Stunning South West facing 3 bed 3 bath Duplex Villa with large pool & amazing uninterrupted views to Playa Blanca Bay to the West and Fuerteventura to the South. The secluded, sheltered inner Courtyard Garden (accessed from the lounge) is ideal for BBQ's, sunbathing or just relaxing. It is just a 5 minute walk from the Villa to the exclusive Rubicon Marina with its many yachts and boats.
There are excellent but inexpensive restaurants here as well as bars, tapas bars. a jazz club, shops and supermarkets. There is also a bowling alley and a shopping mall just set back from the Marina.
The Villa is situated near to the famous Papagayo Beach reserve which is a 20 minute walk from the Villa. Walking in the opposite direction along the Coastal path past the Marina is Playa Dorada which is the nearest beach and just a 10 minute stroll. There are, however smaller coves just in front of the Villa off the coastal path. The lively town of Playa Blanca is a further 10 minute walk.
Playa Dorada is the nearest beach to the Marina and you will find this to be quite a lively place with activities for children and there are 2 discos/night clubs which open from around 11am.

Further details indoors: The Villa has 3 spacious bedrooms with 2 sets of twin beds and a master bedroom with a Queen size bed. There are 2 en suites and a family bathroom. Off the master bedroom is a spacious balcony where the views over the sea and down to Playa Blanca and over to the"Red Mountain" have to be seen to be believed. They are outstanding. You also have a view of the large pool from here.
The view from the Juliette balcony in the second bedroom of Playa Blanca port is also spectaculor.
The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a large fridge freezer, built in oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave & washing machine.
The large lounge has a TV, DVD player & CD player. There is a sofa bed which sleeps 2 & chair as well as a stylish dining table and chairs. French doors lead out to the south Ffcing spacious terrace with sun loungers and table & chairs.
Further details outdoors: The Villa is set in its own grounds in a plot size of 450m2. There is a patio area to the front and side with tables and chairs as well as sun loungers and then the garden has typical Canary plants and trees. There is also a barbecue so al fresco dining can also be enjoyed on the Patio outside the French doors leading off the lounge. The garden area is very large and so we have had a private walled garden built within the original garden. You access this from the lounge via a glass door, which is made from toughened and laminated security glass. The view from the lounge door is now spectacular over to Playa Blanca Bay and the "Red Mountain" The "Red Mountain" is so named because the sun sets behind it turning the entire mountain in lovely shades of red! The inner garden is delightful with many plants and sun beds as well as a dining table and chairs. It also has a built in BBQ. The inner garden is very safe and secure for toddlers because it is entirely enclosed. We think that this is a very special and unique feature of the Villa and worth a special mention.

A new waterpark opened in May 2012 is a further attraction in Playa Blanca. it is located on the Ligfhthouse side of the Harbour.
Lanzarote has more sunshine than any of the other Canary Islands and the least rainfall which falls on no more than 16 days in a year. Playa Blanca lies on the Southerly tip of Lanzarote facing Fuerteventura and is reputed to be the sunniest and most sheltered resort on the Island.
The Timanfay national Park s a 20 minute drive from the Villa and was declared a national park in 1974. The park looks like the surface of the moon only more colourful with a superb volcanic landscape. If you only make time for one trip then it must be the trip to the Timanfaya National Park where you can take a camel ride across the parkland, visit the Museo de Rocas museum which has many geological specimens from the park.
Crowning the volcanic hill is the Diablo Restaurant, designed by Cesar Manrique and where much of the food is grilled over a barbecue using the natural heat from the volcano which is 6m (20ft) below the ground.
The Playa Blanca / Marina Rubicon area
The Villa is situated in a complex of 48 Villas which share a very large and attractive pool with sun terraces in well maintained gardens. In the next street to the Villa is the exclusive 5* Gran Melia Volcan hotel which is considered to be the most luxurious hotel on the Island.
A very short stroll along the Coastal path brings you to the extremely tasteful and attractive Marina Rubicon with its designer shops and upmarket restaurants where meals are remarkably reasonably priced. You will find a fine selection of restaurants including specialist in local fresh fish, Chinese, Italian and Spanish.
10 minutes further along the coastal path is the resort of Playa Blanca which was once a small fishing port and although it has grown over the last 10 years it has still retained its charm. From Playa Blanca's harbour there are ferries to Corraljejo on Fuerteventura and this takes 30 minutes.

