The Limassol District
Limassol boasts the biggest port in the Mediterranean trade. It has become a popular destination for tourists and trades because of its number of museums and archaeological sites. Home to the Cyprus University of Technology, Limassol draws in many visitors in the summer months. Limassol Marina will provide berths for both small and larger ships and draw in more trade to the area. Six Miles east of Limassol is the ancient Royal City of Cyrus. Its legendary Ruins can provide a unique experience for those visiting this district.
While Pissouri retains its traditional Cypriot character, visitors can find almost anything they want in Pissouri - there are some excellent local shops, including two butchers and two supermarkets. There is a wide variety of taverns serving classic Cypriot cuisine as well as many cafes and bars . There are also two banks in Pissouri village square. Pissouri Beach has many fine seafood restaurants on the seafront.
There is a Cyprus night held every week in Pissouri Village Square which features traditional Cypriot music and dance and a buffet.. Cyprus has many facilities for sports such as golf, tennis and water sports. Pissouri beach has jet skis, windsurfing, boat rides and scuba diving on offer. The area is very good for ramblers . In the winter the Trodos mountain range provides skiing and tobogganing, while in the summer it offers lovely cool refreshing walks thought the pine covered slopes of the mountains. Ramblers can also enjoy fine coastal walks throughout the year.
The villa is set over looking stunning views of the Mediterranean, and just 5 minutes drive to the beach in Pissouri Bay. Several very good restaurants including fish restaurants, an Indian Restaurant and an excellent award winning Lebanese/Greek fusion restaurant, very reasonably priced and are within walking distance to the beach. Situated on the beach, there are 3 great restaurants, perfect for a spot of lunch and refreshments. behind these restaurants you will find a local convenience store, cash point and the beautiful Serenity Day Spa (perfect for a mid afternoon massage maybe). For sports enthusiasts, a water sports centre and diving club are available on the beach also.
The 6000ft high mountain range of Trodos is nearby, as are the cosmopolitan centre’s of Limassol and Paphos. Aphrodite's rock is only 3 miles away, this a great tourist attraction and well worth a visit.
The stunningly designed championship golf courses at Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills are within a ten minute drive, a must for any golf or spa lovers.
The area of Pissouri if the perfect place for families/couples looking for a relaxing break which will enable you to absorb some typical Cypriot culture.

Villa Aphrodite was like a home in the sun. The villa was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The property was in a quiet corner of Pissouri, which is a beautiful village. Had everything we needed, pool was perfect, plenty of sun loungers and made a great base to explore the island. Nick the owner was very accommodating and communication was good throughout. Would recommend most definitely.
Thank you and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to you staying with us again

"The villa is spacious and comfortable with a private garden and pool - a lovely quiet and relaxing holiday!"
The villa has a good sized private garden with table, chairs and sun loungers and a pool which we spent a lot of time in keeping cool.. The villa is spacious and comfortable and we were pleased to find it has Wi-Fi installed so we could use the internet. The villa is well equipped with china and cutlery etc. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the roof terrace at night, looking at the stars, with a glass of wine. We had a very quiet and relaxed time during our stay and will be booking the villa again. ..
Thank you for your comments on our villa, we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to you booking again with us.

"Lovely, peaceful location but plenty to do and see nearby."
Beautiful location with unspoilt village for evenings. Would love to go back to see more of the area. Theres plenty to see nearby and will need a car but the village has plenty to keep you busy at night. The Greek night in the square is a great evening out and good fun. Our favourite beach was Pissouri Bay.The villa has sun terrace and was hot enough when we were there to catch the sun at 7.30am..a treat in late Oct after the British summer.Villa was comfortable and well equipped and booking with the owner was easy and stress free.It was so nice to be in an unspoilt area but with plenty to see on the doorstep. We did have a few trips out to other beaches and to the archeological site (well worth a visit) at Kourian but because the villa and pissouri beach was so handy we spent more time there. We live in rural Wales but I dont think have ever been to a more peaceful place. There are also some lovely walks near the villa and can wander amongst the roaming sheep and goats on the hills near the villa. We had one of the best family holidays here as it ticked all the boxes. We only had a week but would still be there if hadn't had to come home! Thanks for a lovely holiday.
Thank you for your kind words and look forward to welcoming you back to our villa.

