Les Quatre Vents is a self catering gite offering spacious accommodation in a peaceful location within 10 minutes of the stunning Northern Brittany coast. Located just 10 minutes from the nearest beach at St Jacut and barely 15 minutes to the beautiful sandy beaches of St Cast to name just two. A number of activities available locally include: Golf, Horse riding, Fishing and Walking. Les Quatre Vents is just 6 miles from Dinard and 9 miles from the medieval riverside town of Dinan.

Placed in an ideal position, the gite offers something for all, being able to access local amenities either by bike or car. There are local weekly markets in villages and towns nearby.

The property offers holidays for both families and couples and any who are looking for a golf break. We can help making recommendations of where you can play.

The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region

Dinan: The famous medieval city with its port, old town, castle and gardens.

Dinard: Charming 19th century seaside resort, lively all year long.

Saint Cast: A lovely coastal town with long fabulous beaches that streatch for miles with its newly completed enclosed port area.

Saints Malo: The Corsaire City with a special atmosphere all of its own. The walled city is a must, have a look around the many shops and whilst there, lunch on a crepe and galette . Visit the Second World War gun emplacements.Also locally there is Le Grand Aquarium which is highly recommended.
Cancale: For fresh oysters
Cap Frehel and Fort La Latte: Where 70 metre cliffs overlooking the sea provide breathtaking scenery.
Erquy: A typical quaint fishing port and a typical Breton cape.

Mont Saint Michel and its bay.
Rennes: the capital of Brittany.
Becherel: The city of books.
Saint Brieuc: Centre of the Armour coast and the cultural life.

The Plancoet / Crehen area

Plancouet is a small town with plenty of shops including Hyper U where all your needs for your holiday can be met. There are also banks, bakers and bars.There is a local doctors surgery opposite Hyper U and a chemist in town. Internet can be accessed free of charge in the town square at a local bar. All you need to do is to purchase a drink!

For the ladies, there are two superior leather good shops where you can see the goods being made, i.e shoes, handbags, etc.

Plancoet is a leading source of mineral water. You can do a circuit of Plancoet on foot visiting the various parks. The Arguenon river runs through Plancoet and there are canoeing facilities.

Finally there is a tourist information office where English is spoken and you can pick any information on the surrounding area. There is also an abundance of information in the gite.

Brittiany Ferries from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth. Distances from St Malo is 17 Miles whilst Caen and Cherbourg are about 120 miles.

Ryan Air flights to Dinard flying from East Midlands and Stansted. 20 minute drive from the airport. Car Hire is available at the Airport.

“Excellent accomodation, spectacular views and well equipped.” This Gite is a fantastic relaxing way to spend your holiday. It is very well equipped and has everything that adults and children could possibly need whilst away. The views from both front and rear elevations across open farmland are stunning. The garden is also a useful size for family barbeques and is a real sun trap. The games room is also an excellent facility to have and kept our children entertained. Although we didn't use the bikes very often, they were there if we felt energetic ! We would certainly consider re-visiting as it is a complete package with everything needed for a great family break in an area with great beaches and local historic towns that are well worth a visit.

“Great choice for a restful holiday” Les Quatre Vents is situated in a quiet location in the countryside but close to all amenities and within easy reach of Dinan, St Cast and local beaches. On arriving at Les Quatre Vents we found all the facilities required to enjoy our holiday. I.e. nice lounge with Sky T.V. fully fitted kitchen and very comfortable beds. The large games room was a good addition. There was a lovely view from the house of the countryside and the two cows across the road. The welcome from the keyholders and the correspondance from the owner was excellent. Response: Thanks for the kind words. They mean a lot to us. We hope to see you again.

“Wonderful Location for a Peaceful Relaxing Holiday” Perfect property for relaxation and for exploring local area. Set in a peaceful location, but 10 minutes from some wonderful local beaches. Close to Dinan and St Malo, which are great to explore with some good restaurants. 3 good sized double berooms, lovely garden and great for friends and family. “Great for kids, good location, quiet” In a fairly rural setting with outlook over fields, this is in a nice part of Brittany only 10 mins or so from coast (great beach at St Cast Guildo). The house is not the prettiest gite I have stayed in and is a little let down by fact that the balcony overlooks the driveway/front rather than the back where the sun sets over the garden. It's a great base for getting out and about rather than a house for lounging and sitting around in: the garden is not picturesque, but a good play space for kids. This is the really good feature of the house - the garaging/cellar is a very good games room with lots of bikes to borrow, snooker, ping pong, table football and beach equipment. Kids loved it! Otherwise, the house is clean and well stocked with DVDs, books and board games: the decor is a little dated but the rooms are good sizes with ample storage. The owner is very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. Would recommend to families with teenagers and older children.

“Wonderful location - and much more!” We arrived at Dinard Airport and the gite is only 15 mins drive. The weather was beautiful - hot and sunny throughout our stay. The gite was lovely - so peaceful and quiet. From the kitchen you look out the window and you can see the cows in the field opposite. 15 mins away there are beaches to die for. Miles of sand and little coves, small shops to wander round. The supermarket is only 15 mins away, too, and it was huge! Very clean. They stock everything you would want. Even if you eat out every night in one of the many restaurants a short drive away, it is nice to go in the supermarket just to have a look round. All in all, our week was very relaxing and we would certainly recommend it to family and friends.
