The Ibiza region
The longest stretch of beach on the island, it is dotted with Bars and Cafés offering a variety of scenes. The clear waters are very shallow near the shore, and the sea floor is almost entirely sand, making it ideal for ballgames. There is little shade so take coverups. Excellent views of Dalt Vila (the Ibiza Old Town).
Playa D'en Bossa / Bossa Sol area
When the south wind blows this beach is very popular with the island's windsurfers, who take advantage of the bump & jump conditions caused by the choppy swell. The far end of the beach (away from Ibiza Town) is calmer and quieter than the Ibiza end, less people and much less house music. For those of you looking for the definitive Ibiza beach party, wander along to Bora Bora Bar (about in the middle of d'en Bossa beach), where there are several bars playing house music and serving cold vodka-lemons in the sun!
