About the home

These self-catering onebedroom apartment with traditional furnishing, have two single beds, shower room, fully equipped kitchen, lounge area, television, ceiling fan and veranda. Air-conditioning available, in both bedroom and lounge area. You can prepare your own meals or you can make use of our restaurant. We provide inexpensive family fare including breakfast from 7am up to 8pm.

Rantzo Apartments with its traditional style, enjoy uninterrupted views of the countryside to Pissouri Bay and across the water to Akrotiri Peninsula. Enjoy the outdoors from your balcony or relax by the pools which are set in lovely gardens. With no neighbouring buildings, you can enjoy a very peaceful holiday. When you are ready, take a 3 minute drive into the village square and choose from a great variety of bars and restaurants to enjoy unbeatable Cypriot hospitality.

Further details outdoors:
A few hundred metres away you can find a butcher, greengrocer, supermarket and post office, a pharmacy, medical centre and a petrol station. Only three minutes drive will take you to the famous Pissouri Square with its special atmosphere. There are several bars, restaurants, taverns, kebab shops, pizza parlour and even a Chinese take-away.

Pissouri church stands at the top of the square where you can also find the banks. Just of the centre of the village you can find a patisserie, a bakery and there is another supermarket and two butchers on the streets above the church. The square host the Cyprus Night every Wednesday and this is much enjoyed with its special mixture of traditional cabaret and communal dancing. The amphitheatre will have a summer program, and there are a range of celebrations and religious festivals during the year.

The Limassol region

On the island of Cyprus, Lemesos (Limassol) is the island’s second largest city, hosts the main port, and it is the centre of the wine industry and holiday tourism. Many people come to enjoy the relaxed, island atmosphere and take time to enjoy authentic Greek-Cypriot hospitality and fantastic food!! Limassol city spreads along the seaside and backs on to the foothills of the Troodos Mountains. Either side of the city are two spectacular archaeological sites built on cliff tops with views overlooking the sea – the ancient city-kingdoms of Amathous to the east and Kourion to the west. New Public Transport System!! When holidaying in Pissouri village, you don't nessesary need a hire car. You can make use of the new public tranport buses, passing by Rantzo, and then to Pissouri beach, 3 times a day, both ways. Another bus commutes 3 times a day to Limassol town centre and back.

The Pissouri / Pissouri Village area

I was born and raised in the beautiful Pissouri Village which sits high on the hilltop overlooking Pissouri Bay. This is a great place to relax and enjoy your holiday. Pissouri has a friendly, authentic Greek-Cypriot culture with a large community of English speaking locals who will make you welcome. Many visitors to Pissouri return to us year after year. In fact, many people from overseas have bought homes in the area because they love it so much. Have a look at the places I've been and the wonderful things you can enjoy around our lovely village from history and culture, swimming and beach games, tavernas and shopping. The Blue-Flag Pissouri Bay - beach is few minutes drive from Rantzo apts. A full range of water sports is available including sailing, wind surfing, para-gliding and jet skiing. There are a number of good restaurants in the area too. There is also a diving centre, mini-markets and car rental companies in the area. Two golf courses are within few minutes drive of Pissouri village. Aphrodite Hills with 18 holes and, the Secret Valley Golf Course, offers also an 18 hole championship course in a spectacular setting in a valley surrounded by mature trees. During December to March time the ski resort is open to Cyprus. Equipment is available for hire and lessons may also be obtained. This is an hour and a half drive by a verry nice road up to Troodos. There are ski lifts to different locations and many local tavernas & restaurants. A new medical centre of the village and farmacy 1 km away.

DIRECTIONS TO RANTZO FROM THE AIRPORTS Getting to Rantzo from the airports is very straight-forward, and roads are excellent. FROM LARNACA AIRPORT follow the signs for Limassol. After you join the motorway A6 continue to Limassol, approximately 50 minutes driving. The motorway will take you over the city of Limassol as you continue to travel following signs for Paphos along the A6.

On your journey to Paphos, you will pass through a tunnel and very soon after that you can see, on top of the hill, in the distance, Pissouri Village. You're almost there.

Now, avoid the trap: DO NOT turn off the motorway at the sign saying Pissouri Bay !! Shortly after that you will come to signs saying Pissouri & Alektora. This is your road, which takes you off the motorway and down the hill to join the old B6 Paphos – Limassol road. Straight ahead of you at the junction you will see THE RANTZO.

This journey should take approximately 1hr 20mins. FROM PAPHOS AIRPORT you drive out to join the old road B6 where you must turn right and follow signs for Limassol A6. Soon you will see signs for the A6 motorway, first you drive over it, then back down to join it. Following signs for Limassol, after about 15 minutes you leave the motorway at the signs saying Pissouri & Alektora. You will arrive at the bridge taking you over the motorway, DO NOT make a left turn, but proceed over the bridge and down to the old B6 road. There at the junction if you look straight ahead you will see THE RANTZO.

This journey should take approximately 20 minutes.

“holiday of a life time” the great thing was after following the email route we drove straight to the apartments what a great location out in the wonderful cyprus countryside but as you will find just down the road there are bars and resturants and ofcourse the sea and beaches. as soon as we walked in we were greated by the two great brothers who own the apartments with no fuss or bother we were shown around and taken to our apartment, large and very well equipped with all the things you will ever need for a self catering holiday. the pool was great with even a small one for the children who stay there . we went back upstairs to the lovely resturant where we were given a drink and told about where everything was located.there is a great supermarket just down the road, bars, petrol station etc. you are located inbetween two great towns and close to some of the great cyprus treasures , and dont forget troodos not far away, . we went to the tavern in pissouri bay for the cyprus night, the food and dancing was just wonderful. we had some snacks in the resturant which is with the apartments , great food and even had the owner join us to tell us all about the area and the history of the place. after a day out ot was great to unwind with a dip in the pool, and even talk to mother who looks after the wonderful gardens about all her differant plants etc. so all in all we thank you for a great break/holiday in you wonderful apartment and if you have any problems they are sorted out before you can finish talking, and with a smile, so by for now looking forward to another visit in the future and i know lots of our friends will be booking soon to come and visit you
