Playa de Las Americas / Torviscas area
Torviscas is a pleasant resort far enough out of Las Americas to be peaceful but close enough to it to enjoy its excitement and vibrancy if you wish to experience it. The resort has matured enough for it to have its own community including shops, restaurants and bars, other resorts are just a short walk away.
The apartment is in an elevated position overlooking the Atlantic sea and the resort of Torviscas Adeje. It is an ideal choice for those looking for a relaxing holiday in a peaceful setting. A few metres from the complex are the Regency Club and the Neptuno.
The Neptuno has a reception offering money exchange, photo developing and other services. On site a self-service launderette will be found, as well as internet point, telephone, fax, pool bar, restaurant and an Old Tavern Bar. The on-site pool bar and the restaurant serve excellent meals with daily specials. For the active holiday maker there is badminton, table tennis and pool tables.
The Regency Club has a 24 hour reception, swimming pool, hot tub, gymnasium, squash court, Danish Pastry shop, restaurant, bar and daily and evening entertainment.
Adjacent is a small convenient supermarket but for a large shop the Netto supermarket is just a short walk away.
A short walk reveals a choice of excellent shops, bars and restaurants.
Walk past the Regency Club, turn left at the end of the road and then right directly adjacent to VILLAS CANARIAS apartments, this walkway will take you to a large supermarket, shops and restaurants, which are just 200 metres away. The main supermarket is called NETTO. Above the shops is an English run pub with a friendly atmosphere, good ale, snacks during the day and shows most of the televised English football games. In the same area there is a very good Thai restaurant called PHUKET, and a Chinese restaurant called PEKIN which is for sit in meals and take away. Take away pizza – head up to Calle Austurias and past the bar and supermarket, there is a fantastic take away pizza place further up the road on the left. Again up Calle Austurias there is a shop that hires DVDs, all you need is your passport and the address of where you are staying.
New modern shopping complex within a 5 min walk with a 7 screen cinima, large supermarket, restaurants, McDonnalds, perfume and clothes shops. For more upmarket shopping turn right and head towards Fanabe with its 5-star hotels, fine shops and boutiques. It is a pleasant walk from the beachfront at Torviscas to Fanabe with plenty of bars and restaurants on the way. There are many excursions available here are just a few examples: Parque Las Aguilas – A jungle park that offer all the usual attractions of a wildlife park and can be found just outside Los Cristianos Aqualand – A waterpark and dolphinarium just outside Torviscas Tenerife Pearl – An exhibition and workshop that can turn a pearl of your choice into a beautiful piece of jewellery.