We chose Lanzarote due to Easter being early this year and knew we could pretty much guarantee the weather. We weren't disappointed as we had beautiful weather for 2 whole weeks which resulted in temperatures of high 20 's and early 30's. The villa when we arrived was better than my expectations as sometimes photos aren't true to the properties current state. The villa is clean, well laid out with all the amenities you need to make your stay comfortable. The beds were really comfortable too and the bedding of a really good quality. The bathrooms are lovely and the shower in the ensuite to the master room is great. The villas boast fantastic views of the Marina, Fuerteventura, the pool and the mountains. The patio areas front and back are sun traps with sunshine all day long. Lots of seating outside for alfresco dining. The Marina itself is 700m away with some of the best food I have eaten. Lani's Grillhouse was our favourite place day and night. You can sit on comfortable sofas outside on the Marina during the day drinking champagne cava whilst the children feed the fish with the free bread provided by the staff. Playa Dorado is a pleasant mile walk along the promenade. The beach is spotless with plenty of places to get refreshments close by. The golf bar was a great place to grab a drink and a quick bite at really good prices. Playa Blanca is a further half mile walk down the promenade with yet again more great food and bars. There wasn't one thing I could find fault with on this holiday. We have been back a week and I have already boked to go back for 2 weeks Easter 2015!!
Response: Well, what can I add!? Thank you for describing my Villa and the Marina, Playa Dorada and Playa Blanca so clearly. Just to explain distances in time, the Marina is a 5 minute walk from the Villa, Playa Dorada is a further 15 minute walk and Playa Blanca a further 10 minute walk. You reach all these places by turning right out of the Villa. However, if you were to turn left you reach the beautiful and un-commercial Papagayo beaches within 10 minutes' walk. These really are spectacular and only the first beach has any facilities, after this you could be on any deserted Caribbean Island (of which I have visited a few) but in my opinion the Papagayo beaches have whiter more powdery sand and a brilliant and sparkly deep blue/bright green sea. Thanks for your repeat booking and I look forward to welcoming you back.

“Lovely apartment close to amenities.”
Pool area very quiet and clean. It would have been good to have had parasols if you dont like to sit in the sun all day like myself and others, which meant we couldnt enjoy the pool area as much as we wanted due to lack of shade. The villa was tucked up in a corner rather than around the pool as picture suggests, though not a problem. A 5 to 10 minute walk to the marina, which is lovely and not overly expensive. A 20 minute walk to beach and other shops, bars etc, though it didnt seem that far as it is a lovely walk.
Response: Thank you for taking the time to write this review and I agree that the Villa is very well located right behind the Marina.
It is indeed a lovely walk along the promenade which goes all the way from the Papagayo beaches to Playa Blanca and beyond. There are spectacular views from here to Fuerteventura. I love jogging along here in the mornings in December in lovely warm sunshine with the glistening sea below me and blue skies above.
I am sorry that you could not find a parasol around the pool as some are supplied but it will be a good idea for me to supply some that belong specifically to my Villa. This I will do and thank you for your suggestion. Best wishes, Penny

“Fabulous - didn't disappoint.”
We stayed at the Villa at the end of July/beginning of August 2012. The Villa was just what we expected. It was clean and well equipped. There were plenty of pans, crockery and kitchen utensils, all in good condition. The washing machine came in very handy for refreshing the towels which dried on the clothes drier provided in no time, due to the almost constant sunshine and welcoming breeze. The private garden is fabulous with sun loungers, a variety of tables and chairs and a barbeque, which we made good use of. The pool is beautiful and, as many of the villas are not occupied, was almost always empty and used exclusively by us.
Rubicon Marina is a short walk away and has a few cocktail bars and restaurants, but I would recommend hiring a car to see the rest of the Island and the fabulous beaches at Papagayo. As my daughters and their friend are 20 and 16 years old, there is not much entertainment for their age group within walking distance other than the bowling alley and amusement complex. We did tend to drive them to the nearby Papagayo Centro Commercial where there is a beach and more lively bars and a disco which open until 4am. A taxi back to the villa only cost 3 euros 60 as it is a very short distance.
All in all we had a lovely holiday and would definitely book the Villa again if we decide to return to Playa Blanca.
