About the home

'Las Floritas' is a family complex in an enviable location between the resorts of Las Americas and Los Cristianos. The complex is central, but peaceful. Our apartment is situated in an excellent area of the complex, not on the block facing the road and it should not be confused with commercially rented units.

The complex has an attractive pool which winds around the complex in a river-effect with waterfalls and there are 2 larger areas for swimming. There are sun beds, a pool/snack bar, pool tables, minimarket, internet access and a reception area. There is 24 hour security and a lifeguard round the pool during the day. It is a ten minute walk to the lively centre of Playa de Las Americas, but there are bars, restaurants, shops etc. outside the complex. The beaches of both resorts are also a ten minute walk away. The apartment has ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom.

The living area is bright and airy with patio doors leading to the balcony overlooking the pool. There is a sofa bed which unfolds into a double bed and there is also a pull out single bed underneath which is suitable for a child. There is a coffee table, flat screen TV and DVD player and a CD player/radio/tape.

The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen which has recently been renovated. The kitchen has a full size oven/hob/grill, extractor fan, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and iron, pots and pans etc. There is a breakfast bar with seating for 4 people.

The bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobes with mirrors, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets with table lights. There is also a hairdryer. Bathrooms: The bathroom was refurbished in June 2010. The newly tiled room has a walk-in shower with shelving unit for toiletries, vanity unit with a large mirror, spotlights and shelf, sink and toilet.

Whilst there is no air conditioning there are ceiling fans in both the living area and bedroom.

Further details outdoors:
The patio doors leading from the living room open out onto the balcony which overlooks the pool. The balcony has the sun from early morning until mid-afternoon - there is a table and chairs and a retractable sun canopy. There is also an airer. Internet access is available in the reception area of the complex and there is also a public telephone.

Safe in the apartment - free of charge
Apartment available from 3pm on day of arrival and vacated by 11am on day of departure - however our cleaners are very flexible and wherever possible early occupation and late departures can often be arranged at no extra charge.
No smoking within the apartment but smoking is alowed on the balcony.

Collection from the airport can be arranged, (subject to availability) at a cost of 20 euros each way. We can provide you with contact details and the cost is paid direct to the driver.

The Tenerife region

Tenerife has a wide choice of holiday attractions and there is something for everyone. There are water parks, animal parks, watersports, boat trips to see whales and dolphins, submarine safaris, diving, golfing, cycling, go-karting, markets and great shopping areas. The island has varied and spectacular scenery from lush plantations and green forests to cinder deserts and a dormant volcano on Mount Teide in the centre of the island. Tenerife enjoys glorious sunshine all year round with average temperatures of 25 degrees and is one of the few places where you can swin and sunbathe all through the winter months. There is every type of restaurant imaginable, chinese, italian, mexican, indian, greek, spanish and of course, english!

The Playa de Las Americas / Central Playa de Las Americas area

This area of Tenerife caters for all whether your looking for a relaxing break or an action packed week. There are lots of beautiful areas to walk, an old fishing port in Los Cristianos and lots walkways and promenades near the sea. The new Siam Park which is the largest water park in europe is only a few minutes awaym from the complex on the free bus. There are beautiful beaches - the complex is a ten minute walk from either the beach of 'Las Vistas' in Los Cristianos or the beach of Playa de las America. Las Vistas is set on a very large bay - this is a gently shelving golden beach ideal for younger children. Las Americas beach is made of dark volcanic sand and has more bigger waves which the older children enjoy, although lifeguards are present. Both beaches have sunbeds and brollys for hire and watersports. Some of the areas in Tenerife are quite hilly with steep walks from the sea, but the area around Las Floritas is quite flat and suitable for everyone.

“Very good location, quiet and comfy, well equipped apartment for a relaxing holiday.” Stayed for 12 nights in the property which was a perfect hit for a winter holiday. Booking was smooth, with the hearty communication & help and friendly advice from the owners. The location of this complex is really nice -- and free parking outside is convenient too. The apartment is absolutely quiet, very comfortably set, neat and well maintained. Shared pool was a bit freezing -- but you know it's January... Weather was pleasing all the time, with lots of sunshine and amazing landscapes and pure nature. Absolutely no troubles/shortcomings encountered during our stay - hence enjoyed every minute of our holiday, so we'd definitely go there again and recommend the property for our friends.

“A very comfortable, convienient place to stay.” Stayed here for 9 nights & would have no hesitation staying again. Apartment has everything you need & it's in a good location in terms of getting the sun for most of the day. Would like to find something negative to say about it (in the interests of balance) but can't. Guest profile during our stay was mainly middle aged couples with a few younger ones but no kids so everything was quiet & peaceful all the time. Outside there's plenty on the doorstep - a good mix of places to eat, a few quieter bars & a couple of larger supermarkets (there's even a very reasonable British staffed Iceland store!). The beach / nightlife & main shopping area is about 5/10 min stroll but it's easy to flag a taxi down outside if you want to go further afield. All in all a very pleasant experience.
