About the home

Fabulous two bedroom private villa with its own 6x3 mtrs electrically heated pool. Situated in exclusive Las Coloradas.

The spacious open plan living area has patio doors to both aspects of the terrace and a modern fully-fitted kitchen, dining table and chairs.There is a bathroom with shower over the bath, mable top sink and large spot-lit mirror. The main bedroom has double bed, bedside tables, clock radio, bedside lamp, dressing table and mirror, and wardrobe.The second bedroom has two single beds, wardrobe, bedside table and lamp. There is a fold up bed for a fifth person.

In the living room, there is a comfy 3 seater sofa, with two armchairs, 32ins TV, with afew english channels, 2 movie channels, and radio 1,2,3,4. A Blu-Ray player with a selection of films, and CDs, an X-Box (please bring your own games), plenty of good books, and a selection of family games. A real 'home from home'.

We have a utility area with washing machine and clothes line. An ironing board with iron and a hairdryer. There is a security safe. A cot & highchair are available at no extra charge.

The villa should be vacated by 10.00am, and check-in is between 2-3pm, but we can be flexible.

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote is the most easterly island of the Canaries, and is located approx 40 miles from the coast of Africa. Lanzarote basks in almost constant sunshine, and the temperature hovers at about 20c all winter. The many beaches around the island range from volanic rock/sand in the North, to the white sandy bays of Papagayo in Playa Blanca, which is reported as the best beach on the Island. Lanzarote is the cleanest of all the islands and the least built up. All of the buildings are painted white, with blue, green or brown windows and doors, giving it a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, which local architect, Cesar Manrique wanted. There are many things to do and see in Lazarote, if you can be pulled away from the wonderful beaches. Papagayo beach is a crescent of white sand sheltered by cliffs in a nature reserve on the southern tip of the Island, with views across the sea to Fuerteventura.

The Playa Blanca / Las Coloradas area

Las Coloradas is a fairly new and exclusive area in the sunny south of Lanzarote, surrounded by residential complexes together with a couple of 5 star hotels, but still maintaining a quiet and relaxed position.
The wonderful Papagyo Beach is a 15 min walk away from the villa, which is our favourite! ( A certain part of this beach, you won't need to worry about a swimsuit)!
Las Coloradas benefits from some good restaurants, cafe/sports bar, shops and a supermarket, and a child's play area,all which are a 2mins walk away. The promenade walk(about 4km long) extends from Las Coloradas to the harbour, with many wonderful restaurants, bars and shops.
The Marina Rubicon is about 20 mins walk away and is a perfect stop for a glass of wine(or two)! where you can admire the yachts and people watch. There are exclusive shops here with trendy restaurants, it has a warm & friendly atmosphere and the place to be seen. Here, you will find the Gran Melia Volcan Hotel, which is worth a visit, as it looks just like a volcano.There is a new dive school for you to explore the marine life of Lanzarote. And if you fancy your hand at bowling, there is a new shopping/bowling centre.. A little bit further along you will come to Dorada beach, which is good for water-sports. Keep walking along the 'prom' will bring you into Playa Blanca with many more shops and restaurants.

Lee-Aug'10.Stayed in this lovely villa for 2 weeks until 26/08/10, it was clean and tidy when we arrived and its set in a lovely location with great views.Its basically a home from home villa and the pool is a great bonus! Shopping centre is basic but adequate and there is also a playground over the road which is floodlit at night.Plenty of space for 4 people and the beds are comfortable, the shutters are an excellent idea for security at night and while you are out, cant really find fault with this villa and thanks for letting us stay for our holiday!!!

we had a great time in Lanzarote! The instructions about getting from the airport to the villa were excellent. The villa itself was beautifully clean and well-stocked for a fully self-catering holiday. Yvonne & Roy were extremely helpful and the 'welcome pack' allowed us to have a cup of tea before venturing out for the shopping! The supermarket across the road was fantastic, good quality produce and we loved getting hot bread for breakfast! I will certainly leave a very positive review 'on-line'.
