About the home

Overlooking the sea, this first (top) floor apartment is in a privileged location - 1 minute stroll away from sandy beach and easy walking distance to all amenities including restaurants, bars, shops and pool. Ideal for children too!! No car needed! The apartment is almost overlooking the best beach in town, and is situated about 10mins walk to the town centre, which is ideal for an evening stroll along the promenade. Enjoy the sunsets over Fuerteventura from your balcony, SUN LOUNGERS provided and can be used on the balcony as can table and chairs! Being SOUTH FACING you get the sun most of the day. Many of our guests have said how much they enjoy just relaxing on the balcony, listening to and watching the sea. This is a privately owned apartment sharing with hotel complex. New doors and windows for 2009 - all very fresh looking. NEW enhanced facilities and upgrades from April 2010 under First Choice/TUI management. You can book all inclusive at reception. (Or directly but then you cannot be sure where your apartment will be, and some have no sea views).

This is a very cosy and desirable, sought after property that sleeps up to 4 adults, or 2A + 3children, (one twin bedded room and one double ikea pull out sofa bed, one mobile Z bed). The property has a really good feel to it - stress and hassle free, allowing you to really enjoy your holiday! It has a nicely equipped kitchen within the lounge /dining room area, but only a small oven within a microwave, and a small freezer compartment. No dishwasher or washing machine, but laundrette on site. There is a buffet meal service on site - was 9 euros for breakfast, 18 euros for dinner. There is a small balcony off the bedroom. .Ideal for anyone looking for all year round sun by the sea. Panoramic views. Very pleasant location, with a safe, homely and community feel - and relaxing too, albeit not altogether quiet as there is a children's play area nearby, so plenty of holiday atmosphere. This is unlike many apartments in other areas (some are really quiet, like ghost towns away from the sea, and with few or no facilities!). Cot hire and high chair hire available from reception.

There is a washing machine and dryer about 100m away in the launderette 4 euros per wash - for a huge load. 25mins wash cycle. 2 microwave ovens, one with grill/ convection oven. Small freezer shelf within the fridge, but no freezer. (best to buy food day to day - supermarkets on site open late). Satellite TV includes free channels, film, itv2, sports.. Air con unit is included. (normally 40 euros / week from reception). All doors and windows are new Oct 09. Maid service available any days you require, 40 euros approx per clean - call and pay direct to agent. Foldaway single bed free. Cot hire is extra, but at cost price. This is a cosy and homely apartment, and ideal for 2-3 people, but Ok up to 5. It is well designed, so enough space for 2 adults, and 3 children if you use the living room as a bedroom at night. (3 beds in bedroom) There are extra toilets on site. We have supplied games, magazines and a few books. Internet access available on site, or use dongle. If you need anything extra, eg linen, please call/text the agent during your visit.

Whole site now benefits from a major upgrade in facilites completed early 2010.

The apartment is within holiday grounds that are well kept and landscaped, with a tropical feel. Lots of Palm trees. The terrace over looking the sea and Fuerteventura, and the beach to the side. 2 comfortable sun loungers, and table and chairs for 4.

There are numerous facilities, amenities as well as an excursion office - all on site. There is a playground and swimming pool entertainment, and a quieter pool too. There are 2 supermarkets on site, as well as 3 restaurants. The hotel restaurant provides buffet food, 7 euros for breakfast (well worth it) and 13 euros for evening meal. Plenty of parking outside hotel - free - 50 m walk to apartment. Free car parking outside complex, but 50m walk from there to apartment. This resort can be quite busy at times, so ideal if you want holiday atmosphere, but no so much if you want a really quiet time, with no one around you. Our property 52062 and 38418 and 52067 offer quiet and exclusive locations.

We would like £100 deposit to secure booking within a couple of days of confirming your wish to book, with balance 4 - 6 weeks before departure. £100 refundable breakage deposit. There is a keysafe with the key, and the agent's contact number 24/7 will be made available to those booking.

The Lanzarote region

Playa Blanca has a lovely homely feel, and not over commercialised and has character, Lanzarote is said to be one of the most unusual and beautiful of the Canary Islands. It lies just 96 Km off the west coast of Africa and 700 km from the south west of the Spanish peninsula.

This means you can expect temperatures of 20C or more any time of the year and Lanzarote benefits from more days of sunshine and fewer days of rain compared to any of the other islands. The higher temperatures in the Summer are eased by the cool breeze making it ideal for sunbathing, sporting activities and exploring the many areas of culture by day, and in the evening there are many bars and restaurants perfect for relaxing over a leisurely meal.

The island is particularly famous for its 'lunar' landscapes and consists of almost 300 volcanoes. You can see fire and eat naturally heated cuisine! Or just keep warm by the volcanic surfaces. There are many areas to explore and from the volcanic mountains the views are spectacular. The rocky coastlines are broken up by the beautiful golden sandy beaches and the different greenery and agriculture. The Papagayo beaches are protected, and with dream like white sands and quite wavy too. No bars or any kind of commercialism. (Walkable from apartment along coastline 1-1.5 hours)

Very well kept island, clean and tidy and minimal crime.. very pleasant holiday feel.

The Playa Blanca / Playa Flamingo area

Papagayo Beaches are some of the best in the canaries. Lovely beach walks. See the fire in the mountains too.
The Playa Flamingo complex offers a choice of 3 pools, a kids play area, mature gardens, a pool bar and entertainment in the evenings. This is shared with First Choice. The nearby beach is family friendly with a gently sloping sandy beach - due to be upgraded at a cost of 2,800,000 euros, work has been intermittent since Oct 09. The centre of Playa Blanca is just a gentle 15 minute stroll along the promenade.

This apartment is ideal for couples or families looking for a 'tropical' location next to the beach.

Ryanair, Easyjet, Aerlingus, Monarch, all offer some good deals, Also LGW to Madrid and Easyjet Madrid to ACE. Drive from Arrecife airport South towards Playa Blanca. about 20 miles - very easy, smooth and mostly fast road.

Car Hire - use Travelsupermarket or Argus Car Hire or Carberina Medina
Car hire can be £95/week whereas transfers are 40 euros each way, so car hire is mostly more economical and although driving on right, the roads are easy from the airport - no big towns, only drive through villages to get to apartment. About 25 minutes from airport.

If unavailable I can book a 3-4 star hotel for a couple of nights nearby to help fit in.
