Comefor peace and relaxation but enjoy the fact that Pinoso with its many restaurants and bars is just a ten minute drive away through the almond and olive groves

We are right at the edge of a small typical Spanish village where all the locals will acknowledge you.The village has two small restaurants and a bar, the village square with its church plays host to fiestas

The baker visits each day with fresh bread in time for breakfast and what could be nicer than a bbq by the pool and watch the sun disappear behind the mountains with a glass of wine or two from the local bodegas

The apartment is ideal for walking holidays, wine buffs, bird watching o if you are searching for a property in the area or just looking for rest and recuperation from the stresses of a busy life

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Raspay is a small friendly village (everyone will acknowledge you) at the foot of the Sierra Carche range, some 8kms from the town of Pinoso.

We are in the middle of a wine growing area, so there are lots of Bodegas to visit and if you are a wine buff many opportunities to sample the various wines Most of the small towns around here have their own wine and there are lots of full bodied reds to sample as well as crisp fresh whites. If you visit in August you can take part in the Jumilla fiesta where the wine flows very freely

We are right on the edge of a regional park and at the foot of the Sierra Carche with its beautiful scenery ideal for walkers and for bird watchers

Come in February ,March when there is a sea of pink and white almond blossom or April ,May when all the wild flowers are starting to bloom or in June when the village has its own local fiesta for three days.Come in August when Pinoso has its own fiesta this goes on for a whole week and there are plenty of opportunities to sample the local activities Come in September and you can pick your own almonds ready for Christmas

This is real Spain, peaceful quiet and still with a lot of the old traditions and still unspoilt by tourism.

Pinoso / Raspay area

Our nearest town is Pinoso just 10 mins drive down through the almonds and olives, it has a good selection of bars and restaurants,

Not 5 minutes drive from here is a new restaurant run by an English couple where if you dont want to cook you can have a full English breakfast for about 5 euros They also serve meals in the evenings all freshly cooked and on Sundays if you have a hankering for Sunday Roast you can get one here. In Pinoso there are a number of restaurants which serve menu of the day, a choice of first course and main course and a dessert tea or coffee a bottle of wine between two for around 8.50 euros. Children are always made welcome and The Manor House has a small children's playground

There is a Sports Centre in Pinoso should you be feeling energetic and we can arrange bike hire should you require it. There is horse riding about 20 minutes away The nearest golf course at present is about 35 mins drive away

Pinoso has 2 main fiestas one in February and the other in August when the town goes wild and the residents in town get very little sleep. There is also a Sports Centre in Pinoso if you feel energetic Pinoso is the fifth richest town in Spain.

Within half an hours drive are many other small towns some have places of interest to visit and most have their own markets.

Fancy horse riding, no problem, stables some 20 minutes from here will take you trekking in the countryside or will arrange riding for your children

There are two Spa towns within a short drive both offer therapeutic hot springs and offer various treatments.

Have a day out in Callesparra where the best paella rice in Spain comes from,see the rice fields and visit the sanctuary the scenery is stunning

The nearest golf course is half an hours drive from here and should you wish to visit the beach the nearest is
San Juan 50 minutes drive down good roads.

Alicante town is about the same distance and offers some beautiful shops a port and beaches there is a bus service from Pinoso. should you not wish to drive

Murcia is another large beautiful town a little further than Alicante but well worth a day out.

Benidorm with Mundamar Aqualandia and Terra Mittica are just over an hour away a good day out if you are here with children

You can also get the train from Villena, park at the station free, and have a day out in Valencia, or should you be feeling a little more adventurous leave early in the morning catch the 7.30am train to Madrid arriving at 10.40am and get the train back in the evening at 19.40 arriving back in Villena at 22.50, a long and tiring day but Madrid is worth it and there is none of the hassle that you get when driving,trains here are comfortable, cheap and
mostly run on time

You can be quiet and relax or as energetic as you like here in Raspay.

How to get there

Fly to Alicante we are 50 minutes inland along well signposted roads

Cheap flights available with Easyjet from most UK airports also
Monarch, BMI, Iberia Thomson Fly, Ryan Air and Flybe
Jet 2 operate a service from some northern airports

Car Hire is available from desks in arrivals but we recommend using the net and comparing prices also take care, if you need a roof rack or child seat ,some companies charge extra for them, ask at the time of booking
Most hire companies will allow an extra named driver during the hire for no extra cost but again check before you book and be sure that the correct named drivers appear on your documents

The apartment is very quiet and has two bedrooms, each with twin beds, a large bathroom with a walk in shower kitchen /diner and a well furnished lounge with English television and radio, ideal for people looking for somewhere to relax and unwind, It is not really suitable for young children as there are no facilities in the immediate area for them. If you are looking to experience the real Spain you will find it here in the village.

We are resident on the site there is always someone here to help if you need information about the area or have a problem

The swimming pool is set in a private garden with almonds,olives,grapes and fruit trees.There is a large sun terrace all round the pool with sun loungers and umbrellas also a table and chairs in a large gazebo should you wish to eat outside There is also a gas barbecue for visitors use

You may swim in the pool all year round but really only warm enough from May to October
A car is necessary.
Welcome Pack can be in the apartment for your arrival
We do not recommend this holiday with small children as there are no facilities in the immediate area for them
