About the home

Our first floor apartment is centrally located in the popular area of Torviscas within the exclusive family resort of Costa Adeje but only 2km from the livelier central resort of Playa de las Americas. Views to the mountains, coast and the island of La Gomera.

Located within the Mareverde complex, renters can enjoy the full complex facilities that include a number of cascading outdoor pools, laundrette and evening/poolside bar. The apartment unusually offers two balcony areas where you can sit and watch the world pass by. Ideal for couples that want the flexibility of self catering but being close to local shops, restaurants, attractions, beaches and transport links.

The 'Gran Sur' shopping complex and cinema is just a few minutes walk from the complex. Also, Tenerife's newest water park 'Siam Park' is closeby with free bus transfer easily accessed. All linen and towels (excluding beach towels) are provided.

Bus routes to all areas of Tenerife almost on the doorstep making a hire car unessential! Taxis are also available immediately outside the complex.

If you prefer to simply rest and relax at the apartment itself, as well as many European TV channels, British TV can now also be received.

The Tenerife region

The largest of Spain's Canary Islands is an old favourite when it comes to tourism, having seen visitors travelling to its shores for over 100 years. So Tenerife has an infrastructure that caters for every tourist, from young revellers, families or winter escapes. And what's more, because it is located a mere 100 kilometres off the coast of northern Africa it has great temperatures all year long. The average is a balmy 23 degrees - no wonder it is called the 'island of eternal spring'.

In busy resorts like Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas in the south and easily reached from our apartment you'll find activities for everyone. The further north you go the fewer tourists you'll see and the better the scenery becomes.

A rugged coast and black volcanic beaches lie comfortably next to an abundance of green banana plantations. Here you'll also come across quaint little towns like Garachico where you can sample some amazing Canarian cuisine. And if that doesn't tempt you, the north of the island also has a host of activities too, from hiking and rock-climbing to horse-riding, and even whale-watching. Of course, if that all sounds like too much hard work then you can always pop on some shades, grab a book and head to the beach - it's up to you!

The Playa de Las Americas / Torviscas area

The popular beaches of Playas Fanabe and Torviscas are less than a 10 minute walk. Other resorts can easily be reached by bus. Beach promenade makes for a pleasant coastal walk from resort to Los Christianos (approx 2 hours) via Playa de las Americas (approx 30-40 minutes).

Many budget airlines fly to Tenerife Sur airport including Ryanair, Monarch, Thomson & Easy Jet, approximately 4 hours from most of UK.

Transfer time from Tenerife Sur airport approx 15-20minutes!

Local personal transfer can be arranged via ourselves using our agent in Tenerife, taking you right to the apartment itself (usual cost approx €50 return)

“Great place.” Hi, My partner and i have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Mare Verde apartment. We were not disappointed!! The apartment has everything that you could need or want and is very, very clean. Its ideally situated and within easy walking to bars, restaurants and beaches. It does look onto a busy road but i loved sitting on the balcony and watching the world pass by whilst enjoying a G&T in the evening. Once you close the doors you don't hear any of the traffic at all....... The pools are being updated at the moment but there were still plenty that were ok to use. I'm sure we will return to Mare Verde and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to everybody!! Oh i forgot .... we booked to be collected by the agent with the keys, its a MUST! Nikki was fab, picked us up on time on arrival and collected us for the airport on time too.
