Home description

Situated at the top of Pissouri village approx 900 ft above sea level and on an exclusive residential developement in a quiet and very peaceful area. Kopiaste Villa is a large two bedroom terraced house with breath-taking views down to sea. The villa is about a ten minute walk from the village square where an excellent selection of restaurants and tavernas can be found. Other amenities include a bakery, butchers, supermarkets, gift shops and two banks.

Ideally situated for exploring the wonderful island of Cyprus and could also be used as a base for golfing holidays as there are two excellent courses nearby.

The Limassol District

Limassol (Lemesos) is the island's second largest city and is spread out between the two ancient kingdoms of Amathous and Kourion - two of the most spectacular archaeological sites in Cyprus. It boasts the islands main port and is a bustling holiday resort in it's own right featuring plenty of nightlife (discos, clubs & tavernas).
The area generally is renouned for it's grapes and winemaking, and holds a Wine Festival each September as well as an annual Carnival, featuring fancy dress, chariot parades and parties.

The Cypriot people are warm and friendly, and nearly everyone speaks english. The climate virtually guarantees a sunny holiday.

To the north are the magnificent Troodos Mountains for wintertime skiing and they form the heart of this beautiful island.
Paphos is a World Heritage site with an old harbour and some wonderful Roman archaeological sites. It also has a lively nightlife with many bars clubs and restaurants.

The stunning Akamas Nature Reserve is to the northwest of Pissouri and is well worth a visit (4x4 recommended). Just further on are the holiday beaches of Latsi and Polis (excellent fish restaurants).
There are many small villages dotted around the Pissouri area just waiting to be explored and nearly all have at least one excellent if sometimes slightly rustic taverna serving wonderful food at very reasonable prices.


Pissouri / Pissouri Village area

Pissouri village is one of the most attractive and friendly villages in Cyprus . It still retains much of the traditional Cypriot character and provides a warm welcome to all visitors. Set high on the hillside about 900ft above sea level it commands the most magnificent panoramic views over the coastline and inland towards the Troodos Mountains.

Quaint narrow streets lead down to the picturesque village square which can be quiet and relaxing during the day and full of life during the evenings in summer especially on "Cyprus nights" (Wednesdays from May to Oct). Excellent selection of restaurants and tavernas and an amphitheatre which holds the occasional outdoor concert, production etc.

Pissouri is on the old coast road midway between Paphos and Limassol each within a 25 min drive from the village. Paphos airport is approx 20 mins.

Sporting activities can be enjoyed at the blue flag awarded Pissouri Beach, providing watersports including scuba diving, wind surfing, banana boats and jet skies.

There are two waterparks in Limassol and one in Paphos for the young and the young at heart to cool off in.
For those that wish to pampered there is the exclusive 5 star Columbia Hotel and Resort situated at the end of the beach for meals, therapies and beauty treatments.

The famous " Aphrodite Hills Golf Resort " is outstanding and only 15 mins away as is the "Secret Valley" course, and the Tsada golf course is within half an hour to keep the golfing enthusiasts happy.

The villa is fully air-conditioned and has heating in all areas for the cooler evenings. The front door is equipped with an insect screen and leads into the large open plan 'L' shaped Lounge / Dining area. Tiled in marble throughout, the comfortable lounge is furnished with a three-piece suite, coffee table, side tables, TV and cabinet, DVD player & library, mini CD hi-fi and ceiling fan. The dining area can seat up to 6.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven / gas hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils.

On the upper floor there is a landing area which leads to two double bedrooms both equipped with : Double bed with matching bedside chests of drawers, dressing table, fitted wardrobes and ceiling fan. Neither bedroom is overlooked and both have patio doors with insect screens leading onto a private balcony. A fold - up camp bed is also available to sleep the 5th person.

Two sets of patio doors with insect screens lead from the lounge area out to the large tiled terrace which is partially covered and provides shade and privacy and is also ideal for sun-worshippers. Sun loungers are provided. It is equipped with a large hardwood patio table, chairs and parasol and is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal or just sit and relax with a drink and admire the spectacular views to the sea across the bay and inland towards the Troodos Mountains. Beautiful early morning sunrises over the sea and snow on Mount Olympus in winter. The terrace overlooks the delightful shared swimming pool which is just across the private road in front of the villa. Sun loungers are also provided around the pool.

Welcome pack containing basic provisions on arrival.
Bed linen and Bathroom towels are provided, however Beach Towels are not.
Fold-up Camp bed also provided.


Conditions

Stricly NO SMOKING at this property. This includes balcony and terrace.
The villa is cleaned between lets and is normally available from 15.00hrs on day of arrival.
Please allow enough time to vacate the villa by 11.00hrs on departure day unless otherwise agreed.
