The Lanzarote region
Lanzarote is the most easterly of the seven major Canary Islands and lies in the Atlantic Ocean only some 100 km (60 miles) from the coast of Africa and 1,000 km (600 miles) from the Iberian Peninsula. Playa Blanca / Marina Rubicon area
Playa Blanca originally a small fishing village is fast becoming one of the island's finest tourist areas. Basking in all year round warm sunshine with clear blue seas, Playa Blanca is a holidaymaker's paradise. There are superb views of the mountains and the islands of Lobos and Fuerteventura across the water. If it's lazy days in the sun you are looking for, this is the ideal place. Playa Blanca's beaches are small but perfectly formed and benefit from excellent nearby amenities such as the shops, bars and restaurants.
Playa Blanca is fantastic for families who want to spend the day at the beach and their nights enjoying fine food at one of many international restaurants set on the golden sand sea front.
From the harbour at Playa Blanca, ferries cross several times a day to Fuerteventura. It is possible to go to the island as a foot passenger or with a car and the 45-minute crossing is good fun in itself as you can sit on the open-air terrace and enjoy the ocean. One of the most beautiful beaches on the island (and some people say in all of Spain) is in close proximity to Playa Blanca. Papagayo beach is a must-see place for anyone staying in Playa Blanca.
MARINA RUBICON: The recently constructed Marina Rubicon is situated a short distance from Playa Blanca and has been beautifully designed on the theme of a village. Surrounding the marina are designer shops, bars and restaurants where you can sit and watch the luxury yachts, cruisers and other boats coming and going or feed the fish that live in the waters.
There are also tennis and paddle courts, or you can sample the wide variety of sea excursions ranging from diving, sailing, canoeing, catamaran and the tourist submarine.
On certain evenings there is various types of live music (look out for advertisements locally) and on Wednesday and Saturday mornings there is a small market at the Marina Rubicon.

All 3 bedrooms are en suite and have patio doors that lead to the pool/garden area. The main bedroom has a king size bed and the other two bedrooms both have twin beds.
It boasts a Games Room with Playstation and games, plus weight training gear for those who have energy to burn! 3 bicycles, one with baby seat attached, are provided however, you will need to bring your own safety helmets as these are not provided.
Further details outdoors: Outside you will find the electrically heated 8m x 4m pool surrounded by decking and is very private and, of course, the luxurious hot tub.
There is a shaded alfresco dining where you can sit a relax waiting for the man of the house to show off his fire starting skills on the BBQ.
This area is fully enclosed by a wall and a landscaped garden.
