About the home

Pizzo Beach Club Resort is a great place for your vacation. Safe and secure. Sun, sea, sand !!! It has something for everyone.
The development was designed with families in mind. Beautiful landscape walk ways, lots of open space. It has two outdoor swimming pools, an enclosed children’s play ground, a five a side football pitch, tennis courts and fully equipped gym. A cafe/bar, which serves a fantastic breakfast until 11am. Indoor and outdoor terrace restaurant which serves some of the best Calabrian food you will ever taste.
There is a private pathway through the Pine Forrest to the beach; where you will find row after row of sun beds and umbrellas for your private use. What a way to relax and unwind.

I am very proud of my ground floor studio. My wife and I have tried to make it as comfortable as possible. We use the apartment ourselves, whenever we can. We love Calabria. It was always our dream to own a holiday retreat in Italy.
The apartment is personalised by ourselves. It contains everything you would want on vacation.

As you pull off the main road onto the forecourt of Pizzo Beach Club development there is a green reception building, where you will always get a friendly greeting from Rachael. The night security patrol officers also work from here. Access to the development through the main gate is by use of a security pass only. This pass also allows you to access the facilities of the development.
Neighboring the development is 'Club Med', a fully inclusive entertainment resort. It is possible to purchase passes into this complex at reception.
It is also possible to buy tickets for the shuttle bus at reception to take you on excursions to the Historic Town of Pizzo.
Or you could travel on public bus to one of the many towns up and down the Tyrrhenian Sea.

A well-behaved dog is allowed but sorry, no cats.
Strictly no smoking except on the balcony.
Refundable breakages deposit of 150 euro is required , to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
30% of rental fee due to secure booking, remaining 70% due 4 weeks before arrival date.

The Southern Italy / Calabria region

Southern Italy is one of the least explored areas of Europe. Natural unspoilt beauty just waiting to be found. This truly is the real Italy. Few of the locals speak anything but Italian. But tourists just seem to get by. A Phrase book is a must. Remember this is an 'Adventure'.

The Pizzo / Pizzo Beach area

Pizzo is one of the up and coming places of Southern Italy. Easily accessible by plane, train and road. Pizzo is in the Province of Vibo Valentia (Calabria). Situated on an elevated cliff position overlooking the Gulf of Santa Eufemia. It has one of the longest coast lines, 26kl of unspoilt beaches from Pizzo to Lamezia.
Together with the great variety of restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and local historic touristic venues. Pizzo offers great value. Visit the Piazza Della Republic where events and social occasions take place during the summer months. Also many festivals throughout the year making it a great place to visit at any time.
The ‘Piazza della Repubblicca’ is dominated by the 15th Century Aragonese castle which is now a museum and showcase to Joachim Murat, the ex-king of Naples who was shot on 13th Oct 1815 at the castle and was supposedly laid to rest at the Baroque Church of St George; which dates back to 1632 which can also be visited during opening hours.
Pizzo is steeped in history and legends and as you walk around it’s old cobbled streets and weave your way through the houses you feel a sense of belonging, watching history. It is a place to explore and discover; full of tradition and culture.

Traveling to Calabria is getting easier all the time. There are now direct routes from major cities all round Europe, as well as International flights that land at Lamezia airport daily. Pizzo Beach Club is an easy 15 min drive from the airport. There are a number of car hire companies based at the airport, but it is recommended that you pre book your car hire in advance. If you are travelling by train, again Lamezia is the main station. There are car hire companies opposite the station where you can hire a car to continue your journey to Pizzo Beach Club; or, catch a local train, from Lamezia to Franco Villa train station, which is a 10 minute walk to Pizzo Beach Club.
