About the home

Villa Riptide is by far one of the best available villas for your holiday, located in the elite province of Finisterre approximately 4 miles from the hustle and bustle of the town, although it is a pleasant walk along the coastal route into town (especially when you find some nice bars and restaurants along the way). For those of us who prefer a faster pace, there are also 2 bikes in the garage for the use of guests and additional bikes can be hired, including electric bikes.

The breeze from the Atlantic Ocean is extremely soothing and given that the villa has mosquito screens, you can enjoy the breeze at night in the knowledge that there will be no unwelcome visitors.

Make no mistake, if luxury and tranquillity is your criteria you would be hard pushed to better this outstanding villa.

Facilities

The grand entrance to the villa is via an arched doorway into an elegant marbled hallway. The lounge has a high ceiling and is complimented by Italian furniture consisting of an inside marbled dining table with six leather chairs, a three seater settee with two armchairs, and 42” wide screen television with sky package,DVD player and play station.

The separate kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, dryer, oven and hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The kitchen contains all the necessary equipment for a perfect holiday. The Solana houses the barbecue equipment and and there is also a clothes drying area here: There is also an extra fridge/freezer here for drinks and ice.

The master bedroom has unrestricted views out to the ocean, with double bed and ample wardrobe space. The other two bedrooms are twin rooms, again with ample wardrobe space. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans. All the bed linen is White Egyptian Cotton used in 5* Hotels and the towels are White Luxury Egyptian Cotton. In addition we provide White Cotton Waffle Bathrobes for all our guests: All this adds to the luxurious holiday our guests deserve.

There are two luxury bathrooms: The master bathroom has a full size bath and walk in shower and vanity sink. The second bathroom has a walk in shower, his and her vanity sinks and a bidet.

Further details outdoors:
The sheltered terrace has outdoor comfortable furnishings, offering three seater settee with two side chairs and circular table for outdoor eating. Sit and enjoy a glass of wine whilst admiring the crystal clear ocean, listening to the waves on the rocks, and watching the activity of the fishing vessels.

In addition there is a marble dining table for outside dining, which seats six, overlooking the sea, the swimming pool and barbecue area.

The villa has a hot tub and the pool is electrically heated. No need to pack beach towels, these are provided for use by the pool or on your visits to the beach.

Conditions

Given that there is no rail around the swimming pool, we would not recommend the villa for children under 5 years old, but should parents wish to bring children, a cot and high chair can be hired through the villa managers.

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote lying about 95 Km off the west coast of Africa and 1100 Km south west of the Spanish peninsula, is the most unusual of the Canarian Islands. This position ensures more days of sunshine and fewer days of rain than the other Canarian islands, and year round high temperatures.

In the summer, temperatures can be in the 90's, although cooling breezes make it much more pleasant and comfortable in comparison to the Mediterranean , whilst temperature rarely fall below 70 in the winter- ideal for sunbathing and sport during the day and pleasant in the evenings for relaxing over a leisurely meal or drink at one of the many bars and restaurants.

Visiting Lanzarote is an unforgettable experience. Apart from the natural beauty that the island offers, the artist Cesar Manrique has managed to combine art with conservation.There is much to see and do on the island but close to Playa Blanca is the 'Parc National de Timafaya' and 'El Golfo.'

The Playa Blanca area

Playa Blanca has a traffic free, paved promenade lined with good quality al fresco restaurants, boutiques and gift shops and at its centre a small, sandy family beach. This paved promenade stretches some 10 km from El Pechiguera lighthouse at the southern tip of Lanzarote, where the villa is situated, all the way to the fabulous new Rubicon Marina with its quality restaurants and designer shops surrounding floating jetties lined with yachts and motor cruisers of all shapes and sizes

From Playa Blanca you are also around 15 minutes ride from Fuerteventura which is the closest Islands to Lanzarote. This allows you to travel over and explore some of the best beaches in the world.

One of the newest areas in Playa Blanca is Marina Rubicon. This marina is now complete and is becoming the most popular harbour in Lanzarote. There are already many shops and restaurants around the harbour and is now home to many different excursions.

“Absolutely magnificent” My husband and I have just had the most glorious week at this villa. From the moment you walk into the place it has such a lovely outlook. It is really spotless and spacious and the view of the ocean on your doorstep is just breath taking. It has absolutely everything you require, the pool and hot hub were just brilliant. The villa is in such a beautiful location, blissfully peaceful and the veranda has so many different tables and chairs it is great to see different views at a different angle. Walking or riding the bikes provided was so easy to the shop or along the promenade. Had the best sleep with the sound of the crashing waves. Brilliant property !!!

“The setting and standard of accommodation is outstanding and is the best relaxation holiday ever!” I have stayed at the villa on two occasions with friends - the location is stunning and the sound of the sea and the sunsets are amazing - especially from the hot tub! The 10 minute walk along the front to the local amenities is breathtaking. Marina Rubicon is only a ten minute taxi journey away and has excellent restaurants. Its also worth a walk along the coastal pathway. All in all a fabulous place to go to relax. The standard of accommodation is exceptional.

“villa riptide is heaven with a sea view” to stay in villa riptide was the best holiday my wife freddie and i have ever had in all the years of coming to lanzarote we stayed in a different villa each year and some of them were very nice indeed but for the very first time we are returning to villa riptide that tells you just how much we both loved everything about it it was heaven in the sun and the sun sets were to die for as i said its heaven
