Tuscany is the perfect destination for food and wine lovers. The small villages offer authentic Tuscan cuisine where you can dine al fresco in a typically local trattoria or osteria.
Tuscany is also a region of artisans and it is possible to visit small workshops and and buy local products such as ceramics, olive oil, cheese, truffles and indulge in a morning or afternoon of wine tasting.

The city can be explored easily by foot and all of our guests will receive a self guided walking tour to discover this lovely city beyond the leaning tower!
Many of our guests are surprised to here that we are not to far from the coast. Here you will discover both organized and free beaches, long sandy beaches and small pebbly bays. The area in summer has a vibrant nightlife with lots of seafood restaurants.
The newly opened Marina is the perfect place for an evening stroll and an aperitivo or two!
Vicopisano is just a 5- 10 minute drive away or discover the village by taking a a charming walk through the pine forests. Ancient tracks pass by your villa and wind their way down to the centre of the village.
To visit the historic centre of Vicopisano is like stepping back in time, with its Medieval Towers, cobbled pathways and hidden lanes.
Vicopisano is a place where you will witness a more authentic Tuscany. This is a place to sip a cappuccino with the locals and watch the world go by.
The village comes alive in the summer months with various festivals, usually themed around food and wine. Apart from the festivals there are 2 restaurants in the village, 2 traditional bars and a lively wine bar.
The village is dominated by a huge Medieval watch tower which is part of the fortress designed by the Renaissance engineer Fillipo Brunelleschi. The fortress is now open to the public and for a small fee you can have a private tour of this fascinating Medieval building.
SAN GIOVANNI ALLA VENA
Although your villa has its address in Vicopisano the nearest amenities such as food supplies, bar, and bank etc...Can all be found in the small village of San Giovanni Alla Vena which is just a 5 minute drive from your villa. There is one restaurant and a take- away pizzeria in the village.
LUCCA the Medieval walled city and Puccini's birthplace is just a 30 minute drive away.
FLORENCE with its famous monuments and museums can be reached in 45 minute train journey or by driving.
GETTING AROUND TUSCANY
Many of our guests also visit Leonardo da Vinci's birthplace - Vinci, Volterra, San Gimignano and the famous Chianti region during their stay.
