About the home

Casa Flamingo is on the private residential area of Montana Roja (Red Volcano) in Playa Blanca, which is overlooked by the stunning extinct Red Mountain Volcano, and has magnificent sea views.

The property, has a private heated pool, JACUZZI, sun bathing terrace with BBQ, a sun filter Hammock and 3 large parasols all of which offer protection from the UVB rays that CAUSE BURNING, but still allow you to TAN, WITHOUT CREAM. In addition there are 8 sun-loungers, 8 patio chairs and 2 patio tables.

In side you have a magnificent kitchen, lounge, and dining area, leading directly on to the sun terrace, as do 3 of the 4 bedrooms.

Each bedroom is fitted with an individual Air-conditioning unit that also acts as a Dehumidifier, Heater,or Air Purifier/Filter for perfect sleeping conditions irrespective of the weather. They work on a metre system and are available to all guests.

The property has Satellite TV, DVD, Video, and CD equipment. In the luxury fitted kitchen there is a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, ceramic hob, full sized oven, and all cooking utensils required.

The washing machine is situated in the utility room, which also has a drying area. Towels and linen are all provided, and changed every week.

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote is said to be one of the most unusual and beautiful of the Canary Islands. It lies just 95 Km off the west coast of Africa and not far from the south west of the Spanish peninsula. This fantastic location means you are ensured high temperatures any time of the year and Lanzarote benefits from more days of sunshine and fewer days of rain compared to any of the other islands. The high temperatures are eased by the cool breeze making it ideal for sunbathing, sporting activities and exploring the many areas of culture by day and in the evening there are many bars and restaurants perfect for relaxing over a leisurely meal.

The island is particularly famous for its 'lunar' landscapes and consists of almost 300 volcanoes. There are many areas to explore and from the volcanic mountains the views are spectacular. The rocky coastlines are broken up by the beautiful golden sandy beaches and the different greenery and agriculture.

The Playa Blanca / Montana Roja area

The villa is in a fantastic location being just 300m from the stunning Playa Flamingo beach. Here you will find an assortment of seafront cafes, restaurants and supermarkets.

Playa Blanca benefits from the best of the weather and sunshine due to it being on the South Coast of the island. The villa is close to a harbour where you can hop on the ferry over to Fuerteventura. There is a newly developed marina where you will find many shops, restaurants and 10 pin bowling to challenge your family and friends to a friendly tournament.

Located in Playa Blanca, specifically in the beautiful area of Montana Roja - Casa Flamingo is ideally located, only being 5 minutes walk to the nearest supermarket, 10 minutes to the closest restaurants and local beach. Taxis are relatively cheap and plentiful, so if you don't fancy walking or would like to go a little further a field, just flag one down.

Travelling to Lanzarote is easily done. There are main airlines that have routes to lanzarotes airport - Arrecife (ACE). Such as www.flythomascook.co.uk or www.thomsonfly.co.uk or www.firstchoice.co.uk and many more. The flight normally takes no more than 4 hours.

From the airport, Playa Blanca is only a half hour drive.

For the rental rate chart based on 4 people: - For more than 4 people please add £100 per person per week, upto a maximum of 8 people.

The pool is solar heated all year, and during the summer months, this will be sufficient for swimming in the pool and is included in the prices shown. However during what can be the cooler months. November to end March, we would recommend the electric heating system is switched on, to guarantee 27/28C at all times, which costs an extra £85.00 a week. It is possible to use this additional system all year, if required.

A deposit of £200 per week (non-refundable) is payable on confirmation of booking. The balance is to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. Children under 2 are our guests, so there is no charge.

As an additional extra ALL THE BEDROOMS HAVE PAY AS YOU GO AIR-CONDITIONING, HEATING, DEHUMIDIFYING, AIR FILTERING UNITS for perfect sleeping conditions irrespective of the weather, Ceiling fans are included in the basic villa price.

***NEW*** This villa now has a pool alarm facility. The alarm works by detecting water movement in the pool, the alarm sounds both at the pool side and on a remote unit which can be moved into any room within the villa. The unit can be rented at 50 euros per week.

Bookings are normally from Thursday 3.00 PM to Thursday 10.00 am. Other transit days will be considered based on availability, please ask.

Early arrivals are not a problem, please tell us what your times are, and we will do our best to accommodate you whilst the villa is being prepared. Up till 10.00am thought is still the previous guest’s holiday.

Rates shown can be subject to change, existing bookings taken where prices increase will be honoured.

There is a luxurious JACUZZI in the corner of the sun terrace, which is completely private, and can be booked as an EXTRA for your holiday at £65.00 a week. To allow time for it to heat, be cleaned and the correct chemical balance provided, we will need to know, if this is to be required before your holiday.

A welcome pack: - consisting, of tea, water, sugar, coffee, milk, biscuits, wine/cava is included in the above prices. We are happy to provide additional food for your holiday, please let us have your list, and you can pay us for this on your arrival.

High chairs, cots and child seats are available for hire at 20 Euros a week, per item.

CAR HIRE can arranged, please ask for details.

Please note - for 10 day holidays, extra towels will be provided at the beginning of your holiday, but no mid term clean or linen change will be provided, unless specifically requested and paid for separately, in which case please let us know how we can best assist you.

A Playstation 2 is also available for hire at 30 euros per week (subject to availability). However you must bring your own games and memory cards.
