About the home

Villa en La Roca is located in the exclusive devlopment of Las Coloradas, a few minutes drive from the resort of Playa Blance. The large detached villa is comfortably furnished to a high standard and set in a peaceful location which will suit both families and couples looking for a relaxing holiday. The bedrooms and lounge have shutters and open out onto the terrace/pool area , the private solar heated swimming pool has a roman end with gentle steps for ease of access, there is also an outdoor shower. A chimney Barbecue is situated on the spacious terrace along with sunloungers, table and chairs. The villa has been equipped and furnished with holidaymakers in mind and you will find everything you need for a perfect holiday. Our friends who live nearby will be available if there is anything you need to make your holiday one to remember!

The Lanzarote region

It's not hard to get away from it all on Lanzarote!
Lanzarote is the most exclusive and unusual of the seven Canary Islands. Situated off the west coast of Africa, you will find a wonderful combination of subtropical heat with cooling breezes. The yearly rainfall is very low and therefore Lanzarote has the ideal weather throughout the year. Spend days visiting the quaint fishing village of El Golfo with the natural green lagoon and the delightful seafood restaurants, the valley of a 1,000 palms at Haria, La Graciosa island, Cueva de los Verdes (Green caves), Timanfaya mountain, the list is endless or spend the day simply relaxing on one of the many beaches or by the pool. There is something for everyone!

The Playa Blanca / Las Coloradas area

The villa is located within a 10/15 minute walk from the fabulous Papagayo Beaches, a few minutes walk from the villa in the village of Las Coloradas (El Pueblo) you will find a playground for the children, restaurants, a supermarket, a couple of bars along with a 5 star hotel and a selection of shops, the seafront promenade which is also a few minutes stroll from the villa takes you to the beautiful Marina Rubicon where there are fine restaurants, designer shops and waterfront bars. Further along the promenade will bring you to Dorada Beach which is a lovely sheltered bay with watersports and cafes and bars located nearby, carry on walking along the promenade will bring you into the centre of Playa Blanca where you find an assortment of bars and restaurants.


Playa Blanca is situated on the south coast of the island and has the best of the weather and sunshine. It has been tastefully developed and has spectacular beaches, in particular the famous Papagayo and Playa Dorada beaches, which are within easy reach of the villa. It has a wonderful pedestrianised shopping area as well as many seaside bars, cafes and restaurants. The harbour where you can catch the ferry to Fuerteventura is a short drive away from the villa

Local activities include cycling, diving, fishing, golf, mountain biking, paragliding, sailing, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, water skiing and wind surfing.

Lanzarote airport is named Arrecife, the flight usually takes around 3.5 hours from the U.K.
Villa en la Roca is approximately 30 minutes drive from the airport.
There are many car hire companies located at the airport, you can book directly on their websites, details of a few car hire companies are Cabrera Medina (www.cabreramedina.com), Direct Car (www.directcar.es) Auto reisen (www.autoreisen.es) or alternatively you can pick up a taxi from the airport to the villa.
Direct flights are available from the main flight operators including Monarch, Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2.com, Thomson, First choice, Thomas Cook. The main flight day for Lanzarote is Thursday but there are also flights operate on various other days, it is best to check with your airport of departure.

We throroughly enjoyed our holidays on Lanzarote - The villa was just perfect for our needs (4 adults - family). Always a welcome haven to return to after a day's sightseeing. It is situated in a pretty and quiet neighbourhood - just a short walk from the Papagayo beaches, supermarket (shopping area) as well as the promenade which leads you quickly to Marina Rubicon and further into town. The villa is very well kept and clean, offering all the mod-cons we would expect! The outside area is very nicely landscaped and the patios are real suntraps. I highly recommend it, we have already booked a return visit!

Had a great holiday at villa en la roca, the villa is situated in a lovely quiet area of playa blanca, very close to the marina rubicon and the papagayo beaches. The villa was very clean on arrival and well maintained by the owners, the pool was great - very private. We would highly recommend a holiday there and we will certainly be going back ourselves.

My wife and I have just returned from a great holiday at Villa en la Roca, the villa was cleaned to a very high standard and had everything we needed. We were surprised how spacious the villa, terrace/garden were, very private and ideal for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Just a few minutes walk from the villa were a couple of very good restaurants, we particulary enjoyed casa nicholas so much so we went twice during our holiday, there is a supermarket a 10 minute walk from the villa but we found the supermarket at the marina rubicon (20 minutes walk) was better as it offered a fresh meat counter for our bbqs at the villa. Deborah was very helpful with any questions we had when booking the holiday and everything was just as described on the website. We will be returning again soon and have already recommended it to all our friends and family.

We had a really quiet and peacefull two weeks in Villa en Roca just as we wanted, the villa was just as described on the website which we booked it from and neither of us has any complaints apart from we had to leave when our two weeks were up. Thanks to David, Jean, and Debbie for all their help when needed. We would most certainly go back to the villa again and hope to do so. Extra bonus is the new bus service which leaves from Las Coloradas and takes you into Playa Blanca town in five minutes..cost one euro 15 cents.

We had a very relaxing 10 nights at the villa. Its the first time we have stayed in a villa and would certainly recommend this one to our family and friends as the cleanliness was second to none. The equipment and facilities provided were excellent and the location was great, nice quiet area but would recommend a car for getting around in and exploring the island. Thanks to David, Jean and Debra for their help and advice. We hope to return again soon as we really like Playa Blanca and would not consider staying anywhere else now !
