About the home

Four lovely apartments and a spectacular pool enjoys a stunning Pisa’s hills view. In an excellent location situated on the ground and first floor in a nice villa-farmhouse with beautiful swimming pool (12x6m), away from traffic. Podere Costantino is located at the heart of Tuscany, it gives access to the best the region has to offer: beauties of nature, unique artistic treasures of cities such as Pisa, Volterra and San Gimignano (30km), Florence, Siena, Lucca (45km) and at only 40km from the seacoast. Podere Costantino can host you in one of its four comfortable and relaxing apartments. The apartments are wide, spacious and bright, provided of all comfort, self-standing heating system, wireless, kitchen whit oven, barbecue, satellite TV with all the usual Italian channels, plus CNN and BBC 24, a private parking lot. - APARTMENT ALBA (2 bedrooms, sleeps 4/5):
Located on the ground floor, the apartment Alba (4+1; 70 square meter) has a very large private outside eating area. The living room and connected kitchen have a panoramic view of the countryside trough the balcony door.
The apartment has the following features: wide living room with a well-equipped kitchen completely with oven, fridge with freezer and a sofa-bed, 1 generous bedroom with double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, bathroom with the shower extra large.
There are typical Tuscany terra cotta floors throughout the living room and the bathroom. The rooms are in parquet of our olive trees. A personal space of 80 square meter and a BBQ outside on the sunset terrace with table, chairs and lounge seatings.
It is a favourite choice for families or groups of friends.

- APARTMENT TRAMONTO (1 bedroom, sleeps 2/4):
A bijou apartment of rare charm that envelops its guests in an exclusive and elegant atmosphere. The apartment Tramonto (2+2 beds, 55 square metres) has a very wide arcade on the ground floor with table and chairs to enable dining. The charm is provided by the wide arcade that is irresistible for outdoor breakfasts, an aperitif or romantic candle-lit dinners.
The apartment has the following features: wide living room with a kitchen and a sofa-bed, 1 large bedroom with double bed, bathroom with the shower extra large. There are typical Tuscany terra cotta floors throughout the apartment. Intimate, ideal for two but equally indicated for up to four.

-APARTMENT AURORA (1 bedroom, sleeps 2/3):
An absolutely intimate, warm and inviting nest. The apartment Aurora (2+1 beds, 55 square metres) has a private balcony on the first floor. The living room and connected kitchen have a panoramic view of the countryside trough the balcony door.
The apartment has the following features: wide living room with a kitchen and a sofa-bed, 1 bedroom with double bed, bathroom with the shower extra large. There are parquet floor of our olive trees throughout the apartment.
It's an ideal space for a couple seeking peace and quiet in a romantic setting away from everyday life.
The special atmosphere is further exalted by the beautiful view from the windows, where the eye seems to reach out to infinity.

- APARTMENT MERIGGIO (2 bedrooms, sleeps 3/4):
This flat, located in the fascinating country house, stands out for the warmth conveyed by the furnishings and for the attention to detail.
The apartment Meriggio (2+2 beds, 75 square metres) has a private balcony on the first floor. The living room and connected kitchen have a panoramic view of the countryside trough the balcony door. It extends outdoors with a charming terrace that blends seamlessly with the splendid surrounding landscape.
The apartment has the following features: wide living room with a kitchen and a sofa-bed, 1 room with double bed, 1 room with 2 single beds, bathroom with the shower extra large. There are parquet floor of our olive trees throughout the apartment.
Ideal for families or groups of friends.

Facilities

Further details indoors:
Services included are: linen, towels, water, gas, electricity, final clean and weekly change of bed and bathroom linen. Cots, high chairs, stair gates and extra foldaway beds can be provided at no extra charge. There are no additional charges for cleaning. The heating is an additional cost: at most 5 euros a day for Tramonto; 7 euros a day for Alba.

Each apartment has internet access wireless, satellite TV, hair dryer, cooker, fridge, freezer, linen and towels provided. The apartment furniture has been chosen with a great care to offer you a comfortable and elegant home in the typical Tuscan country style. Sorry, pets not allowed. No smoking. It's a very suitable place for the children.

Private garden with lovely view. Complete with sun lounger, patio table with chairs. Well maintained gardens and surrounds with promenade outside. A very large garden with trees in sunny position. Seasonal fruits and vegetables available.

There is plenty of space outside the house and you are free to roam the olive groves at will. We additionally offer to guests free access to seasonal organic fruit and veg. This, combined with use of our wood fired pizza oven, walks in the grove and proximity to the art cities of Pisa, Lucca, Volterra and Florence makes Podere Costantino a wonderful location to enjoy a memorable, relaxing and stress-free holiday.

Further details

Cleaning and linen change at the end of your holiday are included in the price, however, if you book for two weeks, a mid term towel and linen change is included but not an apartment clean. A deposit of 35% is required on booking. You can pay by interbank transfer or postal transfer or recharge paypal account, you can pay the remnant at your arrival in cash. Price includes gas/electricity/water consumptions, bed linen, blankets and bath towels of the apartment.

Conditions

Possibility to contribute in the agricultural activity: harvesting, pruning of plants, preparation of the soil.
Course of plant pruning: 15,00 euro/hour.

The Tuscany / Pisa Province region

Once you have sampled its wonders, the warmth of its people and the excellence of its wines and cuisine, the magic of Tuscany will touch you and we know you will want to return, as we have done ourselves.
Summer is the most popular time for visiting Tuscany - but Spring has cooler blossom filled days when you can walk amid the delightful scenery or eat out of doors whilst folk at home are still keeping out the winter chill. Autumn brings the grape harvest with village wine festivals, and balmy days still warm enough for swimming.

The Pisa area

We think Podere Costantino will make an excellent base for a Tuscan holiday whatever time of year you choose. Come in May or June for a quiet break with time to relax and enjoy the ambience of this lovely location and use Podere Costantino as a base to explore the very heart of Tuscany. September or early October is the time of the grape picking when many villages have their wine festivals to welcome in the harvest.
Terricciola is easy to reach the nearby villages: Pisa, San Gimignano, Volterra, Lucca. Ideal departure point for day-trips in the most historical and famous cities, such as Pisa (30 Km), San Gimignano (35 Km), Volterra (25 Km),
Morrona, the nearest small village has a bar and a general store for basics. There is a good supermarket at La Capannina on the main road leading to Ponsacco about 4 miles from Podere Costantino. Tennis and horse riding in the area.
