The Limassol District

The exclusive resort of Pissouri lies exactly half way between the major towns of Limassol and Pafos. Rich in agriculture, a variety of grapes and olives grow along the countryside and you may even see a herd of goats grazing on the hilltops.

The resort has always attracted holiday makers who enjoy the peace and quiet of country living having easy access to all the conveniences of city life.

Visitors have so many choices at their finger tips. Within 20 min drive of Pissouri one can have access to the bustling towns Limassol and Pafos. There are two golf courses and two waterparks to choose from, a go-karting centre, paintball centre and a wide variety of watersports activities. It is within easy reach of the Troodos for those who love the outdoors and as such is the perfect destination for those who want a bit of everything.

Pissouri / Pissouri Bay area

Pissouri Village is located above the bay and is a 5 min drive. Summer nights in the village are busy and most nights one can find a festivity of some sort to celebrate. The village brags its very own amphitheatre which is very popular in the summer and hosts a number of dancing shows and musical performances for those interested in sampling a little of the local culture. For others there are numerous bars and restaurants to try.

For more culture, you can venture to village of Anoyira, only 10 min away. This traditional village has its own olive oil museum, mosaics workshop, winery and carob museum and you can sit and chat with the locals in the local 'kafenion' (coffee shop).

Also 10 min away one can visit the Ostrich Farm with its 1000 ostriches and perhaps sample some of the delicious delcacies like ostrich meat available in the farm's restaurant.

Nearby are also numerous archaeological sites like Curium Amphitheatre, the Sanctuary of Apollo and of course the legendary birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite at Petra tou Romiou where legend says the goddess rose up from the foam of the sea.

- Larnaka International Airport is only 1hr away and there is flight access from a multitude of major European hubs as well as several low cost carriers like Monarch Airlines. www.monarch.co.uk
- There are several car hire companies at the airport which are open 24hrs and if given notice, we can make arrangements with our driver who can meet you at the airport and transfer you to the property.