We have been going to Pissouri for many years and have stayed in various places , but this villa is by far the nicest. Communication with the owner was quick and efficient, any queries we had were answered within the next day, we found the villa easily and although we know the area well, the directions were good that even if you didn't you would find it easily enough . We arrived to find the villa spotlessly clean with nice furnishings , the pool and outside area are kept clean by Paul the friendly pool man who will happily give you tips on where to eat if you are new to the area. The villa has a beautiful sun terrace which is lovely, and the views from here are stunning , looking down towards the bay, we got up one morning to watch the sun come up and it was stunning, if you want more sun after about 4 in the afternoon you can always go up here as the sun goes down behind the palm trees in the garden, but by that time I had enough sun so was quite happy to snooze in the shade. The pool is lovely and refreshing on a hot day, which it normally is in Cyprus ! Very very quiet area as the only people who drive past are the other's that live up there , so very peaceful. It is about a 15 to 20 minutes walk into the village from the villa but we had a car so drove down . There are some goats and sheep that walk around the area, so on behalf of the owner if you stay here, please shut the gates, or else they may eat all the lovely plants in the garden ! We had a fab 14 days in this villa and didn't want to come home, we hope to go back next year , to this lovely villa.
thank you for the review and we are really pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to you returning to the villa in 2013.

"Villa Aphrodite great villa for couples or young families"
Stayed at Villa Aphrodite in Pissouri village for two weeks in May 2012. The villa was great allowing us to relax with our own private pool and gardens. The village of Pissouri was also well equipped for amenities and was a perfect base for exploring the island of Cyprus. The villa is 30 mins walk to the village main square where you can find several local restaurants/tavernas offering quality locally produced food and drink. The property manager for the villa stays only a few doors away and was extremely approachable should you require any assistance.
Thank you, I am pleased you had a great time and please let me know when you wish to rebook the villa on your next holiday to Cyprus.

"The best form of rest and relaxation"
My girlfriend and I desperately needed a stress free week away from the UK - somewhere quite, pretty, hot, peaceful, private and with a pool during the last week of April. This was our first visit to Cyprus so we were talking a bit of a gamble. Villa Aphrodite in Pissouri ticked every single box. The villa is obviously well maintained by Janne and her husband, who made sure we had everything we needed on arrival. The accommodation is perfect for a couple but would equally suit a party of four friends or a small family. The pool is perfect (unheated) but in 22 degrees upwards it is welcomely refreshing. The poolside is attractively laid out with plenty of room to chase the sun in comfortable sunbeds and it has a large barbeque area and sheltered eating area. The palm trees complete the setting! The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you'd need to create a sumptuous banquet for six or more. There is a TV, Satellite and DVD player but it wasn't that sort of holiday for us – I’m sure they would have been in good working order. If however music is important to you then I recommend you bring portable speakers as we could not find a sound system. As well as ample poolside sunbathing there is a perfect roof terrace to catch the dying rays of the sun. Washing facilities can be fount there too. There was hot water all day but don’t expect a bath, the shower makes up for one amply. A vehicle of some sort is a must - we hired a Suzuki jeep, which was perfect for the winding roads up in the mountains (recommend Lofou and Laneia). Pissouri itself is a beautiful village set on top of a large ridge with amazing views over the sea to the south and the mountains to the north. The village centre has plenty of tavernas and bars to choose from, though Friday night becomes the ex-pat's night-out, which can be a bit overwhelming. We ate very well in the evening but the Hideaway scored best in our books. At the bottom of the hill on the B6 is a large supermarket where you will get everything you need for your stay. The beach is accessible by car and I guess this would be the attraction for a young family. It’s all very clean and pretty with plenty of tavernas and bars but there is a definite a price hike for the privilege! I can’t recommend this villa enough – the booking process was smooth and easy, the owner responded to emails in a timely fashion. We would return in a heartbeat – though I can’t speak for high season where I imagine this part of island would become pretty busy and maybe not quite as peaceful as we found it in April.
Thank you for your reccomendation and please let me know if and when you would like to book the Villa again. I will offer you an excellent discount as a repeat customer...
