Home description
This Moorish style villa has been tastefully furnished to a very high standard and is fully equipped with all the comforts of home and many more. The luxurious hot tub on the downstairs sun terrace (as featured in Channel Four's Place in the Sun) has been an enormous hit with our previous guests. Other special features of the villa include two barbecues (gas and charcoal) and a spectacular roof sun terrace with magnificent views of Fuerteventura and Montana Roja- the perfect place to sunbathe and sit with a drink to watch the sun go down.
The pedestrianised complex nestles at the foot of Montana Roja & boasts peaceful gardens, children’s play area, tennis court (villa has tennis racquets for client's use) and an enormous communal swimming pool with showers.

The Lanzarote region
Lanzarote is the most easterly of the Canary Islands, lying in the Atlantic Ocean only some 100 km (60 miles) off the coast of Africa. It enjoys more hours of sunshine and lower rainfall than the other Islands, which justifies its reputation as one of Europe’s most popular year-round holiday destinations.
Lanzarote is a totally unique and exotic island with a spectacular volcanic landscape created by the volcanic activity of years past. It is an island of contrasts, from the vivid shapes of its lunar-like landscape to the traditional charm of its whitewashed towns and its glorious golden beaches.
Getting around the island is safe and easy either by car or organised coach trip, especially as the island is only 50kms long and the roads are good. There are numerous places of interest to visit, too many to mention, but a visit to the Fire Mountain, in the Timanfaya National Park, where you can see food cooked over the craters, is a must. So too is El Golfe - the green lagoon, which is a short drive from our villa. The village of El Golfe includes a selection of fish restaurants to sample. A full list of places to go is included in our information pack.
Playa Blanca / Montana Roja area
Playa Blanca is situated on the south coast of the island and has the best of the weather and sunshine, particularly in the southwest corner where our villa is situated.
Formerly a small fishing village (when we first visited it), Playa Blanca is now a flourishing resort, which has been tastefully developed yet still retains much of its original charm. It has a relaxed atmosphere compared to the more upbeat nightlife in Puerto del Carmen and is perfect for couples and families alike.
The front is populated with a variety of beaches, notably Playa Dorada, Playa Flamingo & Papagayo (reputed to be the best collection of beaches in Europe)
As well as its beautiful beaches, Playa Blanca also boasts a picturesque restaurant-lined promenade, lovely pedestrianised shopping area & harbour with regular ferry/hydrofoil travel to Fuerteventura. The stunning new marina complex (which reminds us of Naples in Florida) with its chic selection of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops makes a great alternative to the main seaside promenade.
The seaside promenade is the longest in Europe and the energetic can walk its length from the Lighthouse to the centre of Playa Blanca and then further still to the Marina and the beaches of Papagayo.
How to get there
-Fly to Arrecife - our villa is an easy 30 minute drive from the airport. -Flights available from ba.com, xl.com and flightline.co. uk. where special deals are often advertised. - We find it more economic to hire a car from the airport. Suggest www.carrentals.co.uk. - Taxis are readily available at the airport but prebooking a minibus taxi from Canaltravel on www.lanzaroteisland.com/english/minibus_service is a cheaper alternative, which avoids the taxi queues

"The villa was fantastic, the toy box a real bonus and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We would definitely use the villa again and would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends, especially those with small kids" "Thanks for letting us stay in your wonderful villa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found it peaceful and very relaxing. Our two daughters loved the hot tub and we all found it an ideal way to unwind after a day at the beach or out touring in the car. We really felt it was home from home with all the little touches you have included " " We all had a fantastic time at your villa. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, especially after a busy day at the pool/beach with the kids. I can't think of any improvements you could really make:it's such a lovely quiet villa and the roof terrace has such a nice view of the mountains and sea.
