon Marina with it's cafes and bars.
The new Siam Park is within walking distance of Garden City and is claiming to be the largest waater park in Europe - but there is plenty of other things to do and see there. Go to www.siamparktenerife.com to check it out - it looks great.
There are 5 golf course all within a 20 minute drive.
If you want to venue further visit the famous Mount Teide - a cable car goes to the top. During the winter there is often snow on the mountain so you can play snowballs in the morning and come down and swim in the sea or pool in the afternoon.
For the Golf enthusiast there are a choice of 5 courses and all are within a 20 minute drive.

Further details indoors: Spacious Studio apartments offer twin beds and built in wardrobes. The living area has a sofa bed for the third person (some apartmetns only sleep 2 but still have chairs or a sofa to sit) There is Satellite Television which receives the full range of British programmes including BBC and ITV, Sky etc Through your French windows you have direct access to your own private balcony with patio table and chairs for breakfast in the sun.
The fully fitted kitchenette comes completely fitted with, hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board.
The fully tiled bathroom has a WC, bidet, wash hand basin and shower over the bath. There is a pull out clothes line on your own private balcony.
Two of my studios are poolside which is probably the most sought after position on the site.
Further details outdoors: Garden City boasts two swimming pools (1 heated) plus a children's pool and Kids Club. The Pool Bar offers meals, drinks and entertainment.
There are sunbeds around by the pool and unlike some complexes these are free of charge.
With your apartment you have your own private sunny balcony with patio table and chairs and pull out clothes line.
There is a self service launderette on he complex - so no need to pack lots of clothes.
There are pool tables at the pool bar and to the rear of the complex a games area with dart board, baseball net etc.

My arrival days are either a Tuesday or a Friday - occassionally other days can be accommodated at extra cost.
Prices are based on 2 sharing add £20 per week for a third person.
Janet and Denis look after the apartments for me and are easily contactable in case of any problems during your stay.
There is a safety deposit box available for hire at a small additional charge.
Linen is provided and changed at the end of each week for bookings of two weeks or more.
Conditions
I can reserve an apartment for a few days for guests to book flights and then I ask for either a £50 deposit or 10% for longer bookings and the balance 8 weeks before travel.
10% discount on bookings of 8 weeks or more.
