Home description

Villa Acacia is located on the outskirts of the Picturesque village of Pissouri. It has been built into the hillside of the natural landscape which gives the villa some breathtaking views down the valley to Pissouri bay and to the Troodos Mountains. A quiet tranquil location, but only a short walk to the traditional village square of Pissouri for those that enjoy the faster pace of Cyprus nightlife. The villa has a large patio and BBQ area with its own private pool and terrace for sunbathing and watching the sun go down for your perfect choice of Mediterranean holiday.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with fitted wardrobes. Patio doors lead onto the balcony which give spectacular views of Pissouri village and the Mediterranean sea. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds and fitted wardrobes. The spacious open plan lounge and dining room is fully furnished with matching leather sofas. There is a TV with Satellite decoder and DVD. The dining area has a table and chairs to seat 6 people. The fully fitted and equipped kitchen has stainless steel electrical appliances, large fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, gas oven and hob. All kitchen utensils are also on hand.

The Limassol District

Pissouri is located half way between Limassol and Paphos which are both large cosmopolitan towns. Limassol is the centre of Cyprus' wine industry. Local wines are harvested from the vineyards on the sides of the Troodos mountains. You can book wine tasting tours of the vineyards, which are very good. The town has an annual wine festival in September and a carnival at the start of lent. There are lots of famous and historical sights that are within easy driving distance from Limassol and Pissouri.

Pissouri / Pissouri Village area

The quiet village of Pissouri is surrounded by vineyards, orange groves and beautiful scenary. It is set 600 feet above Pissouri Bay which is a 5 minute drive by car. In Pissouri bay you will find the beaches and water sports with water skiing, jet ski's,and quad bikes to name but a few. Pissouri itself has a quaint village square that is lined with restaurants that form the venue for the local, unmissable weekly Cyprus night, with Greek dancing and music to entertain diners. The choice of restaurants within the village is varied and there are around 25 to choose from.

There is also an amphitheatre where performances range from Shakespeare to the Greek classics and are normally of a high standard. For those that enjoy a round of golf there are two very good courses nearby. There is Aphodite Hills and Secret Valley, both next to each other and 10 minutes by car from Pissouri.

How to get there

• By air: BA,Cyprus Airways, EuroCypria, Helios, Thomson and ExcelAirways are the main airlines but there are many more. They all fly from different airports from within UK.

• Car hire: Both airports offer good car hire facilities. A good recommendation is www.economycarrentals.com. Taxis are available and cost around 35 Euro from Paphos, but ask the price first.

• By car from the airports:
From Paphos airport take the motorway towards Limassol (Lemesos)on the A6. Stay on the motorway until you see the sign for Pissouri village, it's about 30 km from the airport. Turn right and go over the bridge and follow the road until you come to the T junction. Turn right at the T junction heading for Pissouri village, 300 mtr on the right there is a turning. Take that right turning and follow the road up the hill, Villa Acacia is 150 mtr's on the left hand side, it is the first villa.

From Larnaca airport follow the signs for the A6 and Paphos. Stay on the motorway for approx 90km until you see the sign for Pissouri village. Take the slip road and follow the road to the left until you come to the T junction.Turn right at the T junction heading for Pissouri Village, 300mtr on the right there is a turning. Take that right turning and follow the road up the hill, villa Acacia is 150 mtr's on the left side, it is the first villa.

The patio areas outside are ideal for al fresco dining and a gas BBQ has also been made available, there is also patio furniture provided with seating for 6 people. There is a private pool (8x4mtr) with 4 sun loungers available to relax and while away the hours soaking up the sun. The patio's and garden areas can be illuminated at night for you to sit outside and relax with a nice cool drink. There is private car parking for 2 cars.

• The prices quoted are inclusive of air conditioning, but please turn the A/C`s off when not in the villa and close all doors when outside.
• The pool is cleaned twice a week by the next door neighbour.
• There are steps leading up to the villa, therefore it may not be suitable for disabled guests.