Response: I do appreciate you taking the time to write this lovely review and I am pleased that you found the Villa to be exactly as it is shown in the Photos on the Holiday Lettings website and that it is exactly as it is described. I am delighted that you have found the Villa to be clean and that all the kitchen utensils were plentiful and in good order. Its sounds that you had lovely weather with nearly wall to wall sunshine but with a slight breeze to temper down the heat. Having visited My Villa in most months of the year I can vouch that this weather is very typical in Playa Blanca which does get more sunshine hours than any other area on Lanzarote and indeed more sunshine than most other Canary Isles. Yes, the private inner courtyard garden is the “piece de résistance”, being the most impressive part of the Villa. I have spent many enjoyable relaxing hours here whilst my husband BBQ's our evening meal. As the Courtyard garden faces both South and West the sun shines there all day right until the sun sets behind The Red Mountain. I have seen many spectacular sun sets from here. My daughter is 18 and likes to stay in the Villa with her friends. There are bars and clubs in the Playa Dorada area too and The Jungle Bar is one of their favourites which opens at 11pm when I am off to bed! The walk from the Villa to Playa Dorada takes 15 minutes which is very similar to the time that it takes to walk to The Papagayo Centro Commercial but, of course, in the opposite direction. A car is not necessary because it is easy to travel to and from the airport and the journey time is around 30 minutes. Then you have everything that you need once you arrive at the Villa, with a very good and large Supermarket being no more than a 5 minute walk and the Marina with its many bars and restaurants being at most a 10 minute walk and then Playa Blanca is a further 10 minute walk where you can get anything that you require. However, hiring a car is a convenient way to see the Island but another way is to take one of the Coach Tours offered by the Tourist Board and one of their shops is located in the Marina. Thank you for considering my Villa for a future holiday and thank you again for this appreciative review.
The villa is in a brilliant location, very close to the Marina with lots of bars and restaurants. The villa itself is modern, clean and very spacious and the outside space was great for chilling and sunbathing.,the rear garden is fully enclosed and safe for young children. There is a large shared pool which was great to cool off in and the beach was a 15 min walk away. Overall a great place to have your holiday.

“Great villa in good location”
Ive read the review that says this was awful. I'm sorry if that was the case, but we had no problems. I thought the condiments were fine, and had no problem with them. The villa was clean, so I think this lady was unlucky. I liked the little dog, and accepted she was a stray. I don't think the owner can be responsible for the dog in her garden. We have booked to go again in May next year.
Response: Thank you very much for submitting this review. I am delighted that you found the Villa clean and tidy and in a good condition. I would, however like to point out that the dog does actually have a home and is very well cared for, fed and looked after. She is also adorable but rarely visits my garden. Thank you for your repeat booking in May 2013 and I am delighted that you have chosen to return to my my Villa again for your holiday. I am sure that you will have a really lovely time then as you did when you were my guest in February 2012. Thanks again for taking the time to submit this review. Best wishes Penny

“quiet, beautiful villa close to beaches, bars and restaurants”
great villa with everything you could possibly need! There are decent sized rooms with tasteful modern décor and plenty of seating areas, a great pool and private courtyard area. The only things we found missing were a couple of kitchen utensils e.g. cheese grater but this could be worked around so it wasn't a big problem, apart from that it had everything. The complex is very quiet and we often had the pool to ourselves, overall a very relaxing place. The villa is in good walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants and beaches and there is plenty to do in terms of day trips. Would highly recommend for families or group holidays.
