Home description
The Borgo di Colleoli is a renovated estate, with 64 self-contained apartments. There are two pools, one of which is heated. There is an excellent restaurant serving traditional Tuscan fare, and an enoteca – a wine bar serving pasta, pizzas, etc. There is ample car parking and a porterage service to carry your bags to your apartment. There is a concierge service which can arrange day trips, car hire, horseriding, wine tasting, etc.
The Borgo is situated between Pisa and Florence, approx 35 mins drive from Pisa airport and approx 45 mins from central Florence. Other places of interest such as Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano and the Chianti area are ideal for a day trip.

The Tuscany region
The Borgo is situated in beautiful, unspoilt Tuscan landscape. The weather is predominantly Mediterranean with warm, dry summers. The season begins as early as Easter and continues until the end of September. The historic towns of Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and Greve in Chianti are within easy access of the Borgo. Skiing is available in Abetone, a two hour drive away.
Pisa / Comune di Palaia area
The Borgo is an easy 35 minute drive from Pisa airport, which has regular, daily services with Ryanair from a number of UK centres. Florence is a 45 minute drive. The nearest large town is Pontedera, 15km away, which has all major services available. The nearest village is Palaia, a 5 minute drive from the Borgo, which has restaurants, shops, bars and a bank.
How to get there
The Borgo can be reached from several airports, including Pisa, Florence, Bologna and Genoa, although the most convenient is definitely Pisa. Airlines flying to Pisa from the UK include: www.ryanair.com - from Stansted, Liverpool, Glasgow and Dublin; www.easyjet.com - from Bristol; www.thomsonfly.com - from Bournemouth, Coventry and Doncaster; www.ba.com - from Gatwick and Birmingham; www.jet2.com - from Manchester and Edinburgh
Ryanair have a deal with Hertz and car hire can be obtained from as little as 15 Euros per day. The drive from Pisa airport to the Borgo is extremely straightforward and detailed directions can be supplied at the time of booking.
Driving from the UK is very straightforward and takes approx 13 hours actual driving time. At a push it can be done in one day.

Further details indoors: The apartment has been recently renovated to a very high standard. There is heating/air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchenette. The two bedrooms are a good size, the master bedroom being very spacious. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. There is a good sized sofa bed in the lounge which can easily sleep two adults. The apartment has stupendous views from the bedroom windows over the surrounding countryside. There is a concierge and daily housekeeping service.
Further details outdoors: The property is in a secure, gated community, surrounded by beautiful Tuscan countryside. The grass and flower beds are well maintained and there is a lifeguard on duty at the pool. The pool is a one minute walk from the apartment, as is the bar and restaurant.

Conditions
50% deposit required at time of booking with the balance payable four weeks prior to arrival, together with a fully-refundable deposit of £200.00 in respect of damage or breakages. This deposit will be returned within one week of vacating the apartment, once the inventory has been checked against the apartment.

I just want to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay in your apartment at the Borgo. What a fabulous place, beautifully renovated, with two super pools, friendly staff and so peaceful! That was our first time in Tuscany and so we found the Borgo to be an ideal base for exploring and sightseeing and it was nice to have a taste of rural Tuscan life too in and around Palaia with great local cuisine at the various restaurants you had recommended. We loved your apartment which is nicely furnished and well equipped with the most fantastic views. So, many thanks for renting your apartment to us, all in all it was a relaxing, stress free, most enjoyable holiday!
