About the home

This modern villa is set in a relaxing location with beautiful mountain views and a short walk to the beach. The villa is well equipped with all the comforts from home. It has a large garden which has been beautifully planted surrounded by a volcanic wall. It has a large rectangular swimming pool (7x3) with steps. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed, fitted wardrobes and en suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 has twin beds and fitted wardrobes, TV and DVD player and playstation unit. Bedroom 3 has a single bed with the option of a pull out bed for a sixth person, it also has fitted wardrobes. The lounge has patio doors opening onto the terrace where you have an alfresco dining area, seating for 6. Also there are 6 sun loungers around the pool and a built in barbecue. The lounge is fully equipped with TV, BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, ITV2, CHANNEL 4 and lots more, DVD, CD etc. There are numerous restaurants overlooking the sea in Playa Blanca. A short walk along the seafront is Puerto Rubicon where you can enjoy top quality restaurants by the marina.

The kitchen is fully fitted including kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board and clothes airer.
We are also providing our guests with beach towels saving you on luggage space.
Our villa will be maintained to a high standard and should any problems arise during your stay there will be 24hr assistance provided by a reputable company.
We do have a strict non smoking policy inside the villa but smoking is permitted outside and ash trays are provided.
All bedrooms have either fitted or stand alone double wardrobes and ample hangers, including child's clothes hangers. All bedrooms can accommodate a child's cot if required.

There is plenty of space within the grounds of the villa.
There is an outside eating area wih table and chairs for 6.
There are 6 sunloungers arranged around the pool for guests use only.

Transfers to the airport can be arranged, these are paid for locally.
Any extra's you may need can usually be supplied.

Conditions

Smoking is allowed outside the villa, ashtray's are supplied, please do not leave butts on the floor or in plant pots.
Refundable breakages deposit of £100 required on final payment, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection). Please note that for larger groups the breakages deposit may be increased to up to £200.
25% of rental fee due six weeks before your stay to secure booking.

The Lanzarote region

Playa Blanca is the most southern resort on the island and subsequently benefits from the maximum sunshine available. Playa Blanca is a very family friendly resort and a good base for a holiday on Lanzarote as you are close to many attractions.Tias is famous for its wine, producing some very good quality local wines. Costa Teguise has an 18 hole golf course set among the volcanic hills. It is also a very good place to go wind surfing as the seas there are very rough and it is the windy part of the island. Also there is a great fun- filled waterpark there too. Puerto Del Carmen to me is the nightlife capital of Lanzarote, there are loads of clubs, bars and restaurants on about a mile and a half strip. Peurto Del Carmen also has an 18 hole golf course. There are lots of trips to go on such as : the national park (that's a good one), a quad bike safari, Teguise market, camel riding, wine tasting, a glass bottom boat trip, you can even take a trip to Fuerteventura with your car or as a foot passenger. It only cost 45 euros for 1 car and 2 persons the last time we went. We found the best tour company to use is Last Minute Travel, the reps are English speaking, they really look after you especially if you have young children. We have used them for the North Tour trip which takes you all around the top of the Island, through Haria and the Valley of a Thousand Palms and stopping at the Guinate Tropical Park which was lovely, especially the Meer Cats !
We would also recommend a visit to the Green Caves and Jameos Del Agua, all inspired by the local artist Cesar Manrique.

The Playa Blanca / Costa Papagayo area

Playa Blanca has an excellent selection of bars and restaurants located on the seafront and around the old harbour. There is also a pedestrianized town with many shops. There are 3 beaches in Playa Blanca. Playa Flamingo is to the right of the harbour with a sandy beach. A small beach in the main town and Playa Dorada is the closest to our villa, just a 15 - 20 minute walk. It runs for about half a mile with soft sand and clear blue waters ideal for snorkeling. You can also hire jet skis and go on the banana boat from there. From Playa Blanca you can walk along the beautiful seafront promenade which leads you to the new International Marina Rubicon with stylish shops/bars & bowling alley. Just a 5 minute drive away are the Papagayo beaches, these are the best beaches on the island with their clear blue waters ideal for scuba diving or just soaking up the sun.

