About the home

This beautifully appointed detached villa was completed in Sept 2005 to a high specification. It is located on the exclusive Faro Park Development on the south west corner of the island enjoying the best all year round sunshine. It is set in a lovely tranquil area of Playa Blanca, yet not far from the fun and excitement of the main attractions. The owners of this villa have spent many happy holidays here and have fully equipped it with all modern conveniences to make it a superb family holiday home that they hope you will enjoy too. Faro Park is located just a few minutes walk from the sea where you can enjoy some fabulous coastal walks and just 5 minutes drive to some of the best beaches on the island. There is a supermarket, a bakery/patisserie, a cafe, bar and restaurant all within a 2/3 minute walk of the villa and a large on site communal swimming pool where children can mix with other children staying on the complex.

The villas spacious entrance hall leads to all communal living areas. The fully equipped kitchen has all modern utensils and appliances and a separate utility room which houses a washing machine and dryer.
The lounge area has 2 comfortable leather sofas for relaxation, a coffee table, side table, fireplace, a large Satellite TV, DVD player, music station and French doors leading to the pool and garden area.
The master bedroom also has French doors leading to the pool and garden area, a double bed and a luxury en suite bathroom. The second bedroom has twin beds and space for a good quality 'Z' bed for a 5th person if required. Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes providing ample storage facilities.
The main bathroom has a large walk-in shower. Both bathrooms are beautifully finished with marble floor and wall tiles.

Further details outdoors:
Outside the villa there are two fully furnished covered seating areas which provide both a relaxing retreat from the hot midday sun and al fresco dining facilities including a built-in BBQ. Subtle lighting enhances the evening ambiance.
Sun beds are provided on the sun terrace surrounding the pool area and maturing gardens. *The pool is cleaned weekly to maintain optimum swimming conditions and an underwater pool light allows for evening dips.
There is a private car parking space for your use at the side of the villa.

Further details

Changeover days are flexible, however, most UK flights arrive and leave Lanzarote on a Thursday.
All guests receive a complimentary welcome pack on arrival. A cot and high chair are available at no extra charge - please request in advance.
Guests are kindly asked to arrive no earlier than 3pm and vacate before 10am on the day of departure (unless otherwise agreed).
Linen and towels are provided (with the exception of cot linen and beach towels) and changed weekly for lets of two weeks or more.
Sorry no pets are allowed at the property. Smoking is permitted outside the villa only.
Please note: For your safety, all non-swimmers and children must be supervised at all times whilst in the swimming pool area.

The Lanzarote region

The beautiful island of Lanzarote is one of the most popular destinations for holiday makers in the UK. It is known as the volcanic island with breathtaking scenery, golden sandy beaches and around 300 days of sunshine each year. The north of the island is more exposed, but provides ideal conditions for activities such as, windsurfing, sailing, fishing, cycling etc. while the south side of the island offers a more sheltered environment for people to enjoy.

The Playa Blanca / Faro Park area

Playa Blanca is a peaceful resort situated on the southern tip of Lanzarote, approximately 35 minutes from Arrecife airport. It enjoys the best weather on the island and stunning views across to the neighbouring islands of Fuerteventura and Los Lobos. There is a beautiful coastal walk leading from the lighthouse (Pechiguera Point) to the beaches at Papagayo and a pretty seafront walk that will take you the length of Playa Blanca to Los Colourades beach. In fact, Playa Blanca boasts 5 fantastic golden sandy beaches dotted along its coastline, Playa Gorda, Playa Flamingo, Playa Blanca, Playa Dorada and the famous idyllic beaches of Playas de Papagayos, all of which are set well away from the road so are ideal for families and children. There is also a pathway leading up the side of Montaña Roja overlooking the village of Playa Blanca that offers panoramic views over the islands of Fuerteventura and Los Lobos and towards the Timanfaya National Park. At the harbour, sea taxis will take you to the Papagayo beaches and the ferries will take you over to the neighbouring islands of Fuerteventura and Los Lobos.
Markets:
The market in Playa Blanca is held at the Marina Rubicon on a Wednesday between the hours of 09:00 and 14:00. This market is still quite new to the area but does offer a good selection of clothes, jewellery and many other Lanzarote gifts. Once the market has finished, however, you can visit the many chic bars, shops and restaurants at the marina or sit and relax with a nice cool drink whilst admiring the array of fantastic yachts moored here.
Sports:
Amongst the many water sports on offer, for diving enthusiasts there is an international PADI dive centre based in Playa Blanca offering tuition for people who have never dived before as well as guided boat and shore dives to various sites and courses for the more experienced divers. They also offer a pick-up service. Bikes can be hired in the village centre or from the parade of shops in front of the Lanzarote Park Hotel.
Carnivals & Fiestas:
There is a carnival in Playa Blanca normally just before Easter and the procession winds its way through the village and is followed by a fiesta in the village square. There is also another local fiesta which is normally held during the middle of July in Playa Blanca harbour and the town beach area.

Lanzarote’s international airport (Arrecife) now has many direct flights several days a week from most UK airports, including scheduled and charter flights. Flight time is approx. 4hrs from the UK.
Car and taxi hire are readily available at the airport or can be pre-booked. Please ask for details.
