About the home

The villa has plenty of private terraces and luxury sun-beds for sun worshippers. There are tables and chairs for outdoor dining and the lounge and both master suites open onto the main covered terrace. A private, heated pool provides entertainment for both adults and children. Villa Cassia is located only a 5 minute walk to the secluded Playa Flamingo beach which is perfect for families with children.

There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops and access to the sea front promenade which leads to the harbour, town centre and further on to the Marina Rubicon with it's designer boutiques and twice-weekly market. There is also a bus stop a minute's walk from the villa which provides cheap and convenient transport throughout Playa Blanca.

Facilities

Further details indoors:
3 fully tiled luxury bathrooms, each equipped with full size baths, bidet, toilet and 2 out of the three have separate shower cubicles. Beautifully soft Egyptian cotton towels are provided for your use. Each bedroom has plenty of storage including large walk-in cupboards, wardrobes and shelving. The 2 master bedrooms which lead onto the terracing have kingsize beds with 400 threadcount Pima cotton hotel bedding and designer cushions and throws. The third bedroom contains 2 single beds and is further away from the living area and terrace making it safer and ideal for children.
All bedrooms have ceiling fans for comfort during summer months. Each window and French door benefits from shutters which have mosquito netting incorporated. There is an Ipod docking station with speakers and remote control for your use. There are plenty of books, dvds and games and also a box of toys for younger children.

Further details outdoors:
The swimming pool is beautifully shaped with Roman steps at the shallow end which is perfect for children or non-swimmers. There is an outdoor pool shower. The built-in barbecue and table and chairs on the covered terrace is ideal for 'al fresco' dining. The property has it's own private parking space in a driveway and also has additional parking outside. A variety of colourful flowers, cacti and trees surround the villa and terraces making it a perfect setting for sunbathing, swimming and dining with family and friends.

The terraces are south facing and enjoy sun all day long. The high walls and foliage provide excellent privacy without being cut off from all the desired amenities nearby.

We have an agreement with the hotel across the way for our villa guests to have the opportunity to use their gym, tennis courts and crazy golf for a small charge. They will provide equipment as well.

Further details

The villa is run on our behalf by a management company who are on hand to deal with any queries and will visit you at least once to introduce themselves. They are on call 24 hours a day for any emergencies. Clean linen and towels are provided once a week and on a 10 day stay there is a mid week clean and change of all linens. The swimming pool is cleaned twice a week.

Conditions

Deposit of 50% of rental fee required on booking. The remainder to be paid 8 weeks prior to departure. Cot and highchair available free of charge on request.
Prices are for 4 persons and first child under 2 is free of charge. Each additional guest incurs an extra £ 50 per person per week.

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote is the most easterly of the seven Canary Islands. It has a wonderful all year round sunny climate and very little rainfall. It enjoys a lovely breeze which makes it more comfortable for sunbathing and activities. Lanzarote boasts many beautiful sandy beaches and an almost "alien" landscape due to the number of volcanoes. The people of Lanzarote are very proud of their famous artist/sculptor Cezar Manrique whose very distinctive work is exhibited throughout the island.

The Canary Islands have the rich flora as well as varied fauna and also include bird species from the continents of Africa and Europe. The marine life comprises of a collection from the Mediterranean and North Atlantic.

The Playa Blanca / Montana Roja area

The most celebrated festival by residents as well as tourists from other parts of the world is the February carnival. Popular outdoor activities for the people in these islands are underwater photography and scuba diving.

The Playa Dorada and very famous Papagayo beaches are well worth a visit. As is the beautiful Marina Rubicon with its twice weekly market and designer shops and restaurants.
Take a day trip on the ferry from the harbour in Playa Blanca over to Fuerteventura and experience the miles of white sand beaches.

Take time out to experience the variety of different cuisines offered by the local restaurants around the outskirts of the villa. There are plenty to choose from only a short walk away. Don't worry about having a bit too much of the fabulous local wines as no driving is necessary!

The villa is easily reached from Arrecife airport by taxi or hired car.
A taxi costs between 35-40 euros. The journey takes approx. 30 minutes. Car hire can be booked in advance or on arrival. I can recommend companies to use on confirmation of booking and will provide a clear map and instructions for your use. It is very straightforward as the roads on the island are really good. “Really lovely!” The villa was perfect with the three bedrooms having ensuite bathrooms making it perfect for two families. There was building work going on in front of the villa which didn't impact the holiday one bit. You could vaguely hear some noise but this soon became background noise. Really lovely villa, lovely management staff, good location. I'd definitely return!
