The Canary Islands region
Playa Blanca originally a small fishing village is fast becoming one of the island's finest tourist areas. Basking in all year round warm sunshine with clear blue seas, Playa Blanca is a holidaymaker's paradise. There are superb views of the mountains and the islands of Lobos and Fuerteventura across the water. If it's lazy days in the sun you are looking for, this is the ideal place. Playa Blanca's beaches are small but perfectly formed and benefit from excellent nearby amenities such as the shops, bars and restaurants.
Playa Blanca is fantastic for families who want to spend the day at the beach and their nights enjoying fine food at one of many international restaurants set on the golden sand sea front.
Los Calamares in a short walk into the centre of town and so is very convenient for all the amenities.
From the harbour at Playa Blanca, ferries cross several times a day to Fuerteventura. It is possible to go to the island as a foot passenger or with a car and the 45-minute crossing is good fun in itself as you can sit on the open-air terrace and enjoy the ocean. One of the most beautiful beaches on the island (and some people say in all of Spain) is in close proximity to Playa Blanca. Papagayo beach is a must-see place for anyone staying in Playa Blanca

"stay at villa casa b"
villa was ok as a base very close to shops and town. it was clean and tidy but a little tired looking in places. some of the furiture had been updated, but outside ones could have been changed too,. new cushions on the sunbeds would be an advantage, pool and hot tube very clean . A little bit of cosmatic painting could also be done to improve the look, also a few more cooking items would also be good . i stayed in a villa further down the resort in aug and think i got spoiled it had everything you needed to do home cooking. i know you dont go away to cook but it was good if you wanted to that you had everything you needed.
In all our hoilday was lovely and would use this villa again .

"Great location, convenient for town but quiet area"
we stayed in Casa B (also known as Villa Blanca) in March 2013 and were very pleased with the villa. It is spacious, well appointed and has most things you need on holiday. There are mosquito nets on all of the windows which means you can open windows at night without having to go to sleep with a rolled up newspaper in your hand! The town is only a few minutes walk as is the ferry port if you want to explore Fuertaventura. The pool and hot tub are excellent but look out for the mossies if you use the tub at night! There are lots of good restaurants both in town and along at the marina - don't expect authentic Spanish food as most places cater for tourism but to a reasonable standard. We would certainly pay a return visit to this villa and would recommend it.
