About the home

Plan de la Tour, Near St Tropez and Ste Maxime. Set in the unspoilt rural village of Pland de la Tour, South of France, with inexpensive restaurants and well stocked shops.

Conveniently located for exploring St Tropez, the Maures Mountains, the Riviera and the Provence.

Its 5 Miles or so from the beaches of Ste Maxime with St Tropez a short ferry crossing across the bay to avoid high season traffic or another 15 minutes by car in the quieter months. A lovely holiday location offering sun, sea, peace but night-life nearby if wanted.

Thursday morning local produce market. Aqualand is 5 minutes away.

The house has loads of books, DVD's evan videos if you remember what that are, there is something for everybody. Some board games, dominos, cards.

Its home from home every thing you need to make your stay more welcoming. Also for the beach there are children's beach toys, inflatables, chairs, mats ect.

The accommodation comprises of First floor has two spacious double bedrooms with views from the main bedroom balcony over the Maures and pool and the 2nd bedroom overlooking the Maures Mountains.(Sleeps 7) 1 Double bed, double bed with single bunk bed above, sofa bed in the living area. A new kitchen with dishwasher, table's and chairs inside and out. Bathroom with separate toilet. TV & DVD player, TV with video. Bathroom with shower (bedding and towels are available at extra charge). Ground floor living area and kitchen.Sun terraces to front
The Centre of the village is a short walk with two patisseries, general stores and small restaurants. Beaches can be found a short distance away in Sainte-Maxine and Saint Tropez.

Nice airport
The property is approximately an hours driver from Nice airport following signs for Canne & Saint Tropez .Easyjet and Bmibaby offer cheap and regular flights into Nice from various locations within the UK.
Also British Airways from London City airport have good offers.

Car hire can be booked either via Easyjet or direct with a number off operators at Nice Airport. We would recommend booking prior to arrival to ensure availability.

Or Eurostar to France then TGV to Les Arcs or St Raphael then pick up car hire.

“Unforgettable” We live in Canada and usually travel on holidays to the Caribbean to seek sunshine, so a trip to the south of France is a pretty special deal. This was our second time, this time with 2 boys aged 7 and 5. We were looking for a central base from which we could take side trips to Marseille, St Tropez, Cassis, Frejus and all the other neat places along the coast. After a lot of research on the Net, we discovered Plan-de-la-Tour, a quaint village in the hills above the Mediterranean. It was ideally located for our purpose and we would not be surrounded by all the "tourist" trappings. After further research we found Amanda's villa, located just a short walk away from the village centre. It was everything we hoped for. Although on the small side by North American standards, it was very reasonably priced, well equipped, clean and had a small patio at the front where we ate "al fresco" every morning and evening. The villa was exactly as advertised, everything worked and I would highly recommend it to people who are looking for similar type of accommodation. We stayed for two weeks in late May. The pool was open and we (especially the kids) enjoyed it every day. The domaine was very quiet at that time of the year but we met travelers there from England and Germany who also had children which was a bonus. For parents, the village has a school with a nice playground, a big hit with the kids. Plan -de -la -Tour is a charming, village. It's well documented on the Internet so I won't go into detail. It also is a great spot if you want to do some "touring" and a short drive to great beaches in St. Maxime. Great vacation, thank you Amanda...We hope to return soon.

“Fantastic Holiday. Been back 3 times !” We have stayed here for 3 consecutive years from 2009-2011. The first time for 3 weeks & then 4 weeks each time. Les Olivades is a small friendly domaine. There were always a couple of English families there but predominantly other holidaymakers were French,Dutch or German. Everyone was friendly & our son made friends who he has met up with again as a lot of families own their holiday home & so return each year. He was often playing Uno by the pool with a group of French teenagers who all looked after him ( he was 10 at the time). The location of Les Olivades is it's main draw. It takes 2 minutes to walk into Plan de la Tour where you have bakers,butcher,bars,supermarket & a handful of restaurants. It is a small village but has all you need. There are lots of things to see in the area & the boat taxi to St Tropez from St Maxime (10 mins away) is a great way to get to St Tropez & avoid the traffic. You always see on reviews that guests insist that they'll return etc .Well we have. Our son is very sad that we won't be back this year but we just want to try somewhere new. We'll be back again !
