About the home
We have always had aspirations of owning our own holiday home; so the natural beauty of the island made our decision to buy in Lanzarote a whole lot easier. We purchased our 3 bed Villa in April 2010 and following an intense refurbishment programme which allowed us to put our 'stamp' on the Villa, we were able to put Villa Lola onto the letting market in mid July 2010. We really do hope that all who hire her enjoy their time there as much as we do!

We believe that Villa Lola has all the essential facilities one would expect of a luxury villa such as technical appliances/private pool/hot tub/pool table & modern furniture but it also boasts 250 m2 of artificial grass - making it a winner with the kids!!!
We believe that one of the benefits Villa Lola provides as a holiday home is that due to the nature of its finishes/facilities (namely that of the artificial grass, pool table and basket ball net) it encouraged our children to become more socially active i.e. making friends with other Villa owners children and other holiday makers children staying at other near by Villas as they would like to invite them around for a game of pool and/or basket ball etc..
The Lanzarote region
Lanzarote is situated just 79 miles off the coast of Africa and is the most easterly of the Canary Islands. The island is 37 miles (60km) long and 12 miles (20 km) wide, making it the fourth largest island in the Canaries.
Lanzarote enjoys a mild dry climate with average daytime temperatures ranging from about 21°C in January to 29°C in August. Annual rainfall is just 140mm (5.5 inches). This makes Lanzarote the perfect year-round destination.
Amongst the many stunning Volcanic features of Lanzarote is the longest Volcanic Tunnel in the world, the Atlantida Tunnel, which is over 7 km long and includes the La Cueva de los Verdes and Jameos del Agua.
Despite the Volcanic nature of the island, Lanzarote has several beautiful white beaches such as at Playa Blanca and Papagayo.
Local authority regulations on the amount and style of development mean that there is no billboard advertising and no high rise buildings in Lanzarote (with the exception of the Grand Hotel in Arrecife).
The Playa Blanca / Faro Park area
There are a host of things to do in Playa Blanca as well as the obvious attractions of the beaches. The promenade is well worth taking as it links both sides of the resort. It allows you to take in most of the (sea-front) sites of Playa Blanca as well as spectacular Ocean views across the Bocaina Straits to Fuerteventura.
There are some good seafood restaurants on the beach promenade overlooking the central Playa Blanca beach and out over the Atlantic across to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura. Certainly a great place to spend a long lunch in good company.

We loved Villa Lola. The property was immaculate and had all the facilities that you could possibly want or need for a relaxing holiday in the sun. The owners had thought of everything from the egg cups to the washing machine, it was a real home from home - except our home doesn't have a heated pool or jacuzzi!! The owners are a pleasure to deal with and make the booking process so easy. It is in a lovely quiet area which suited us perfectly but is in a short walking distance to a couple of small supermarkets, a couple of bars and a restaurant. We had a lovely meal in the Italian restaurant. We would recommend you have a car though to explore the other parts of the island or even to go to the marina or beach as Playa Blanca is quite well spread out. The sunsets from the lighthouse are superb as is a walk up Montana Roja. Well worth it for the views. We have been to Lanzarote a few times now and Villa Lola has been the best villa to date. So much so that we have just booked to go back again later this year. Says it all really. Highly recommended. |