Response: Thank you very much for taking the time to write this complimentary review. I hadn't realised that the kitchen was missing a cheese grater but I have asked my agent to supply one immediately, and to check for any other missing utensils. Thanks for your booking and I am really pleased you enjoyed your relaxing holiday. Do let me know if you would like to book again as I do offer a 10 to 20% discount off the advertised price for returning guests depending on the time of year. I am pleased to report that 35% of my bookings for 2013 so far, have been from returning guests who have been delighted with the Villa and the area. Thanks again for the review, Penny

“DONT BE FOOLED BY THE PHOTOS”
We stayed here in Dec/Jan 2012 with our 3 children. We arrived to find a extremely thin dog in the front garden, my children and I were heartbroken to see this, I was worried to death thinking that we have got to see this dog for the 2 weeks and was I going to find it dead and on sending an e-mail to the owner was advised this is the local dog!!! just giver her some left over food shes very well kept, we was told (notice would of been nice). Once we entered into the villa, the main front door had been patched up from where it had been broken into, we were absolutely deflated, expecting to see what the pictures was showing, no instead we had a very tired and used villa. The kitchen was FILTHY, the blinds was broken and full of stains, there was beans or spaghetti juice splashed up outside and inside of the microwave, the oven had a film of grease which was a build up, the utensils drawer had all food crumbs etc in it, the fridge was full of mold, fat splashes all over the cupboards. Inside the cupboards were left over sauces etc, there was no room to place our own things which we had brought (I do appreciate that salt and sauce sachets etc are handy for when you arrive but these things should of been thrown away). The sweeping brush and mop I think they were bought when they bought the villa... The downstairs bathroom...well this too was filthy, shower cubicle, sink and toilet had never seen any bleach in its day, splash marks again up the walls and doors from where the previous holiday makers had applied suncream (we refused to use this room throughout our 2 week stay). The downstairs bedroom, wall full of mold, very damp (we removed one of the beds and took it the bedroom upstairs which also had mold on the walls- damp patches). The lounge was ok, not spotless again the blinds were broken and badly stained, the patio windows were dirty and marked with very bad scratches from what we believe the dog had done but was well equipped, unfortunately the sky tv which was advertised would not work, fortunately we took our own card (which we the owner advised us to do) and was able to see some tv. The outdoor space was great, we enjoyed the BBQ area, there is a big round table with 6 chairs and sun loungers, within private walls. Upstairs there was 2 bedrooms and 1 Bathroom which housed the washing machine..the wall cabinet was full of used toiletries, roll on deodorants, toothbrushes, hair bobbles etc ...throw them away!!! the toilet here also had not seen any bleach (apparently it is the lanzarote water...lol) the main bedroom had en-suite, well this shower was worse than the downstairs..I spent the whole day scrubbing and I mean scrubbing..my eyes were stinging with the neat bleach that I was using (with a very worn out scouring brush which I found under the sink in the kitchen) and bleaching (bought from local supermarket) this cubicle until it was as best clean as I could get it. The plug hole had all hair in it and again the toilet had a permanent rim mark. There was no change of bedding or toweling which was very tired, we have been told on complaining once we arrived back home that if we would of asked, it is locked up in the 2nd bedroom and should of asked the "cleaner". Why lock up spare bedding, if its meant to be there for that purpose. The safe also did not work as the batteries had ran out and again from the local supermarket we replaced these.. I could go on and on.. The pool is not directly outside the Villa like shown in the pictures, Ok its only 5/6 villas down the path but this was one of the reasons we booked so we could see our children from the Villa. Overall this is far from what we expected, we had booked this holiday 1 year in advance as we work really hard and was looking forward to our only 2 week annual holiday.....the villa could be a beautiful place to stay but unfortunately for us, it had been let out for 3 years and not maintained, it needed painting and also a good bottoming, which is what we said to the cleaner when she came to see us.....to which she agreed... but she did say the reason the mould and buildup in the showers are due to new cubicles be installed..RUBBISH!!!!... I replied ..sorry thats not excuse I have already cleaned the upstairs one with neat bleach and an old scrubbing brush..its because you do not have the time....she agreed. Once back home we wrote and complained and sent some of the pictures to the owner and they refused to believe what we put (pictures don't lie) but they offered us 100 euros without prejudice and to this date we still have not received it!!! The aftercare is disgusting, not one word of an apology for any inconvenience we had, they just kept putting it on the cleaner. (give her more change over time to clean). I just hope now that upon our complaint that this villa has been refreshed and is spotless!!!
