Home description
Completed early 2005, Casa Bocayna stands in private, walled gardens in a small development of privately owned villas called La Goleta.
The villa is furnished to a very high standard and enjoys the benefits of a private, electrically heated swimming pool set in a large terrace with secure walled gardens.
La Goleta is situated at the foot of Montana Roja, a stunning red mountain which is an extinct volcano. A short walk will allow access to several bars, restaurants, 2 small supermarkets and 2 coffee bars so there are plenty of places to go in the evening without having to drive.
There is also a bus service that provides easy access to all the local amenities. The loop route stops a few hundred metres from Casa Bocayna and runs every 30 minutes from 06:50 to 22:20. The fare is €1.15 regardless of where you get on or off.
The resorts of Playa Flamingo and Playa Blanca are only a couple of minutes away by car or bus and the fabulous beaches of Papagaya can be reached in about 10 minutes by car or the furthest reach of the bus route.
The Playa Blanca area boasts many fine restaurants so you can spend many nights at Casa Bocayna without dining at the same one twice, although we know there are many you'll want to return to. There is a list of recommended restaurants in the villa complete with telephone numbers should you wish to book in advance.

The Lanzarote region
Lanzarote is the most Northerly of the Canary Islands. Situated only 60 miles from the coast of the Northern Sahara, it enjoys an almost perfect climate all the year round.
Playa Blanca / Montana Roja area
There are several bars and restaurants within a 3 - 15 minute walk. The coastal area around La Goleta is rocky and without a beach in the immediate vicinity. The rocky costline has a block promenade allowing for very enjoyable walks above the waves crashing on the rocks below. The sunset from the South West tip is absolutely stunning.
Playa Blanca is an old fishing village and provides many shops, restaurants and bars. There are fabulous views over the bay from the many waterfront restaurants.
Marina Rubicon is just a short way around the coast from Playa Blanca and boats some of the island's best restaurants and exclusive shops.
How to get there
Flights from the UK to Arrecife (Lanzarote's airport) take 3.5 - 4 hours. The villa is approximately 30 minutes drive from the airport and we can help you with car hire, or arrange transfers by minibus for you if you wish not to have a car.
The majority of flights from the UK are on Thursdays and this is why the majority of property on Lanzarote is only available Thursday to Thursday. We are happy for you to arrive on any day that is convenient for you and we are also happy to rent for any period.
