The villa is furnished to a very high standard and enjoys the benefits of a private, electrically heated swimming pool set in a large terrace with secure walled gardens.
Faro Park is a select development of privately owned villas situated at the foot of Montana Roja, a stunning red mountain which is an extinct volcano. A short walk will allow access to several bars, restaurants, 2 small supermarkets and 2 coffee bars so there are plenty of places to go in the evening without having to drive.
There is also a bus service that provides easy access to all the local amenities. The loop route stops a few hundred metres from Casa Bocayna and runs every 30 minutes from 06:50 to 22:20. The fare is €1.15 regardless of where you get on or off.
The resorts of Playa Flamingo and Playa Blanca are only a couple of minutes away by car or bus and the fabulous beaches of Papagaya can be reached in about 10 minutes by car or the furthest reach of the bus route.
The Playa Blanca area boasts many fine restaurants so you can spend many nights at Casa Montaña Roja without dining at the same one twice, although we know there will be many you'll want to return to. There is a list of recommended restaurants in the villa complete with telephone numbers should you wish to book in advance.

The Lanzarote region
Lanzarote boasts the perfect climate all the year round. Rarely much above 30 degrees in the summer and rarely below 20 degrees in the winter.
Playa Blanca is among the quietest areas on the island - the ideal place to get away from it all and relax.
There are so many fabulous attractions on Lanzarote, we recommend you rent a car and get out to see the volcanoes at Timanfaya National Park, the Cactus Garden, the Mirador del Rio, Ceasar Manrique's house and many, many more fabulous places to visit on this fascinating island.
Playa Blanca / Faro Park area
There are several bars and restaurants within a 3 - 15 minute walk. The coastal area around Faro Park is rocky and without a beach in the immediate vicinity. The rocky coastline has a block promenade allowing for very enjoyable walks above the waves crashing on the rocks below. The sunset from the South West tip is absolutely stunning.
There is a local bus service which operates every 30 minutes from 06:50 to 22:20 and runs in a loop through all the local facilities such as the beaches of Playa Flamingo, Playa Blanca, Playa Dorada and the world famous beaches of Playa Papagayo. It also serves the shopping areas on Playa Blanca and the fabulous Marina Rubicon. The fare is €1.15 regardless of where you embark or alight.
Playa Blanca is an old fishing village and provides many shops, restaurants and bars. There are fabulous views over the bay from the many waterfront restaurants.
Marina Rubicon is just a short way around the coast from Playa Blanca and boats some of the island's best restaurants and exclusive shops.
How to get there
Flights from the UK to Arrecife (Lanzarote's airport) take 3.5 - 4 hours. The villa is approximately 30 minutes drive from the airport and we can help you with car hire, or arrange transfers by minibus for you if you wish not to have a car.
There is also an excellent local bus service which loops around all the local ameneties every 30 minutes from 06:50 - 22:20 EVERY DAY.
There are flights from most UK airports on Sundays and we prefer this as our changeover day rather than the usual Thursday in order to cater for people who (like ourselves) would rather travel on the weekend and who like to avoid the very busy times at Arrecife airport. We are able to be flexible with regard to arrival day outside of peak times and we are also happy to rent for any period.

Further details indoors: Casa Montaña Roja is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa. The master bedroom suite is located on the first floor and comprises bedroom with Kingsize bed, dressing room, en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, WC, bidet & hand basin. The master suite has French doors leading from the dressing room to the private sun terrace which boasts a small table and chairs plus two sunbeds.
The second bedroom also has a King size bed and shares a full bathroom with the third bedroom which is fitted with twin beds.
The comfortable lounge boats UK Sky TV, DVD player (plus an extensive DVD library), CD player and French doors to the sun/pool terrace. Outside the French doors is an additional table and chairs under the protection of a large pergola.
The kitchen is well equipped, including Bosch fan oven and Bosch touch control ceramic hob. This kitchen is as suitable for those who are serious about creating their own culinary delights as it is for those wishing to eat in restaurants during their stay. There is also a large fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
The adjacent utility room is home to the washing machine and tumble dryer. A store room hosts several inflatable toys for the pool.
The dining room has comfortable seating for 10 people and has French doors to the sun/pool terrace for Al-fresco dining if preferred. A large stone BBQ is on the terrace just outside the French doors so you can keep an eye on your steaks without missing the conversation with your friends and family.
The electrically heated pool sits in the middle of a large terrace and there are 6 sunbeds with quality cushions.
This villa really is the owner's second home and no expense has been spared on furnishing or maintenance.

Further details outdoors: Casa Montana Roja boasts extensive gardens which have been sympathetically planted with many native trees and shrubs. The well established gardens add to the tranquillity of the setting for this villa and offer considerable privacy even though there are only 2 villas in the road. To the West and beyond the walls of the gardens in Casa Montana Roja, there is a large area of palm trees so you are completely out of sight of the neighbouring properties.
There are two private off-road parking bays belonging to the property providing easy access to the villa.
