Home description
Casa Mimosa is in the centre of Raspay on one side of the small village square. The Village has two restaurants and a local bar. Ten minutes away the town of Pinoso offers a further selection of good restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.
The house is equipped with a private secure solar heated salt pool, BBQ for al fresco dining, roof terrace with views across the village to the mountains, ideal for the evening glass of wine. The courtyard with its sail awning is perfect for breakfast with fresh rolls from the baker who delivers Monday through to Saturday mornings. The two double bedrooms, comfortable lounge, and satellite TV are just right for all the family. The surrounding area is well known for its wines and there are plenty of bodegas to visit. The many tracks make perfect walking or cycling.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Raspay rests at the foot of the Sierra Carche range in the middle of a wine growing area and if you enjoy your wine visit the many old and beautiful Bodegas and sample the superb local wines on offer. There are many smaller towns that produce their own wines and there is always some to sample. Visit in August and enjoy the Jumilla Wine Festival (but wear old clothes, the wine wine flows freely!)
We are also ideally situated on the edge of a regional park which offers beautiful scenery for walkers and bird enthusiasts. Join us in February and March and enjoy the pink and white Almond blossom or wait until April and May when the wild local flowers bloom or later still in June when the village celebrates its own fiesta for three whole days.
Enjoy the peace and quiet and the tradition of this quaint and friendly village.
Pinoso / Raspay area
Pinoso is the nearest larger town and offers a varied selection of bars and restaurants to chose from which offer everything from traditional Spanish cuisine to a full English breakfast. A very reasonable three course meal and a bottle of wine can be yours for just 8 euros. search out the bars and restaurants you may even be lucky enough to find one of them serving fish and chips or a roast.
Within a short half hour drive you will find other towns to explore with their own markets and you can also catch the train from Villena and have a lovely day in Valencia or Madrid ( if you leave a little earlier).
