CAMELOT - Casa los Frailes (the old monks' house) is over 200 years old and has been tastefully restored over the past 6 years by the present owners. The theme is to offer something different and special. The house is situated 1 hour inland from the coast, set in a beautiful valley. In the main house there are 4 double bedrooms each with en suite facilities. In the courtyard there is a 1 bedroom self contained cottage and a jacuzzi. Near the swimming pool there are two x 1 bedroom self contained apartments

Come to the Old Monks House and enjoy a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. Do as little or as much as you want, go for a walk in the beautiful countryside. Swim in the pool, solar heated from April to October (longer if you wish ), or take a soak in the Jacuzzi kept at a constant 38 degrees all year round. Relax around the pool or on one of the sun terraces. Have a BBQ, or try one of the local restaurants, with both Spanish and English cuisine .Suitable for couples year round or families during the school holidays.

Camelot has everything you need to de-stress, you can even have some therapy with hot and cold stones,
be pampered with pedicures and manicures or even have your hair done, all by qualified professionals. You can have total self catering accommodation or come into the big house for B & B .

Although we are in the country, we are located only an hour from Benidorm with all the night life and fun theme parks. We own a luxury apartment on the beach at this popular resort. Why not combine your trip with a two centre holiday? Please refer to Home # for details.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Casa los Frailes is situated in a hamlet just outside pinoso, in a beautiful valley. Pinoso is said to be the 5th richest town in Spain, with the largest working marble mine in Europe. Inland spain is baked in history, you will find the real spain here, whether you just want to relax with only the sound of the birds and wild life, walk in the hills to smell the wonderful fragrances of herbs and lavender, (spring is the best time for this), ,
go to the local bodega to try the different wines from Pinoso and other regions. look at our web for more info.

10 kls in the other direction to Fortuna, is the famous town for is spa baths. (hot springs ), there is also currently a new golf resourt being built. 1 hour away is the night lights of Benidorm, with all the excitment of a large city and a beautiful coast line. Also 1 hr from Casa los frailes are famous places of interest - Guadalest the famous monestary and well worth a visit. Caves of Canalope, or the Fonts de Algarve. Too much to see and do. Pay us a visit and take some time to see all these lovely places, you will be pleasantly pleased.

Pinoso / Canada del Trigo area

So much to do and see. .Go for a nice quiet walk, take in the beautiful countryside and smell the wonderful herbs and flora in the hills, go to local bar for a drink or something to eat then a nice ride . Then take a nice soak in the jacuzzi before a lovely evening meal or drive out to one of the near towns for the nightlife. There are many attractions to be had within 1 hour, and lots of festivals during the year. A new golf course is being built just 15 minutes drive away - due to be open next year....
The Jummilla wine festival is not to be missed in August around 6th,

All main airports from the uk and ireland , easyjet, monarch, thompson,ryanair,bmi,british airways, first choice.
nearest airports are alicante (under 1 hour ) and murcia ( approx 1. 30 minutes)

In the main house, there are 2 sitting rooms one of which has a log fire for those (rare ) cold winter nights.
/ 1 dining room / 1 breakfast room/ office for use of the internet at a nominal charge / library / chess sitting area / downstairs toilet and shower/ small utility for making hot drinks , and use of iron (for people staying on B & B basis) upstairs there is a bathroom with a second toilet.
One of the apartments is disabled friendly with parking outside and wheelchair access. A the swimming pool there is wheelchair access and a separate wash room and toilet with wheelchair access .
Outside the apartments there are sun terraces and use of a BBQ.
The various sun terraces around the main house offers sun at all times.
Althouth we maintain a no- smoking policy in the accommodation, there are allocated smoking areas at the pool and sun terraces.

There is a large heated swimming pool and garden with a pagoda to sit out of the mid-day sun.
Wheelchair access and toilet facilities. Various gardens and sun terraces. In all directions the house has beautiful views of the valley and surrounding area.

At camelot we have a no smoking policiy within any of the accommodation , however there are allocated smoking areas.
we are unable to take pets,
our terms of payment are 20% deposit upon booking with balance payable 4 weeks prior to arrival.
we must add that we are disabled friendly only not completely disabled use. there is wheelchair access and assistance on hand. .(proprietor was for many years a paramedic on the london amublance service)
we also offer a two way holiday, split your holiday between the countryside and our beach apartment in benidorm. give us a call to discuss.

Casa los Frailes is ideally situated and has all the facilities for
those special occasions and special functions ie. BBQ parties, Valentine's weekend , Seminar's, work camps. music camps , walking holidays , golf breaks,birdwatching. wine tasting etc.
For example we recently hosted a local guitar teacher with his class of 15 keen and hungry students
and special BBQ evening for 50 guests, dancing under the stars, with local music melodies.
Quality home cooked European , English & Asian cuisine prepared by our much travelled proprietress ,using only the best fresh local ingredients. Plus, of course, extremely good wines from the region. we had a two way break, spent a few lovely relaxing days in one of the comfortable apartments at Camelot
then drove down to Benidorm and had a few days staying in the owners beach apartment , had the best of both worlds, highly recommended will definitely book again. mr and mrs snooks. dorset.
