Our English-speaking housekeeper will meet you upon your arrival and, in the unlikely event that one arises during your stay, will assist with any problems in respect to the property .

A welcome pack can be provided on arrival if required (with payment made directly to our housekeeper).

We would very much appreciate our guests respecting the no-smoking policy within the property.

Whilst wheel chair access is possible as far as the rear door, we must point out that the layout of the furnishings does not easily allow for a wheelchair to be used indoors. However, there are no internal steps, and the showers are easily accessed by the less-abled.

For guests staying for longer then one week, our housekeeper will change the towels and bedlinen every seven days. (Please note that there is no daily maid service).

The cost of air-conditioning is included within the rental fee. However, please use the air-conditioning with consideration. Do not run it with the windows and doors open, and be sure to switch it off when the property is empty.

Finally, we warmly welcome you as our guests and hope you enjoy your stay - but please remember that Epicurea is also our home in Cyprus, and as such, we would appreciate you giving it your respect. Thank you.

About this location

The Limassol District

With the magnificent Mount Olympus at the summit of the Troodos Mountains to the north, and edged to the south by some 160km (100 miles) of mediterranean coastline and beaches (including the UK Sovereign military peninsula of Episkopi and Akrotiri), the Limassol District is one of the most beautiful areas of Cyprus.

Blessed by blue skies, sunshine and low humidity for best part of the year, and winters which are mild, Cyprus is very much an all-year round destination. Rainfall in winter is just enough to keep the countryside green, whilst the Troodos mountains are high enough to attract a decent snow-fall. It is true that, in winter, one can ski on Mount Olympus in the morning and swim in the mediteranean in the afternoon!

An island renowned as the mythical birth-place of Aphrodite (the Greek goddess of love and beauty), Cyprus has a colourful history dating back to at least 10,000 BC. In more recent times, it has been under the control of the Knights Hospitallers of the Order of St John in the 13th century (whose castle still stands at Kolossi, just west of Limassol) and was a British colony from 1925 until 1960. The splendid archaelogical site of the 7th century city of Kourion (Curium), with its reconstructed amphitheatre, is one of the district's gems.

The Troodos mountains boast several monasteries and churches that are counted among UNESCO's World Heritage Sites, the richest and most famous of which is the Kykkos monastery.

Residents of Pissouri rightly describe the village and bay as '...a place set by nature on the edge of heaven' (

The traditional Cypriot village has a wonderful selection of tavernas and bars, banks, shops (including a book shop), an internet cafe and a post office, as well as a taxi-office and surgeries for a local doctor and a dentist.

During the summer season, the village hosts a popular 'Cyprus Night' of music, dancing and feasting on every Wednesday evening in the village square.

If that is not enough, Pissouri also has its own amphitheatre, which regularly hosts concerts, military bands and traditional Cypriot displays.

Pissouri Bay is ideal for watersports and safe swimming, and is famous for its nesting turtles. The Bay also hosts a 4-star hotel - with high quality restaurants, ideal for that special occasion.

The nearby resort of Paphos provides the additional attractions of a wide-range of quality shops, sea-fishing, horse-riding and a water park. Whilst scattered around the whole area are many charming villages and wineries, each with something different to offer the visitor.

"Apartment was wonderful"

My partner, daughter and her husband flew out on boxing day and eventually arrived late evening, we couldnt find the apartment in the dark so we stopped at the local police station who were amazing and told us to follow them to the apartment....although it was late the lady who looks after the apartment was waiting for us. The next day on waking we were amazed at how lovely the area was....the apartment had everything we needed for the week and more!
A very quiet place but everyone in the village was very friendly...we spent New Years Eve in one of the local bars playing pool....the place was empty until 12.15 then the whole world arrived it seemed....we spent most days going out but cooked in the evening.....the cooker was easy to use and as I have said before there was everything you could need in the kitchen... the sun shone on the patio all day so we also spent time there getting a tan,, which was a bonus as we didn't realise that it would be that place to give a miss is the local Indian restaurant in Pissouri bay...very expensive and the food was awful....apart from that we had a lovely time and would defiantly go back to Cyprus.
This is an ideal apartment for a very quiet and stress free holiday!

"Well situated appartment equiped with high quality furnishings and equipment"

The appartment is well situated in a quiet location within 5 minutes walk to the village centre which has plenty of good tavernas / restaurants. All the restaurants we went in were friendly, and the food very good and typical of the area.
The nearest beach is sandy and only a 5 minute drive away. There are many more spectacular pebble beaches within a 20 minute drive along the coast.
The king size bed was the best holiday appartment bed that we have every had.
Overall the appartment was very comfortable, in a quiet location and well equiped with quality fixtures and fittings.

"Very comfortable apartment"

This is the most comfortable apartment of the many that we have rented over the years. Having a king size bed was really good and the second bedroon, which was the same size as the main one, has two extra large single beds. Many apartments or villas that we have rented, have a good main bedroom and poor second bedroom. Here they are identical. The two shower-rooms are the same size, except one is en-suite to the main bedroom.
The lounge has two large comfortable leather settees, a satellite TV (with a limited selection of channels) and a DVD player. There is also a large dining table and chairs.
The kitchen is very well equipped with all that is needed for cooking. A washing machine, dishwasher and microwave are provided.
We cooked a number of meals and enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace. We found a good Deli - run by a chef, who made a range of meals each day, which can be ordered. He has cakes and a super Lemon Meringue Pie! He is next to the Butcher and Galata Supermarket.
The apartment is within easy walking distance of the village supermarkets, restaurants and theatre. Most of the other apartments are residental and we found everybody to be very friendly. This is the best located apartment in the complex. The rear terrace looks over a field to a wooded hillside and is in sunshine for most of the day. I am sure that we will use this apartment again. Wi-fi is arranged on the village network and cost us 15 euros for two and a half weeks.
