Ampeli Villa ("Vineyard Villa") is located just two minutes' walk from the beach and resort centre. In the heart of Cyprus's vine-growing district, Pissouri Bay is a quiet, friendly and traditional seaside resort that has escaped the attentions of mass tourism.
This new well-appointed villa with 9 m × 4 m private pool and attractive gardens is furnished to a high standard in a contemporary style. There are sea views, as the villa is only 200 metres from the beach, with open farmland between the villa and the Mediterranean. The well-screened garden benefits from a regular sea breeze, and the villa has air conditioning.
Suitable for couples or families, the villa provides a luxurious and comfortable home-from-home, and a convenient base for those who wish to explore the island further.

The Limassol District

Pissouri Bay is mid-way between Paphos and Limassol, and a 25-minute drive from each. These larger towns have a wealth of historical sites, good shopping and activity centres, including water parks and go-karting.
For keen golfers, there are two championship golf courses within a scenic coastal 15-minute drive: Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley.
A similar distance away, the Roman amphitheatre and mosaics at Kourion are well worth a visit. On some evenings there are entertainments here such as music concerts and Shakespeare plays.
Petra Tou Romiou, also known as Aphrodite's Birth Place, is a mere 10-minute drive.
In summer, it is pleasant to drive into the cool of the Troodos mountains where you can walk among pine forests to view streams and waterfalls, and sample fresh local trout cooked over charcoal.

Pissouri / Pissouri Bay area

Pissouri Bay, although small, has an amazing range of places to eat and styles of cuisine. It is possible to stay for a fortnight and never eat in the same place twice! There are a number of establishments catering for tourists, with a dive centre, kite surfing shop, mini markets, a sports bar, car hire shops, a travel agency and a bank (with ATM), but Pissouri Bay is frequented by Cypriots too. The Vineleaf Tavern is well-known in Cyprus for its Fish Meze, and features 'Cyprus Night' music and dancing each Friday throughout the summer.
Nearby Pissouri Village is the sister settlement to Pissouri Bay, and a steep 5-minute uphill climb away by car! Larger than Pissouri Bay, it has a wider range of amenities and more restaurants. At the village centre is a cobbled pedestrian square, which also has Wednesday 'Cyprus Night' entertainment where tourists mix with locals in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is also a modern amphitheatre, hosting open-air entertainments on balmy summer evenings.

Downstairs is a spacious, light and airy open-plan living / dining / kitchen area. Two sets of patio doors provide views of the pool, garden and sea beyond. The villa is furnished in a high-quality contemporary style, with a circular glass dining table, two comfortable sofas, leather lounger and swivel chair and occasional tables. To supplement the Sky satellite tv showing UK most Freeview channels, there is an extensive collection of DVDs. There are also audio CDs, or your own mp3 player can played through the hi-fi. Mini laptop with wi-fi broadband internet access. A cloakroom and a utility room complete the downstairs facilities.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are all upstairs. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, and an en suite shower room. The other two bedrooms have twin beds and share the family bathroom, which has a bath with shower over. Each bedroom has air conditioning, built-in wardrobes, bedside units, lamps, hairdryers, a dressing table and its own balcony.

The large 9 m × 4 m private swimming pool features Roman steps and a depth varying from 1 to 2 m. There is a garden shower. An ample poolside terrace has 6 sunloungers for sunbathing. The private garden is secluded, and benefits from a welcome sea breeze. It is planted with a variety of trees, shrubs and colourful plants, together with fruit trees, grape vines and scented climbers. A grassy area, which is often in shade, is ideal for family games (provided). There is an outdoor dining table for 6, under a shady pergola.
There is pool, garden and terrace lighting for evening use and a gas barbecue.
The two bedrooms facing the garden and sea have balcony furniture. The other bedroom has a balcony offering views up the valley to the Troodos mountains.
There is off-street parking for 2 cars on the pergola-covered drive.

Strictly NO SMOKING in Ampeli Villa or the garden, please.
Bed linen and bath towels are included, and changed weekly. Please provide your own pool/beach towels.
The villa is cleaned between guests.
Air conditioning fair use policy (occupied rooms, appropriate temperature, windows closed).
A high chair and cot can be provided on request.

Conditions

A 25% non-returnable deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance, plus £200 security bond, is payable 8 weeks before departure. The security bond will be returned promptly after your visit, if no breaches of terms, damage or losses.
A welcome pack is provided on arrival.
Changeover day is flexible, depending on availability.
The villa is available from 4 p.m. on arrival, and should be vacated by noon on departure day.
