About the home

Casa Victoria is a full airconditioned, quality villa designed for "chilling out" - couples or families.

The luxury curved pool and waterfall are child friendly with easy access. About 12 minutes stroll to the centre of Playa Blanca, its shops, eating places and beaches. The owners normally stroll down and then jump a taxi back for 2 or 3 euros (there are lots of taxis at the taxi rank at the town centre). Few guests ever bother hiring a car - unless they want to tour around.

Casa Victoria's guests are highly enthusiastic about the first-rate facilities and the luxury, heated pool, waterfall and sun terraces at this lovely villa. And the price is the same every month of the year!

Two big bedrooms sleep 4 comfortably. There is a comfortable sofa/bed in the living room if required. The kitchen has ceramic hobs, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle. The living and dining areas are furnished to a very high standard for your holiday comfort.

There is a lockable safe supplied. A towel change and mid-holiday clean will be provided on Mondays and sheet and towel change on Thursdays for two week stays. Internet is available for a small extra cost with your own laptop

A south facing terrace brings you all day sun. There are nice views to the sea at the front and the spectacularly beautiful Fémes mountains to the side. The terrace leads directly to a tiled sunbathing area beside the totally private swimming pool. The luxury, curved swimming pool features a waterfall that gently cascades over black, volcanic rock into the warm water. You'll love it...



The facilities and price of Casa Victoria must surely make it one of the very best value for money villas with pool you can rent in Lanzarote. £450 per week every week of the year!

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote is situated just 70 miles off the coast of Africa and is the most easterly of the Canary Islands. The island is 37 miles (60km) long and 12 miles (20 km) wide, making it the fourth largest island in the Canaries.
Lanzarote enjoys a mild dry climate with average daytime temperatures ranging from about 21°C in January to 29°C in August. Annual rainfall is just 140mm (5.5 inches). This makes Lanzarote the perfect year-round destination.

As with the other Canary Islands, Lanzarote is Volcanic in origin. Due to the recent eruptions during the 18th and 19th Centuries, many parts of Lanzarote appear to be from another world, often described as lunar or Martian, so much so that parts of Planet of the Apes were shot here.

The dry climate (and lack of erosion) means that the Volcanic Landscape appears much as it did just after the eruptions.

Amongst the many stunning Volcanic features of Lanzarote is the longest Volcanic Tunnel in the world, the Atlantida Tunnel, which is over 7 km long and includes the La Cueva de los Verdes and Jameos del Agua.
Despite the Volcanic nature of the island, Lanzarote has several beautiful white beaches such as at Playa Blanca and Papagayo.

Local authority regulations on the amount and style of development mean that there is no billboard advertising and no high rise buildings in Lanzarote.

The Playa Blanca area

Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on Lanzarote and has many advantages for those who are looking for sun, sea and sand as well as good fish restaurants that generally host the catch of the day. From Playa Blanca's seafront you can see across to Fuerteventura, which is a mere 11km by ferry. Ferries cross to the island several times a day from the main harbour.

The front is populated with a variety of beaches, notably Playa Dorada, Papagayo (reckoned to be one of the best on the island) and Playa Flamingo. Playa Blanca has a relaxed atmosphere compared to the more upbeat nightlife in Puerto del Carmen, restaurants on the front feature a wonderful sea view - perfect for couples and families.

“In one word - FANTASTIC!!” This villa was amazing - this is the first time we have stayed somewhere that had it's own pool - my goodness it was super, the waterfall was lovely. Casa Victoria had everything you could ever wish for and more!! The facilities are very good and the position of the villa is very peaceful. The staff who came around to maintain the villa and pool etc are very friendly. The villa is in a great position and was a nice walk down to the front of Playa Blanca - I have to say the island is one of the cleanest I have been to!! We would often walk down to the front and then get a taxi back - always plenty of taxis!! We went on a Grand Tour of the island - what a great trip it was and was lovely to see what the rest of Lanzarote had to offer. Also the market in Playa Blanca in Marina Rubicon is a must - one of the best markets I have been to. It's hard to believe that this time yesterday I was in Lanzarote - but when I go back I wouldn't think twice about staying in Casa Victoria A**

The villa is lovely and we had a really nice time we spent most of the day around the pool and the evenings in Playa Blanca where we found some excellant restaurants. The walk back to the villa was a pleasant relief after eating too much food and drinking a lot of vino.

Full Air conditioning in the two bedrooms and living room/dining room is available as an option. So is heating as it can be chilly on winter evenings - although its hot during the day. Pay as you chill...

Internet access on your own lap-top is available for a modest payment.