Response: I respectfully take on board all feedback and opinions from my customers. I also understand that the impressions of our customers are of paramount importance to our reputation in the holiday lettings industry. All the visitors to my villa with this one exception have provided both objective and extremely complimentary reports. We pride ourselves on service, we value our customers and wish for them to have the same experience we would expect when going on holiday. I agree and regret that on this occasion, the standards of cleanliness fell short. When notified I did instruct the cleaners to attend immediately to clean as per the service standards expected. Please note that this visit was in December and we have since addressed the situation by appointing new contract cleaners. To put the record straight, I agree and regret that on this occasion the Villa the standard of cleanliness fell short. The guest complained to me and my cleaners who called round straightaway and apologised for this. The guest wouldn't let my cleaners re-enter. The Villa's position and structure is exactly as it looks like on the photos and I deny that it is tired looking. I also deny that the Villa's front door has ever been “patched up” or that it has ever been broken into. I am unsure as to why this claim has been made. The Villa was completely repainted in February 2012 and all the wood outside was treated at the same time as well as varnished. It is periodically painted to ensure that the walls are clean and fresh looking. The condiments left in the kitchen are useful for guests and I have been thanked on many occasions that they are there to save guest the trouble of buying salt, pepper, oil and vinegar and sugar etc. The downstairs bathroom is not filthy but the tiles can become a little stained because water on the Canary Isles is delivered via copper pipes which can make the water brown which in turn stains the tiles so these are bleached regularly. I totally deny that there is any mould or damp in the Villa anywhere. The safe has always worked and is checked after each guest has left. It was working when the family arrived. Again the bathroom cabinet contains shampoo; shower gels and some sun screen all items which are useful for future guests. Guests are at liberty to use or ignore these items as they see fit. Any guests wishing for these items to be temporarily removed only have to ask and I will see that this is done prior to their visit. I have never misled my guests about the position of the Villa. The lead picture on the Holiday lettings website shows the Villa in the corner of the complex and this picture is entitled “View of South and West Facing Villa which also catches the sun as it rises in the East”. Guests like the position of the Villa as it is not very much overlooked and is more private than any of the other Villas. However, you do have pool views from the master bedroom and balcony. The dog pictured by the reviewer is looked after by a couple residing in one of the nearby properties. I'm not sure that the issue of the dog is really relevant. I can confirm that my villa is gated and if the garden gate is closed then the dog would not attempt to enter. I myself am a dog lover and have no concerns over its welfare as it is a Canarian Hunting dog and is naturally thin looking. I do however wish to distance myself with the association of the dog and the villa as this appears to be an isolated incident. The only part of this review that has any substance is the fact that the Villa was not as clean as it should have been and for this I offer an unreserved apology to this Reviewer. Additionally I have, with pleasure, paid the guest €100 in compensation. I have asked my independent (with no connection to me) previous guests who stayed after this Reviewer if they will write a review on Trip Advisor because all of them enjoyed their holiday so much in my Villa that they have either booked to return or are planning to. If you are considering my Villa for your holiday and are concerned about the review posted on 11 July 2012 please contact me on 07785505805. I will be delighted to re-assure you and I am convinced you will enjoy the Villa. Thank you in advance, Penny
“Modern, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped villa - amazing value for money”
The villa is spacious with 3 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large living/dining area and 2 large and private garden spaces. Our group included 2 couples plus 1 other adult and there was plenty of space. The website states it sleeps 6 but you could easily fit in 6 adults plus kids if you bring travel cots etc
It's incredibly well equipped with a fully-functional kitchen (cooker/hob, large fridge freezer, dish washer, crockery, cutlery, glasses, pans etc) an ipod dock/stereo, tv (we didn't actually switch it on), dvd player, washing machine, comfy sofa/chairs, a large dining table and chairs and much more. Outside, both garden areas are private and well equipped with table/chairs and sunbeds. If that's not enough there's also an excellent built-in BBQ, perfect for those long summer evenings, not so great in a gale and in the dark in February (no one died).
The Villa overlooks the impressive Marina and is a short walk (10 mins max) to the wide range of restaurants, bars and shops. We ate in a few of the places here, all of which looked the part (apart from the older, neon-lit complex behind) but we felt were over-priced. It's only a 30 min walk into Playa Blanca itself or about 3 euros in a taxi if you don't fancy a stroll and there are plenty of places to eat here which are just as good and more realistically priced.
In summary, this villa is very comfortable, clean, well equipped and spacious - an absolute bargain!
Response: Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review and the Villa is indeed spacious and will actually sleep 8 plus 2 babies as I can supply 2 baby cots if required. As there is a lot of outdoor space you can never be too crowded. There is the front garden, housing 2 tables, one under the pergola seating 6 to 8 and the other in the sun, also seating 6 to 8. This table faces East and south and so you catch the sun from the moment it rises. Sunbeds are also supplied here. Then there is the private inner courtyard garden where there is another glass topped table and 10 comfy wicker armchairs with cushions where it is ideal to sit at have lunch or dinner. This is where the indoor BBQ is located and sunbeds are also supplied here too.I visit quite often myself and I do keep the Villa as a "Home from Home" which does ensure a high standard of equipment being supplied and mostly everything you could want in the kitchen
