The Canary Islands region
Tenerife enjoys year round sunshine, which means you can be sunbathing in January, Golfing in February and at any time of the year enjoy an enhanced lifestyle that only a warm sunny climate can provide. No more heavy winter coats, scarves and gloves, only perhaps a light sweater for that stroll along the sea front after the beach barbecue in December. There is no ‘rainy season’ no ‘hurricane season’, just continuous ‘sunshine season’.
There is more to Tenerife than the bustling tourist areas. From the highest peak in Spain at over 12,000 feet - Mount Teide with its dramatic volcanic landscapes, lush tropical forests to the sandy beaches of the south. Elegant cities and quiet villages, Tenerife is full of natural contrasts and there are vast areas of stunning natural scenery.
Playa de las Americas
Activities: The choice is endless and to long to list, here are a few – Every type of water sport from scuba diving to wind surfing, big game fishing to angling, whale and dolphin watching, windsurfing to para-gliding, pedal boats to luxury yachts, all moored in the resort marinas.
On land, there are six Golf courses in the south alone, numerous tennis and bowling facilities, health spas, gymnasiums and fitness centres, football and sports stadiums, horse riding (and camel riding), water parks, zoological gardens, several protected national parks with spectacular scenery, wonderful walks from a gentle stroll on the beach or country trail to mountain trails for all levels of hikers.
From nights clubs - discothèques to tea dances, from Latin American (international festival) to classical music (Tenerife Symphony Orchestra), from archaeological sites, museums, ancient monuments to space exploration, (Tenerife Astronomical Observatory) world class opera house, cinemas, casinos, amateur dramatic societies, churches of all denominations, etc., etc., the list of activities are ongoing (or perhaps just relaxing on your terrace, glass of wine in hand, on a warm evening watching the glorious sunset is as active as you want to be?).

"Nice modern apartment"
Booking experience was excellent dealt with Lynda who was extremely helpful and efficient.
Tenerife royal gardens is in a fantastic location right in front of the beach and 2 mins walk from shops and restaurants there is also a very friendly Irish bar downstairs which serves great homecooked food and an Italian restaurant called Little Italy in which the food was always great. Having had a lot of bad meals in Tenerife I am speaking from experience this was our 3rd year in Tenerife and we would highly recommend it.
The apartment itself, location wise good for families with small children and those who like privacy as it is at the end of the row and not overlooked however this also means you don't have a view. If you have a buggy or mobility problems there is access but it Is not immediately obvious, enter the complex to the left of the Irish bar and go right, follow the path through a corridor which takes you out beside the pool, the apartment is in the corner at the far side of the pool it is a bit of a trek but much easier than tackling the stairs. Although the apartment is on the ground floor it is up about four steps which could be a problem if you have a toddler.
The pool was a good size and the kids pool was great for little ones although it was quite small and could be overcrowded during peak of summer. The lifeguard was an added bonus.
The apartment was lovely, very clean and reasonably well equipped just what you would expect for a holiday let. Sofa bed in living room was very comfortable and the fans meant the apartment was comfortable all day. The complex is accessed by a key code and there were also staff around all the time so it felt very safe and secure. There is no washing machine in the apartment although there is a self service laundrette in the complex.
There is free wifi in the complex however we were not able to connect whilst in the apartment a short walk to the pool and you can connect without a problem, a bit inconvenient but not the end of the world.
We heard the bins being collected one morning during our 10 night stay big deal could happen anywhere.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this apartment we love the central location and the homely feel of the complex, it is lacking a little pool bar but it doesn't detract from what was a really enjoyable stay.

I have just come back from a great time in Tenerife Royal Gardens. The apartment was nice and clean when we arrived.
For a holiday apartment this was ideal, the position was great, there was plenty of choice of bars and restaurants and variety of food, and only a stones throw away from the beach.
There was UK TV if we wanted to watch it in the apartment. The resort was kept nice and clean, the cleaners were very friendly towards us and changed the Sheets and Towels after a week of staying here.

"Totally under equipped"
It is obvious from the equipment supplied and the comments of the rental agent that this is an investment property with an owner who has never stayed in the property and does not understand what equipment should be supplied.
I have no desire to go into minute detail but to supply a top sheet that is in fact an EMPTY duvet cover, to supply pillows that appear home made shows a complete lack of experience. Basic items like scissors and a can opener missing from the cutlery drawer is amazing.
The letting agent did her best to correct some things but it appears the owner does not listen.
Not the fault of the owner is the location of the appartments C03 near the rubbish bins which in February 2011 were emptied very noisily between 2 and 3 in the morning.
The free wifi was not available in the appartments for the lack of a cheap signal extender.
We will never ever return to appartment C03
