To visit Pistoia , what could be better than an apartment, located 200 meters from the railway station of Pistoia ( 30 daily trains to Florence , 20 Lucca , Pisa 14 ) to 5 -minute walk from the historic center and features of a private parking with CCTV.

The apartment is located in a beautiful building of the 800 recently renovated , in the immediate vicinity we can find supermarkets, bars, pizzerias, restaurants. Tuscany has been in the past an important cultural center and today is a tourist destination renowned and visited daily by many tourists who explore in its entirety; from Pisa to Lucca from Florence to Siena to San Gimignano , but it is still possible to find some places in Tuscany unspoilt and waiting to be discovered . Pistoia is a city of unique beauty that lies in the north of Tuscany, from the depths of the Italian character , a lively village , sometimes congested traffic at other times quiet and peaceful , so perfect place for their holidays .

What makes Pistoia hidden jewel of Tuscany ? The Basilica of Our Lady of Humility has the third largest dome in Italy , after Rome and Florence. The historic center with its concentration of buildings and medieval monuments has a beautiful Piazza del Duomo, the square surrounded by ancient streets , most of which are open to traffic. On Wednesday and Saturday mornings there is a market crowded by both locals and tourists . Pistoia also boasts some stylish clothes shops and shoe stores where you can find the latest fashion items at prices far cheaper compared to other Italian cities .

If you want to discover the culture of Pistoia is to see the silver altar of San Jacopo housed in the main cathedral of San Zeno ( what was once a great saint ), which is located in Piazza del Duomo flanked by the Bell Tower, the Baptistery octagonal San Giovanni in court and the main museum of Pistoia ( Museo Civico ) . Also to see the facade of the church of San Giovanni Fuorcivitas in Via Cavour and the Basilica of Our Lady of Humility with its magnificent dome, designed by Vasari , is located in Via Della Madonna . Magnificent work of art is The Hospital of the stump with its friezes of the Della Robbia and the numerous churches of the city are home to great examples of ornate pulpits and beautiful organ music , the best of which are found in the churches of San Francesco, Sant ' Andrea , Holy Spirit and St. Bartolomeo in Pantano . Pistoia is home to the famous Pistoia Blues Festival in July and can boast appearances such as Bob Dylan and Santana . To celebrate the feast of San Jacopo ( St. James ) , the patron saint of Pistoia every July 25 is held in the Piazza del Duomo " Carousel Bear ( Bear tournament ) , where the four ancient quarters of Pistoia compete in a tournament equestrian .