My family and I stayed at Villa Ripley during the Feb 08 half term.Our intructions from the owners to the villa was very precise and getting there from the airport in our car was no problem at all.Even with my wife directing!
When we walked through the door we were honestly amazed! The Villa was so beautiful and well equipped that I would describe it as better than home from home! The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotless.
My family consisted of two adults and three children and we where very comfortable.The owners provided playstation with games, cable tv, stereo/cd player, dvd with a superb dvd library with the latest films, books,info on the Islands..there was nothing missing..
This was my third trip to Lanzarote previously staying in Guime. Playa Blanca in my opinion has more class than anywhere else on the Island.
Even though we were out everyday, the children would pester us to go 'home' to enjoy the villa's pool and bath like temperature.(best pool ive been in and ive been in a few).
Honestly I dont know the owners! and im not one for giving praise or doing reviews, but credit where credits due Villa Ripley is luxury at an amazing price, couldnt fault it and the effort the owners have made makes you feel right at home.
If you are thinking of staying there you WILL love it and want to go back as we are next Feb!!!

I just want to say a quick thank you on behalf of myself and family for making our holiday so enjoyable! The villa was home from home, beautiful decor, fantastic facilities, great location and brilliant DVDs!!! Your neighbours also made us feel extremely welcome and were very helpful with their knowledge of the island etc.. "We really enjoyed our week in Lanzarote and at Villa Ripley. We arrived at night, however, the directions were clear and made it easy to find the Villa and the welcome pack provided did just the trick, especially as it was New Years Eve! We found the holiday thoroughly relaxing, the Villa is spacious and well appointed with every thing you need to make a home away from home. It's close enough to all amenities, yet away from all the hustle & bustle of the resorts. The weather was very reasonable for winter with temperatures in the mid 20's C, and with the pool heating the both the adults and kids were in it for hours every day.

Firstly, the directions to the Villa were great; we found it ok without getting lost! Thank you very much for these. We have only good things to report about your Villa as there was absolutely nothing to complain about! We even had a bottle of wine awaiting us when we arrived, which was nicely chilled in the fridge along with the glasses and bottle opener!
Our first reaction when we walked through the door of the Villa was ‘Wow’ what a fantastic place! It is very well furnished to a high standard, very comfortable and very clean. Everything we needed was provided including beach towels. The pool was superb, very well kept and used everyday, especially by our daughter Maya! The location was great, not too far away from the town but in a very quiet residential area. Overall we were really pleased with our choice of villa and location. Playa Blanca, in my opinion is the best resort on the island. We really enjoyed Lanzarote and had a fantastic holiday and hopefully, will return again in the future. Thanks very much, you should feel really proud with the way the villa is furnished and maintained. I love your choice of bedding - looks very sophisticated! If it was my villa I would be very reluctant to rent it out! I hope everybody who rents it in the future will look after it as we did.

Villa Ripley does not fail to delight and Dave and Karen have been very modest in their description of it. It is superbly appointed, meticulously looked after and now a real family favourite. The children especially loved the pool which was perfectly heated on our first visit and wonderfully cooling on our second. Villa Ripley is located a 15 minute walk from amenities, but that makes it more relaxing. However Rental Car is advisable if you take children or elderly.
Villa Ripley was very clean, comfortable and homely with virtually all mod cons.
When we were there the temperature peaked one night at a record 45 degrees Centigrade (112 degrees Farenheit)
The kids enjoyed the lovely pool and spent a lot of time on the Playstation! We thoroughly enjoyed all our outings and would highly recommend the Papagayo Beach to all but the disabled or elderly (steep climb).
The caretakers who live nearby are a lovely and helpful couple who can recommend an excellent seafront restaurant! (We went there three times!)

Dont know where to start, this was our 3rd trip to Lanzarote and the best! the effort you put into you lovely Villa was superb, the books, DVDs,inflatables it was all excellent.
Any gripes? you must be kidding!
My family and I loved it...1st time at play blanca and it was just what the doctor ordered..
We WILL be booking again for the same time next year (Feb half term)
The pool was an absolute joy..was a bit worried it wasnt going to be warm enough for the kids(had some real Ice buckets before) but it was great.
Honestly guys cant praise it enough, it makes you treat the Villa like its your own home..(felt obliged to clean up every day!)
