The Lanzarote region
Lanzarote lying about 95 Km off the west coast of Africa and 1100 Km south west of the Spanish peninsula, and is the most unusual of the Canarian Islands. This position ensures more days of sunshine and fewer days of rain than the other Canarian islands, and year round high temperatures. In the summer, temperatures can be in the 90's, although cooling breezes make it much more pleasant and comfortable in comparison to the Mediterranean , whilst temperature rarely fall below 70 in the winter- ideal for sunbathing and sport during the day and pleasant in the evenings for relaxing over a leisurely meal or drink at one of the many bars and restaurants.
The island has almost 300 volcanoes and is famous for its dramatic lunar landscape. Views of volcanic mountains, picon covered fields and rocky coastlines are broken up by a large number of beautiful golden sandy beaches and an amazing amount of well attended greenery and agriculture. Building work on the island is very tightly controlled and there is no high rise, with white washed villas predominating. Advertising boards are also not allowed.
Playa Blanca is an upmarket resort and enjoys the the best of the weather on the island. It boasts many fine golden sandy beaches and a beautiful promenade lined with a whole range of cafes and wonderful restaurants to suit all tastes. The stunning new marina has a host of waterfront cafes, shops and restaurants. The pedestrianised village has supermarkets and many excellent shops, and there is a market held every Saturday morning. Regular boat trips run from the harbour, as well as ferries making the short 20 minute trip to Fuerteventura.
Faro Park is a fully complete development, it is a residential area and so enjoys a tranquility not found in tourist areas. There is a small row of shops in Faro Park which will serve your basic needs, it has a good shop, a few local bars and two or three good restaurants. We are approximately 50 metres from the shoreline both these pictures are taken from our second floor terrace. As you can see we have great views to the coast and to the mountains.

"We didn't want to leave!"
We loved this villa; this is our 3rd year of staying in the Canary Islands for New Year and it didn't disappoint. Faro Park is a few miles outside Playa Blanca, which as we were two families (two… More

"Clean, spacious and comfortable Villa"
We had a lovely one week stay at Villa Del Dos Hijos. It is very well looked after in a nicely kept area with similar Villas close by, we felt very safe. It was well equipped, spotlessly clean and very spacious inside and out. My husband and myself stayed there with our daughter her husband, and our three grandchildren aged 18 months, 3 & 6 year olds. The pool is lovely as it has steps instead of a ladder which was nice for the children and it was also lovely and warm. You do need a car, but we are not great at walking very far, there were a few Cafe's (which we had some nice fry up breakfasts and Fish & Chips) and a Supermarket just about 5-10 minutes walk away, there are more choices of Restaurants in Playa Blanca, we also had some nice meals at the Marina and also Playa Flamingo. We would certainly return to this Villa and couldn't fault anything.

"This is the villa I always hope for, but never get - so glad I found it!"
Travelled as a family of 4 with 2 adult kids. Villa is very spacious, very clean with everything you could wish for to make a perfect holiday. Master bedroom is lovely with huge balcony, and large en-suite with separate shower. Great outdoor eating and lounging spaces with big pool area and 6 loungers. Pretty cactus garden.
Location was perfect - very quiet - you can hear the waves crashing in whilst drifting off to sleep at night or relaxing by the pool. Very close to the coastal path with very scenic rock formations and amazing waves. Great walk to lighthouse, or right into Playa Blanca if you feel energetic. Walking distance to some lovely restaurants, couple of bars, small supermarket and a fab bakery - but centre of Playa Blanca short drive or bus ride away.
We highly recommend this property and had a lovely time there.

"Very impressive villa"
Clean, well equipped and spacious villa. Party of 5 spent a very relaxing week here in January. The villa was a really comfortable place to hang out and the pool was fab, particularly when the weather was so glorious.
The master bedroom upstairs is really impressive, but the downstairs bedrooms are quite small and both twin bedded, so perhaps not the most suitable for 3 couples. However there are really nice outdoor seating and dining areas, so overall the villa has a spacious feel. Would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful villa. Everything as stated on website. Lots of room. Very quiet area. Car advisable but not essential as there is a small shopping area with two supermarkets, two restaurants, a breakfast bar and a pub within walking distance and there is a bus service available to Playa Blanca centre. Just loved it, especially the sea view walk. Will definitely go again.

"Ideal holiday rental, lovely quiet location right near the sea."
This was our second visit to Playa Blanca staying at Faro Park. First time in a smaller villa a couple a streets down. The villa was equipped with everything that we needed and the villa management company were friendly and efficient. The villa feels like a holiday rental rather than a home from home but that's not a derogatory comment. There is a great patisserie a short walk away to get croissants for breakfast and a small supermarket and local restuarants. I would say a car is must in this location to take advantage of Playa Blanca.
