The Limassol District
Limassol is the centre of Cyprus’ wine industry, with local wines harvested from the vineyards on the sides of the Troodos mountains. The city has an annual wine festival in September and a colourful carnival at the start of Lent. There is also plenty to see and do outside of the city, such as the ruined city of Amathus and Akrotiri Salt Lake, which is home to thousands of flamingos during the winter.

You can either fly into Paphos or Larnaca airports. The villa is located within Pissouri Bay and is a 20 min drive from Paphos airport and 75 min drive from Larnaca. There are car hire desk and taxi's available at both airports. Fares are around C£25 Paphos and £C45 Larnaca.

We're back in rainy dismal Middlesbrough thinking longingly of the lovely time we had in Pissouri. The villa was super, a real haven of peace, and one of the nicest we have stayed in in our 7 visits and we hope to visit again next year
