About the home

Casa de las Hermanas is located in a quiet picturesque location. With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, there's plenty of space for you and your family to relax and enjoy your holidays. You'll be close to Playa Flamingo and Playa Dorado beaches and of course Playa Blanca village with its array of restaurants and bars.

The south facing solar heated swimming pool provides the perfect place to cool down. The garden provides a shaded fresco dining area and a barbeque should you wish to grill your favourite foods. The first floor terrace affords fantastic panoramic sea and mountain views towards the islands of Los Lobos and Fuerteventura.

You will find the house furnished to ay high standard both inside and out. The villa consists of a spacious lounge, breakfast room and dining area furnished with comfortable leather sofas. For your added comfort, you will find a flat screen TV in the lounge, Sky TV, CD and DVD. There is also Broadband WIFI for wireless Internet access. (Please bring your own wireless enabled computer)

The kitchen is a country cottage styled kitchen with granite top, oven, separate grill, washing machine, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle.

The south facing gardens boast an array of mature Cacti and tropical plants. There is a solar heated swimming pool with integrated children's paddling pool (not overlooked), a barbeque, plenty of patio space for sunbathing plus shaded alfresco dining area.

There are two parking spaces behind electric iron gates.

We also provide a travel cot and high chair at no extra cost but you will need to bring your own cot linen.

The double aspect breakfast room and master bedroom both have French doors leading out the the gardens and pool.

The property consists of three double beds, 1 bunk bed, 1 single bed, 1 sofabed and a cot.

The property sleeps 9, however it would not be comfortable for 9 adults, therefore the maximum number is 8 adults, or 8 adults and 1 child.

A non-refundable 50% deposit secures your holiday booking with the balance being due 8 weeks prior to departure. Any booking cancelled within 56 days of departure or less is non refundable. We advise that all of our guests take out holiday insurance. The owner will not accept liability for any damage or loss of belongs, or personal injury.

Check out time is 10am. Check in time 3pm. Peak season Thursday changeover only (June, July and August),

The Lanzarote region

Just off the coast of Africa, Lanzarote enjoys year round sunshine and its wide sandy beaches make the island a popular villa holiday destination. The striking volcanic craters and lava fields provide an unforgettable landscape. The coastline is rich with low-rise, friendly resorts offering a variety of leisure activities and holiday entertainment, including safaris, golf, water sports sandy beaches and tax-free shopping.

The Playa Blanca / Montana Roja area

Playa Blanca, the most southerly resort in Lanzarote. It is very popular with families with young children. The sandy beaches are perfect for building castles and paddling at the water’s edge. Couples looking for a place to relax together will find many secluded spots in the area.

The Sport Marina Rubicon, one kilometre from the centre of Playa Blanca, attracts many visitors. The marina has berths for several hundred pleasure boats and provides the opportunity for many leisure activities including diving, jet skiing and sailing. The promenade, El Paseo, has some fine restaurants, specialist shops, boutiques and an art gallery. There is also a salt water swimming pool.

The beautiful secluded Papagayo beach lies on the other side of the marina and can be reached via a dusty road or by water taxi.

Ferries from Playa Blanca make regular trips to Fuerteventura which is only thirty minutes away.

Lanzarote is an island of outstanding natural beauty with wild extremes of landscape. An excursion to the National Park of Timanfaya with its huge volcanic craters and stark lunar landscape is unmissable. On the journey from the airport you will see alien barren landscape and be amazed by the huge craters and lava formations. At the restaurant in the National Park your food can be cooked on a grill using heat from within the volcano. A contrast to Timanfaya is the fertile Valley of a Thousand Palms best seen when viewed from the hills.

Another very popular attraction are Los Verdes caves in the north of the island, with their massive stalactites and stalagmites, underground lake and illuminated caverns.

There are many low cost airlines that fly to Arrecife airport in Lanzarote. The best website to find flights is www.skyscanner.net. It lets you pick source and destination airports and intended travel dates, then searches all possible routes for the prices and presents the options in price order.

We have very good relations with local car hire companies that can give you an extremely competitive rate for the duration of your stay.

“Clean, well stocked and very comfortable villa” We stayed in Casa de las Hermanas in July for 2 weeks. We found the Villa to be very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. There were 10 of us all together (5 adults and 5 children) and we never ran out of plates or glasses etc. The bedding was clean and everything appeared new or in good condition. The space was fantastic and the villa well set out. The pool was also very clean and cleaned throughout our stay. Although the villa is definately within walking distance of the town (15 - 20 mins) and comfortable to do so. Playa Blanca itself is widespread and I would recommend either hiring a car or using the local taxi company (3 euros to the town 5 euros to Marina Rubicon). There is a small shop 2 minutes walk with some limited supplies. There are plenty of very good restuarants in and around the main town area and there were plenty of supermarkets which made self catering both cheap and very easy. The service we received from both the owner prior to our trip and from the management team while we were there was excellent and we never felt that any question or request was ignored. I would definately recommend this villa and hope to return in the future.

We stayed at the villa in May 2009 and had a fantastic holiday. My husband and I brought our three children aged 16, 12 and 5. There was plenty to occupy them. One of the most relaxing holidays we're ever had. Would definitely stay here again.

I wanted to stay somewhere that was close to things to do, but not overcrowded by tourists. Playa Blanca was PERFECT! The villa is absolutely gorgoeus. The pool makes you feel like you are in paradise. The garden and pool have sun all day long. We would return in a heartbeat to this "Island Oasis."

We stayed at Casa de las Hermanas in May and had a thouroughly relaxing time. The area is very quiet, the perfect place for a well earned family holiday. We rented a car so we could do our own excursions. My favourite place was a seafood restaurant in El Golfo "Restaurante El Golfo" (well worth a visit). The kids had enough space to run around and were happy playing in the pool all day. We'll be back again soon!

February 2011: This was my first stay at Casa de las Hermanas since the owner Hayley has made the improvements to her villa. It was a lovely surprise to find the newly refurbished pool, much larger than I expected.

An added bonus was the toddlers paddling pool, which gave me peace of mind spending time outside with our grandchild. The inside of the villa is spacious and very clean, with 3 impressive double bedrooms, especially the upstairs bedroom with the terrace and huge dressing area. The master bedroom opens on to the pool area. The fourth bedroom which is a twin room is deal for children.

The alfresco eating area is superb and we spent many evenings sitting outside enjoying the weather. I did hire a car for part of my stay, but if one chooses not to, there is a reliable taxi service available and the walk into Playa Blanca is about 20 minutes. Hayley went out of her way to assist us with transport, restaurant telephone numbers, taxi numbers etc and the welcome pack she organised for us was much appreciated. It gave me peace of mind to know that she employs a reliable management company to assist her guests with anything they may require. This lovely villa is suitable for people and families of all ages. I look forward to visiting Casa de las Hermanas in the near future.
