Playa Blanca is situated at the southern tip of Lanzarote. The town has grown from the original fishing village with the development of quality shops, restaurants and bars including the newly opened Rubicon Marina. Local fishermen still land their catches in the harbour from where regular ferries also run to Fuertaventura.
Our bungalow is on the small private estate of Casas del Sol which was one of the earlier developments in Playa Blanca. This means that compared to some of the more recently built properties, it is conveniently located within a short walk of the town, port and beaches. Due to its location, it is quite possible to enjoy a holiday in Casas del Sol without a car as all the amenities of Playa Blanca are an easy, short walk. There is however a large car park for visitors who wish to hire a car to explore further afield.
Playa Blanca is more suited to relaxing holidays although many watersports, including scuba diving are available locally and boat trips run from the harbour to the nearby Papagayo Beach which is said to be the best in the Canaries.

The Lanzarote region
Lanzarote is the most easterly of the Canary Islands and only 60 miles from Africa. It shares the same latitude as Florida and enjoys year round sunshine, making it ideal for winter or summer breaks.

There has been careful development for tourism with no high rise permitted and new buildings blended into existing architecture.
Playa Blanca is a quiet resort which has grown from the original fishing village at the southern tip of the island. There is a large new yacht marina wth many quality restaurants and shops to supplement those in the town.
Timafaya National Park is a short drive away with breathtaking views of the volcanos and camel rides. Further afield are attractions which vary from wine growing to cactus gardens.
Playa Blanca / Casas del Sol area
Casas del Sol is a beautifully maintained bungalow complex situated in a prime position in the delightful resort of Playa Blanca, just across from the harbour where local fishing boats ply their trade and the ferry departs for Fuerteventura.
The complex features a reception, heated swimming pools (one children's) and two tennis courts. It also has adequate car parking making the complex a car free zone and safe for children and pedestrians.

Further details indoors: Casa Felice is an excellently appointed 2-bedroom (1 double, second with 2 single beds), 2-bathroom bungalow. There is a modern kitchen, together with TV/Sky, CD player/DVD, fans, hair dryers and washing machine. Linen, towels and cleaning are included.
Insect screens are fitted to all windows and there is a safe for valuables.
Further details outdoors: There is a large south facing patio with views to Fuertaventura, complete with loungers, chairs, tables and BBQ.
There are well stocked, established gardens surrounding a large heated swimming pool and children’s pool. Other sporting facilities include tennis courts and boule area.
There is internet access at reception, together with a small shop for essentials.

Changeover day is normally Thursday but we will try to accommodate other days if possible.
