The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote is situated the furthest East of the Canary Islands, opposite the coast of Morocco. Playa Blanca is located to the South of the island of Lanzarote and offers views across to Fuerteventura from the many beaches including Playa Dorada and the well known Papagayo beaches. It is the perfect destination with something on offer for all age groups and interests including shopping, watersports, golf and fishing.

Playa Blanca / Marina Rubicon area

A 5 minute stroll from the villa takes you to Marina Rubicon with all its bars, restaurants, bank and supermarket . Many trips and sporting activities can be booked in the small office at the Marina.

You can also catch the ferry in Playa Blanca and go on foot to Fuerteventura.

Timanfaya National Park is a must for any visitor to the island. The Montanas del Fuego (Fire Mountains) were created between 1730 and 1736 when more than 100 volcanoes rose and devastated part of the island. The last eruptions were in 1824 however, due to the low rainfall this area appears much as it did just after the eruptions. In 1968 it was declared a National Park, Parque Nacional de Timanfaya. The El Diablo restaurant serves Canarian food which is cooked using geothermal heat, there are camel rides across the volcanic landscape and a Coach trip around the park is included in the entry fee.

How to get there

Casa Blue Lagoon is approximately 25 minutes drive from Arrecife airport. You can hire a car at the airport, although car hire is not essential at Blue Lagoon due to its proximity to the Marina and local amenities. There is also a busy taxi rank and a local company who can arrange airport transfers if required.

The villa is arranged over 3 floors and is furnished to an high standard throughout. The Sunshine View Master Bedroom suite has a super king size bed, dressing room, en-suite bathroom and patio with stunning sea views. Oceans Rest, Turtle Nest and Dolphin Den have 2 single beds with Dolphin Den also having bunk beds, Coral Reef and Mermaid Cove both have king size beds. Mermaid Cove, Dolphin Den and Turtle Nest bedrooms are on the lower floor where there is some natural light. Oceans Rest, Mermaid Cove and Coral Reef bedrooms are all en-suite.

Please note that Blue Lagoon has a strictly no smoking policy in the house, outside pool area and garden.

The electrically heated pool is surrounded by a large terrace and has ample sun loungers. It is an ideal setting for al fresco dining or simply enjoying the sun with family and friends.
